Hi everyone, I'm Jeff Teague.
I'm on location at Toyota Con.
We're looking at a Corolla Cross Hybrid.
Actually, have you ever pulled into the drive-thru at Taco Bell and you're like, give me a Baja
Blast?
No.
Now we get to order Acidic Blast.
And this is really cool for me because when Corolla Cross first came out, I think everybody's
question was, where's the hybrid?
Where's the hybrid?
Believe me, I heard the comment, well it's here now.
And as a matter of fact, we've got the SE Hybrid in Barcelona Red and we've got the
XSE Hybrid Acidic Blast.
And you guys, there's a ton of pressure on me because I've got about 10 Toyota folks
watching me review this right now.
So take a look as we walk around.
The Corolla Cross Hybrid is going to average 37 mpg combined, which is a big bump up.
And I think that'll be a great option for those folks looking to conserve fuel in a
time when it's probably important to conserve fuel.
So take a look at the XSE.
It's a tongue twister at the end of the day, XSE.
Extra Special Edition, Extra Sport Edition, Toyota will tell them.
All right, so take a look at these wheels here on the XSE and then let's compare these
18 inch wheels to our front, our front, our friend, these are 17 inch wheels on the SE.
Look down the line, let's continue our tour looking around.
And for me, I got to applaud Toyota because we always know that they have a reputation
for vanilla colors, but not in the past few years.
When you get something like this, I want to talk to the paint color naming department.
This is incredible.
Way to take chances, Toyota.
This is impressive.
And then as we walk around here, look at the black badging, look at the people watching
me and then take a look up top here.
We've got the two-tone and you'll see that in several different color options with the
two-tone roof and then you'll get other options for just the single paint color.
Flip on over to here, got another two-tone roof, Barcelona Red.
So let's look around inside.
I really like the cargo space in here.
I like that it has a tall opening, so you could probably put suitcases vertical right
in here.
Of course, you can put the seats down, I see you in there.
And then a little bit of space for whatever you want it to be.
I see JBL speakers, which is cool to see on the SE.
What else do we see?
We've got fabric seats.
These seats are all the way back, so I don't know if that's a good representation unless
you have really tall people sitting.
I see black with blue accents, we've seen that in other Toyota models before.
And then let's look from the back.
I like the rear air vents, I appreciate that.
Is that something?
Oh yeah, USB is right in there too.
Okay.
All right, let's look on in here at the front, see a sunroof there.
This does not have a power-operated driver's seat, nor does it have a power passenger seat.
Great, good room for sport models.
Steering wheel, leather-wrapped.
And then in here, USBs, electronic parking brake, brake hold, I see wireless charging
right here, different drive modes.
All right, that's the SE, okay.
So it's XSE's turn.
See parking sensors, got a power liftgate going on.
And in the back, this is going to have soft-tech seating, and it's a combination of black with
gray.
Now we're going to look from the back, thankfully, USBs and rear air.
I assume that every level is going to have the 8-inch multimedia raised screen, that's
what it looks like to me.
All righty, let's look on in here as I be your tour guide, your moderator for today's
event.
It does not have a power passenger seat, but it does have a driver-passenger power operation.
Driver power operation for the seat.
I said that horribly.
I know if I don't comment that I said it horribly, people are going to be like, you said that
horribly.
Turn signal indicator, blind spot monitor standard, we're going around, ho.
And then let's take a look here.
We've got a power driver seat with lumbar support, people will certainly appreciate
that.
And let's look at our controls here, traction control, automatic high beams, brightness
of the dash, power liftgate, fuel door, trunk, all that jazz.
And then we'll look up here, I think we see some differences now.
Thanks everyone so much for watching.
Which one do you like better, the Hybrid SE, Hybrid XSE?
It's exciting just to see another option that gives us fantastic fuel efficiency in this
size vehicle.
It's comfortable, it's spacious, I think you're going to like it.
So let me know in the comment section which one you prefer, which one would you go for?
Thanks so much.
Hit subscribe, see you next time.
Thank you.
Blah blah blah.
