Today we are quizzing Matt on weird pregnancy related products
What's up dudes?
I thought you were going to do the intro.
Today we are going to do quizzing my husband
on pregnancy products.
We got this idea from Jess and Gabe so definitely
go watch their video.
You can't look. Oh sorry.
Don't move the screen.
Like how big is this?
I can't tell you anything about scale.
You can't give me any scale? Uh uh.
My guess is that this pregnancy product
it's this slight U shape.
It kind of looks like a pregnancy pillow.
I'm going to say this is a pregnancy pillow because you do have a pregnancy pillow.
Am I right? I got it right?
Woo hoo! Next one.
Whoa.
This orange blow up ball.
What is this thing man?
We were just told by one of our friends that's giving birth soon
that they have to stick a balloon up there
and like inflate it
to like help get them into labor.
Isn't that something? So I'm going to say this is a balloon.
Wait how does it work? Basically you blow up
the balloon to help dilate
the area and then from there
it helps you get birth. Show me how it works.
Dude what the freak?
You made that look like it was tiny.
You made it look like it was this big.
That thing's like freaking 5 feet. I think it's called a birthing peanut.
Kind of like it opens up your hips
gets them in a good position. Okay.
I'm going to say this is an overnight bag that unravels
so that you can put like all your different pregnancy
pads and
creams and ointments or
whatnot. I just know there's a ton of products
that you need to help recover
after the pregnancy. I quite honestly
don't know the names of so I'm going to say
that's what this is. It's like a pregnancy bag.
Dude that's literally a bra strap.
It's an extender. A bra extender?
You can hook your bra in
so when the hoobies get bigger
your bra can expand.
If you don't get this you're done for.
That one's easy. That's prenatal vitamins.
Yes. Matt's even gotten my
prenatals for me. I have bought them and I got
them with the correct additives too.
There were certain things that you needed. DHA.
DHA. I don't know. Not everyone does that.
Biker shorts.
How is it anything different than biker shorts?
I hate to tell you this. They are disposable
mesh underwear for
after the baby comes. What?
I have like a 12 pack of these that
you throw away because there's going to be a lot of
blood and
goop and fluids.
Yeah so you just wear those.
I mean it's literally just like underwear.
Is that just an adult diaper basically?
I think so yeah.
Oh I know what that is.
That's the wand that goes up your hoo-ha.
I've seen that during the doctor's appointments.
That's an ultrasound device. An ultrasound wand.
Is that what it's called? An ultrasound wand? Is that the name?
What in the world is that?
This looks like some sort of cooling device.
I'm guessing it goes like on your boob.
It goes on your boob?
What's your guess? It goes around your boob
your nipple goes through the hole and it
now that sounds really weird.
It goes on your hoo-ha after birth.
It's a cooled chilled device.
No you were so close before.
Are you serious? It's for your
boob. Breast therapy pack.
Oh so after like when you're
breastfeeding. Yeah like if you're having pain
you can make it cold. It says use cold
to reduce pain and swelling
caused by engorgement.
Which is like a bunch of milk coming in at once.
Next is this one.
Oh so your ankles
get really puffy because of all the extra
weight and so it's going to help like
reduce swelling around your ankles.
Yeah they're compression socks.
Compression socks.
Actually I think I know what that is. That's to put on your nipple
and suck out a clogged milk
duct.
Am I right? Are you just making that up? Did I actually
get that right? I got it right!
Gosh dang it. Does it go up your
your butthole?
Which hole does that go up? What would you be putting that
in your butthole? I don't know. Don't you get
constipated? Do you get constipated after birth
and so you need? No that wouldn't go up there.
That would be
Okay it's not for your boob. It's not for
your butt. It has to be for your vagina.
It's actually for the baby.
Oh it's to suck out their boogers. Yes!
Hey!
Bro that thing looks like a vibrator.
No lie. Is it a vibrator?
I have one of these.
It looks like some sort of vibration device.
It vibrates?
Wait. That's to help unclog
a clogged milk duct in your breast.
Right? It's a lactation massager.
Boom! Got it. Next one.
Oh! Know what this is for?
I think the end is a little
liquid holder area so you hold
some sort of liquid and I squeeze
and it'll spray you with water
when you're peeing so that you're not
getting acid in your healing wounds after
you give birth. Yeah you really did a good job.
