Alcaraz Headlines; Rublev Battles Davidovich Fokina | Barcelona 2025 Highlights Day 4

Nice, early steal into the net at the first opportunity. Oh, clean winner. Goodness me, what a way to secure a double break. A thoroughly professional, business-like opening set here from Carlos Alcaraz. That's good variation as well, tucking up with the jammer. Oh, it's a peach. Terrific. One of the best shots, if not the best, that Gerrard has played. And there it is. A rather scrappy game there. Perhaps the wind played its part. Oh dear. Oh, what play. Converts, break point number three. Just 70 minutes on the clock. Alcaraz reaches another quarterfinal here in Barcelona. Extends his winning streak here in the Catalan capital to 12 matches. Not a classic. Would not be deterred. Eventually. Quality opening set. Unbelievable tennis. Same scenario as the opening set here. Grueling physical effort from Karin Hachanov to return to the quarterfinals in Barcelona. For the second time in his career. That's better. It's too good. Gorgeous strike. Give him time and that is going to be the outcome. Not punching through yet. Fantastic point. It's good enough. It's more than good enough. Fabulous finish. To set one for Davidovic for Kina. Yeah, he could get there in bags of time. Stunner. Crazy point. But it ends in a Spanish smile. For Andro Davidovic for Kina. He has a win over Andro Ruble for the first time. It's another top ten win. In such an impressive year for the Spaniard. And the added bonus. It comes here in Barcelona. And that makes it even more special. Utterly brilliant. Terrific. There he is again. What a scruffy start. You have to say by both players in these opening two games. Goodness me. Well haven't we been treated already? Once again he's there. Onto it like a flash. That's what play. There it is. There's the money shot. And there's the double break. There we are. Deadly from the demon. A third Barcelona quarterfinal for the Australian.
