Abandoned Victorian Home from 1868 | Historic Abandoned House | Urban Exploring with Freaktography
This historic abandoned house was built in 1868 by a very wealthy and prominent member of the community. Originally built on 30 acres of land. The owner died in 1886 and in 1993 the city designated this house as a "property of historical, architectural, and contextual value and interest".
This means the home cannot ever be demolished and must be preserved with any future development of the land

I have passed this home on many occasions and wondered what its status was and noted a number of times that lack of any activity, tire tracks or any signs that the home is being used.
My suspicions were correct as I approached the home one day to find it empty inside and open, lots of original work inside such as an old fireplace, thick wood trimming around the windows and doors. It seems to have been used as a business at some point and the business owners sealed off doorways to create closed offices and a boardroom.