Boom! It's called a peri bottle.
Next one is this one.
That is
it looks like some sort of little strip.
It looks like a little strip that you
dip in liquid to see levels of some sort.
But what do you use it for?
Is this literally just a pregnancy test?
It's an ovulation test so it tells you if you're ovulating.
Okay next one would be
What is this?
Are those forceps that go around the baby's head to pull them out of the vagina
when you're giving birth?
How'd you know that? I don't know.
I feel like I've seen forceps before.
They kind of look like salad tongs.
Yeah like big salad tongs. Oh my gosh!
Wait that goes in. Wait it literally goes in there.
Oh you thought it was once the head came out?
I thought it was once the head came out. They literally put it inside you?
Yeah that goes in you.
Holy freak! I don't know if it's a common practice.
How does that not hurt the baby by pulling a baby by it's head?
I think that's why it's not a common practice anymore
because their skulls are not
very hard.
Who thought like if we can't get the baby out I'll just
freaking pull it by the head. Like when do you pull a human by the head?
Like in any situation.
I think that's why it's not a common practice anymore.
Next one would be this thing.
That goes around your waist
to support your back.
No it's like a belly.
It's a belly band. It helps support your belly.
Yeah! I haven't used one of these.
Honestly I don't feel like...
But my belly feels really supported.
Oh okay that's good.
Next one is this one.
Is that a baby monitor?
Or like a baby night light for a baby?
Nope it's for mom.
I literally have no idea.
Matt what do you think this bottom part is used for?
I thought it was a humidifier like to hold water and
like spritz it out into the air.
Okay not hold water.
It's a mobile breast pump.
Yeah I don't know if you get the point for that one.
I don't think you get the point.
I did this and I said milk.
You did say milk.
What is this one?
Is this the rectal thing for the baby?
Yes!
That helps them not be constipated?
Yeah. It helps them if they've got gas.
So you stick it up there and then
they're good?
I think it just helps them toot.
Wow.
It's the gas passer.
Next one is right about here.
That is a
ice pack for your hoo-ha.
It's a maxi pad
that also can be an ice pad.
These devices are brutal.
Next one.
Cookies.
I thought this one would get you.
Do they have some sort of laxative in them
to help you poop after giving birth?
Good guess.
Cookies.
How do cookies have
literally anything to do with giving birth?
These are specifically lactation
cookies so they help
you to produce more milk.
I thought you were going to be like,
hey Matt, this is literally so random.
This is actually a real thing.
It's lactation cookies.
You're not making this up.
I can't see what the device is but I'm guessing
it's a laxative.
Does that mean it makes you poop?
Yeah.
It's a stool softener.
It helps you poop after giving birth.
Next one is going to be this one.
Is that like a little potty for a baby to poop in?
No, for a little kid.
How does this work?
I think you sit on it.
It's called a sits bath.
Did you do your research before, honey?
It says you can give yourself a sits bath
in your bathtub or with a plastic kit
that fits over your toilet.
It's not just water in there.
I think you put Epsom salts in there.
Ah, okay. Interesting.
Next one is this one.
Oh my gosh.
That's a device to extend the razor
so you can reach down and shave your leg.
Which is for right now, right?
Don't you just take your leg up like this
and shave?
I don't think many women probably purchase this.
This is funny to me.
Hey, could you please hit the like button?
It really helps us out and it's super quick.
Oh, that's just a manual breast pump.
Okay, kind of, but not really
because it's not a pump.
I learned about this recently. It's called a Hakka.
When you're pumping one side,
the other one tends to leak.
This catches it.
Instead of it just getting wasted,
it just catches it.
You have to suction it on.
Can you pump two at the same time?
You can.
I believe so.
Next one.
Why is it suctioned to the side?
Dude, half these devices look like vibrators.
Have you ever seen that before?
Is it a cooling device?
Does it suck something? Does it blow air?
What on earth could this do?
I literally have no idea.
It's like a little booty spatula
to apply their diaper cream.
You've never seen this?
That's very common.
Probably just so it sticks straight up
and doesn't get dirty or something.
That is...
Are you laughing?
I'm going through the advanced ones now
because I just wanted to stump you.
You're doing good.
Baby or mom?
Is this for when you're giving birth?
Is it before or after you give birth?
It looks like it's latex.
