Hoof Trimming and Bird House and Feeders

woods Uh just heading out to the barn The girls have already come out Uh we're going to do the uh hoof trimming Uh we may remove some of the plastic around the outside I'm not sure what terrace plants are but uh as you can see around uh the snow is virtually gone so that is great We've still got some over there at the house of course on the north side but it's supposed to be I think 18° today so that's nice and balming Uh I got my light shirt or my light jacket on here Uh so we are going to go in and uh check on the animals Good morning Coco No babies yet do you have any babies so we've only got the two Hi Patunia How's the kids yeah they look like they're doing good Itching to get outside Weather's warming up Holly how about you nothing And the bunnies they're getting big So what we're going to do today is we're going to do some uh pedicures We're going to check your little feets Yeah And uh trim them up I won't do these three out No not yet Well she can be done No because if they happen to get an infection through a uh like if you trim it too short and they happen to get an infection it can affect the labor So I've heard not put them through stress Well yeah we can um the way we got to hold their bellies Look at the way she's rubbing her belly Fresh to rub your belly on Oh there it is Uh you know like we toss them up and we pick them up and I mean these three Well and we can do them when uh when they go out So [Music] yeah So these these two here are the last two in here Uh we put the other ones back out Uh so they're the younger ones Um we figure they're not uh there's nothing there Oh and Penny she's sitting on a nest Yeah she was sitting last weekend Yeah So she is now So she's sitting on a nest And then what's this and then that's this one Okay So we've got Oh jeez But what is she doing there is there eight eggs or something now i know Two four six eight nine eggs Okay Penny I'm not sure I think she's only got like six Yeah I'm not quite sure I shot of vetilize down the back So just trying to keep the bugs the summer bugs down so everybody's now happy We had a couple screamers Uh mainly it was the boys over there Um Jazz and J um Jazz and Joey So that's Joey and Jazz Uh so Little John wasn't too bad but um but they uh they are now good for a while And uh we will do the other goats inside and Sheldon Uh and we probably don't need to worry about Shimmer We are going to be getting her sheared along with the sheep So and I think her feet were already done But I think what we might look at getting or building is a stand Uh we've just kind of done it that way where one person holds and the other person cuts Uh but you know looking at things uh doing things a little easier uh moving forward is something that uh that we look at and maybe a folding down table that uh goes in there and they jump up on So we'll have to look into that Okay Marlene's got all the treats So they've got their hay and Marlene's doing treats Of course Turbo's right there And George get it back up Can smell the apples right triple There's tons on the ground Yeah [Music] Here get there's one in here There you go Okay Did you get it all right You're good That's it You got all your thing Okay Fresh [Music] So these two little kids also got a little treatment So we treated them to make sure we're keeping them nice and healthy and bug free [Music] Right mama so we're back in the house and uh Terra went and bought us some sun shades or hats I don't do they call them sun shades cuz we're not getting older Yeah So she thinks that we don't look farmish enough maybe And then so they're Tilly's which is a good name brand as far as I'm concerned Yeah And uh putting a Is it straight Yeah Sewing on the 10acre Woods uh Yeah 10acre Woods uh leather patch that I made up uh on the laser engraver And speaking of the laser engraver so I was making a project for our local uh animal adoption center Uh they were just kind of decorating and getting things all built over the uh over the winter months And I thought it would be a nice little uh thing to have uh a sign So their logo it's Rams Adoption Center Uh and here is their logo And what I did is I took that and I put it into a program and did up this So of course it's you can kind of get an idea It's just this way because it doesn't fit on but uh you know that will go down below and then the adoption center Uh so I cut that out and it looked pretty sharp just uh stuck on the wall Uh we used double-sided tape or carpet tape to uh to attach it I did some other ones in the past this here I guess Terra thought it would be cute to take the uh the inner cut out of the cat that was in there and maybe turn that into into another cat And of course the tail was the cut out of the dog's tail here So um Terra painted that up and that uh will well we'll find a time to install that at Rams at the new adoption center Right So uh the other thing we're doing is now that we have warmer weather the sun is out so we're like go go go go Time to get stuff So over the winter um we have gotten some stuff from companies and of course you've seen this before in previous videos we're going to put this up but you notice that something is different uh I think it was uh Shirley Curtis 6988 I think it was had commented that hole looks a little big and I commented back saying well it's an inch and a quarter and that's what I kind of figured out I went and I took a tape measure to the hole the hole that's underneath this little piece that I put on and it was 2 in and I'm like oh man okay so thank you Shirley