Final game of this three game
series and Kumar Rocker getting
the start for Texas Kumar with
one start already here.
Globe like Doty pitched really
well but still searching for his
first career win as the Rangers
try to complete a sweep.
They've also won eight straight
home games due to some great
starting pitching Kumar trying
to keep that up.
And here's Kumar Rocker a two
time first round pick on the
mound for the Rangers.
Yeah I mean it's just a great
story.
The perseverance is here he is.
He's got that perfect pitcher's
body he's got a good arm
fastball Taylor Ward hits one
toward the right field wall
pretty deep Garcia's chasing it
over his head at one hops over
the fence and it's an automatic
double and a good start for the
Angels tonight a team that has
seen their offense go to sleep a
bit over the last couple of
days Taylor Ward has a double to
start things in this one.
Renito it's one in the air
pretty deep right center field.
Garcia has a beat though.
Ward is tagging as Garcia makes
the catch and Ward will make it
to third base.
That's the first out but a good
scoring chance early on here.
Mike Trout bats here playing in
right field again tonight with
Taylor Ward at third base.
Roy strikes him out got him on
the slider.
Rockers first strike out of the
night and that's a big one to
away.
A big strikeout runner on third
nobody out.
Angels trying to manufacture a
run.
That is a nasty slider.
It's a big run out there.
You've got to find a way to get
him home again.
Go back to find a way.
And now Solaire lines a base hit
to give the Angels the lead.
He finds a way to make it one to
nothing.
Was it absolute rocket by
Solaire.
One hundred six point seven off
the bat.
That's finding a way to get us
another hit versus a fastball.
It'll be Jack Kahana what's on
the mound for the Angels
tonight.
Been trending not necessarily in
the right direction through his
first three star started off
well.
You see that E.R.A. close to
six.
Simeon off to a slow start
chopper toward third at that
stage.
But Donnell couldn't hold it and
Simeon is on with an infield hit
Simeon with the lead in the
pitch to Seager.
He smashes out at the right
field base hit.
Marcus got a pretty good start.
He'll head to third.
Tosses it back in.
But the Rangers have him on the
corners.
Nobody out in the first inning.
Great job by Marcus.
Easy situation going first to
third there.
The Rangers set up to score at
least one hopefully more.
Here is Garcia a fly ball here
would score the tying run.
And here's a Daly's drilling one
out in the deep center field.
Harris has room as he back
pedals near the warning track and
makes the catch tagging at third
is Simeon.
He scores easily.
So on the sack fly to deep
center Adolies Garcia has tied
this game at one of the Rangers
matching the Angels run in the
first inning with a run of their
own.
Sean Owell scoops one in the air
to right center Tavares coming
on slides and he's got it.
How about that for our
Wutterberger.
What a play.
Leone Tavares coming in and to
his left a little slip and slide
that action and taking a base
hit away from Nolan Sean Owell
to begin the top of the second
count Owell to here on Paris.
Oh and he'll strike out looking
a slider right down the middle.
Eight pitches in the second
inning for Kumar Rucker and two
quick outs and then carves up
Paris bases loaded.
Nobody out a single hit batsman
another hit four hits already
for Texas.
The Rangers have them loaded
nobody out in Leone Tavares the
batter big opportunity here
there is to 16 average and he
hits that ball hard that's out
of the center field a base hit
that gets two runs home for
sure.
Higashioka may have a chance
he's the third base.
They'll wave him.
Here comes a throw to the plate
Higashioka slides and they got
him for the first out of the
inning to run score on the
Tavares double.
And the Rangers now lead three
to one another Ranger getting a
good swing on a sinker and just
drilling it up the alley and
right center field three one
Ranger lead early on the counts
three and O'Day Adoles Garcia.
So see if Adoles has the green
light three oh he does and that
one is hammered to left field
Ward is back in the track at the
wall out of here.
Adoles Garcia leaving the yard a
solo home run and the Rangers
take a four to one lead.
Well just kind of felt that
based upon his swings yesterday
and how he looked at the plate
that he was due for one of these
and you're right.
He had the green light at three
and oh that pitch was up toward
the inside part of the plate and
he crushed it.
Part of the order coming up here
for the Angels with Trout Soler
and O'Hoppy one strike pitch and
he hits that sharply to short
stop right to Seager and he'll
throw out Trout one away and
he'll pop this one up right to
Corey.
Two away and he strikes out
again fifth strike out of the
night for Kumar Rocker another
quick inning eight pitches needed
here with the four the Angels
now are making it interesting.
Angels could use a big hit.
Bats have been asleep here in
Texas over the last two games.
It'll be Luis Renhefer who's
over two today.
He says loaded he slaps it to
left and he has a base hit one
run is in Chautauqua Anderson's
on his way home as the ball gets
pulled out of the left field
corner thrown into the middle of
the infield but the runners
don't advance.
Luis Renhefer gets a big two
strike two out two run single
and the other way back up
slider.
He was short enough to go the
other way.
That's exactly what his approach
was and a successful approach.
He loses down by one with
truck coming to the dish.
And now Mike Trout tying and go
ahead runs around base in the
fifth and Trout swings and
misses.
Yes he did.
Six strikeout of the night for
the rookie Kumar Rucker.
The Angels are closer now
thanks to a big two out base
hit by Luis Renhefer with
Peterson leading off as he rolls
one to the right side when he
followed the diving stop from
his knees to throw in time.
What a play.
He's all right.
He looked like he turned his
wrist but he was able to get up
for what a play that was.
This is a nice play by Renhefer
going to his right.
He's got to quickly just get to
his knees and fire a strike.
Good job by Rucker.
He's getting some whiff tonight
though.
You see that twelve swings and
misses but that pitch count
still pretty low.
So at least he's giving himself
a chance swing and a miss a one
to three inning for Rucker
quality start in the books
career high six innings of work
for Rucker in a career high
tying seven strikeouts.
The two two swung on and miss
Parra strikes out.
That is eight strikeouts for
Rucker tonight.
Just absolute filth from
Rucker.
Anderson hits one on the ground
a short Seager's got it throws
to first another one two three
inning for Kumar Rucker.
He's retired seven straight and
he is through a career high
seven innings in relative ease.
The Rangers leading four to
three as we go to the bottom of
the seven Seager goes after the
first pitch of the inning deep
out to center field.
It is gone one hundredth home
run for Corey Seager as a Texas
Ranger and he adds to the
Rangers lead tonight.
That's a big insurance run.
Corey Seager when he gets a hold
of a fastball in the middle of
the plate there is no part of
any ballpark that can hold him.
Robert Garcia is trying for his
first major league save and
trying to nail down the first
big league win for Kumar Rucker
Shadwell the batter and there's
a little roller Berger will take
it himself and that does it.
A five pitch ninth inning for
Robert Garcia to get the save.
The Rangers win it five to three
and now Bruce Bochy seventh
place on the all time wins list
tied with Dusty Baker two
thousand one hundred eighty
three career wins.
Congrats to Boch.
Great day for the Rangers.
They complete the sweep of the
Angels and what an outstanding
outing from Kumar Rocker.
