Late Winner In Stoppage Time | Tottenham Hotspur v Aston Villa Highlights | Barclays WSL 2024-25

Could have stemmed the momentum. They're hoping to pick it back up this afternoon. A decent start to proceedings as strike comes in from O'Cairns from the edge of the box. Over it for Villa. It's going to be the right foot of Staniforth and it's headed against the ball by Daly and then on the rebound it's put in by Anna Patton and Aston Villa take the lead. Delivery in. Punched away by D'Angelo. It wasn't the greatest of punches and O'Rourke hits it and it's cleared away. Even played Baz in the air. Salmon brings it down. It is Ebony Salmon's shot. Grabs it out of the sky. Good play by Grant and Salmon. Grant works it to Ebony Salmon and the effort wasn't a bad one. Possession given away. Here is Bo Cairns. Missy Bo Cairns. Rachel Corsi has been back in training this week. The club captain and that has been good for Aston Villa as well. Here comes Naz. Gets the shot away but it's just got her body into a good position and she kept up with Jez Naz. That shouldn't really be a foot race. Now a opening for Ebony Salmon for Aston Villa. Salmon doubles the lead for Aston Villa. Just a second WSL goal of the season for the 24 year old but she took it well. Didn't quite deal with as Holtz played it into the penalty area. Here's Holtz again and it was headed on target. Neville with some space to run into. Here's Naz who turns the pass to Neville. Back to Jez Naz who hits it and it's... and was able to keep it out. Much better from Tottenham. Nice corner and then back across the six yard line. Naz is there. Jez Naz. Johnny on the spot to react quickly. Goalkeeper's come a long way and hasn't got it. Here is Maurice. She squeezes it in and Aston Villa guilty of causing their own downfall. That is a mistake from Sabrina D'Angelo. Here is that Aston Villa change. Hansen coming on to replace Miri Taylor. Able to find a return pass to Patton. Tottenham look to try and play their way out but possession given away and the strike on goal. Still time for a winner. Here's Grant into Hansen. Hansen gets past one defender. Kirsty Hansen. What a goal and it's Kirsty Hansen on the bench to score against Liverpool last time out and she's done it again this time against Tottenham. A superb individual effort. Here is Daly. Parker takes it forwards. There's the full-time whistle. It's a big win for Aston Villa. Kirsty Hansen.