Uh I went and I laser engraved this little cover that I glued onto it with an inch and a/4 size hole Um so that and if you're just watching the video for the first time you haven't watched our content there is a camera in here and we're going to be capturing over the next who knows how long it'll take Uh once the birds migrate back to our cold neck of the woods as it warms um we'll see some action here Uh so then we've seen the perk peek the avia peek uh before because what we did is we did a video with the cats So we set it up with cat treats and had a little fun with that Um then this uh vin guys uh I guess saw our content and they're like "Hey we've got one too We can send this to you and you can check it out." So we're going to put these two bird feeders out today as well as the bird house So we're going to get everything all set up And then you've also got Are we going to get to that uh sale this probably won't be yet cuz I take it take apart the There was a company that sent us uh or they asked "Would you use a a shade sale?" So um we looked into it and it's kind of neat It's a um it's a sale looking You I've seen them at like amusement parks and and places So this will probably go over the the picnic area Maybe the picnic area I'm not quite sure yet but yeah Yeah We haven't decided We've got to figure out anchor points and and where it's going to go I hurt my finger with what i was cleaning your popcorn machine Oh right It hurts So the popcorn machine uh that's over there So Terra was doing some uh some cleaning and I guess there was a little metal part that uh and of course finger cuts are you know they take so long they hurt It's like a paper cut So um so yeah so that's what we're going to do today We're going to do these three things anyway We'll get those set up and then we'll kind of show you guys where we put them and then um see what kind of footage we get uh of off all three of the cameras you watch It'll be Chipmunks Yeah I like it'll be Chipmunks or Danny Yeah the squirrel Yeah Danny the squirrel or some chipmunks Who knows so we'll see And apparently what they have is I've had a brief look at them There is AI AI is around us all the time now And uh they will tell you when a bird comes and they'll tell you what kind of bird it is And then I think there's a little the little documentary on the app and you check off all the different birds So stay tuned We'll get these things up So it's now Sunday about 24 hours since we put up the uh the bird feeders Uh so we put up the two bird feeders and the bird house So here is the uh the Vin Guys bird feeder So there it is there And then there's a solar panel just on the back side of it right there So I have caught the only thing I've caught on it is a fly So there was a fly that was on one of the oranges Uh other than that no birds have been spotted on that one as of yet So the other one I put over here on this pole and then the birdhouse I put over on that pole This one has had a lot more activity I put uh you can see the solar panel up there and this one's a little bit lower I don't know if that makes any difference but there it is here So we've had two different birds on this one Now the first one looks like a chickity and the second one well actually no there's three uh because there's the second one that's all black uh with an orange beak and then there's another one with a white uh a white on the face black and white So if you know what these birds are then uh leave them down below in the comments So they both have bird recognition software AI recognition but Unfortunately the one that only showed the fly on it uh didn't have or it's got a free trial So I've put the free trial on it and I'll see what happens during the week and see what it comes up with Uh but it's only had the fly The other one that's actually had some action on it Uh there is a charge There's a charge for both of them You don't get a a free trial period on that So I wasn't able to activate it So I wasn't able to tell or see if it can tell what the birds are Uh so this one here here's where I put the uh Home Tweet home bird house Uh so there it is Uh you can see the USB thing just sticking out the bottom Uh I'm going to probably pick up I might pick up an extension cord for it Uh and run the power down to here Uh it is a real link door camera that is inside it and we'll see how it lasts The battery is pretty good they come out and you'll often find them here Sunning Shimmer what do you think what do you think uh during the week Terra put the birds out So here we've got the roosters kind of just hanging out doing their own thing here It looks like we have some geese on the pond So there's some Canada geese some wild ones We get them coming in from time to time Uh the female is on the left and the male is on the right You can usually tell the male is a little bit larger uh stands a little bit taller uh keeping an eye on things protecting his girl and uh so there they are So the ducks and the geese So they've all been kind of just hanging around waiting for the pond to melt There are some over on the side there Oh that looks like Charlie He's uh he's cleaning up well And so it uh it'll start to come out And then once we get enough uh melting in here we'll throw the pump in that we'll start moving this water around and promote ice melting That's the key Looking good Oh we've got a friend Yeah we got two friends Yeah over there So male female cuz Gwen is actually uh Gwen's like right over [Music] there So along with the other geese Shimmer Shimmer Hi Sheldon There they go [Music] Thanks for
