Alcaraz & Monfils Clash; Draper Battles Auger-Aliassime | Cincinnati 2024 Day 5 Highlights

Great decision, a great serve and that's a great set for Gael Monfils. His tactics. He's got his rewards, he's got the break, threads the needle, he's won a win, he's seven years of age and still causing problems for the world's best, comes through this held up second round contest and what a fabulous third set he played. Full of variety, full of imagination, used all his experience and still entertaining, that's what it means. Went pretty big with the second, so another deciding set required for Jack Drayton. Oh my goodness, what a pass. This time the British number one makes his move. Can you believe it? No, no, no. Surely that's gone down to the court, surely. He's through to the quarter finals. He breaks, as easy as that from Monfils. That's a brilliant finish. Well he's come flying out of the blocks. So what's the moral of the story? Absolutely outrageous. Oh, just right on the line with that volley. Pogoruna, his quarter finals bounce here in Cincinnati. Fist pumps all round from his team. Yes, very nice. And that will do it for the opening set. Yeah, it's good. And he breaks to Love and he's well on his way.