This is honestly just a silly one.
I feel like if you give me more of a hint, I'll get it.
I don't think you're going to get it.
When you're pregnant, every time you go to the doctor,
they make you do a urine sample.
This is for someone if they're a little bit of a diva
and they don't want to just pee.
This is a freaking urine sample device?
You pee into that and then you pour it in the cup.
That is the stupidest invention I've ever heard of in my life.
It's only $7.95.
That's just so you don't have to pee in the cup.
I think I've seen this stuff before.
Is this like anti-itch cream?
It's for the baby?
Nope, for mom. It's more for healing.
You spray it on the pads.
And you put the pad on.
And the pads collect all the different
liquids and blood.
But you can also freeze the pad to kind of cool it.
We have a lot.
Dude, I cannot believe
we're going to have all this happen in a month.
Shocking!
That is earbuds for mom
when she's giving birth.
Is it to hear your baby?
What are you listening to?
Do you want me to give you an explanation of what this is?
Yes. Is this just stupid?
It is completely stupid.
Scientific studies show that babies
in utero respond to music.
While you can strap speakers to your bump
or sing in your baby's general direction,
try BabyPod, the only scientifically
guaranteed speaker for your vag.
Where the heck did you find that?
The system is of course controlled
by a smartphone app.
You put a speaker up your...
At 54 decibels we say for tiny ears.
You literally just stick that up there.
And play Beethoven.
Wow.
Next one.
This one.
It literally looks like some sort of
connection to your computer.
It's like a USB port.
At the doctor or at home?
Doctor.
Oh my gosh, I can't think of anything.
I've been there when it's being used.
Ultrasound device?
Remember they did this last week?
Oh, the little ball.
The little thing that goes on your belly.
That makes a lot of sense.
Next one is this one.
That is...
No idea.
This might be a little dated as well.
This is for childbirth.
That goes on the baby's head internally.
It's like a vacuum.
I think they used that on my mom.
They literally had to use a vacuum to get my brother out.
They put that on the baby's head and they pump this.
That's crazy.
It looks like makeup wipes.
Are they cooling pads?
Can you give me more of a hint?
You need two of these.
They collect colostrum?
And milk.
How does that collect milk?
They're just absorbent pads.
It doesn't collect it.
It just absorbs it.
These are reusable ones, but you can get disposable ones.
It's just pads to put in your bra.
So you don't leak.
That's to check your baby's blood pressure?
I don't know if they can check the baby's blood pressure.
This is the device.
It's the balloon that you put inside
the hoo-ha to cause a contraction.
It doesn't cause a contraction.
Hopefully it causes a contraction.
It inflates the vaginal opening
to a certain length.
Exercise equipment for your lady parts.
No.
Not necessarily to induce labor.
It says, are you desperate to experience
the searing burn of crowning
before you squeeze an infant out of your birth canal?
Oh my gosh.
I personally am not desperate to experience that feeling.
In case I was.
Is it pretty expensive?
Just guess.
Initially I would have said $30, but now I'm going to say $100.
$197. Holy crap.
It looks super soft. It looks very cozy.
Some pregnant people are
worried about radiation.
I remember my dad did not want my mom
to go next to the microwave when she was pregnant.
Are you serious? Yeah.
People were worried about it.
This is apparently
an anti-radiation blanket.
Baby Plus.
This video
has taken a left turn.
These are way too hard, dude.
Is this another music device,
but this one doesn't go inside your vagina,
it goes outside. Does it just go on your belly
and play music for your baby?
Are you serious? I was that close?
It's Rosetta Stone for your fetus.
Oh my lord.
It says it's never too early
to start preparing your little Nobel Prize
winner to be.
Budding tiger moms can start forcing
their baby's brains to develop from 18 weeks
gestation with twice-daily
through-the-belly lessons developed with a
solid understanding of earliest neuroscience.
So you strap that
fanny pack thing on and let
the player provide your wee
Einstein with the very sounds of a child's
natural prenatal auditory environment
with a maternal heartbeat. Is it music
or you said Rosetta Stone, so is it like different languages?
It's an education system
for your fetus. How do you feel about everything going
forward? I'm looking forward to it.
I love you. You're awesome.
We have a lot to learn. We have a lot
to pack. I mean, heck, we need to start
getting a hospital bag ready.
Guys, thank you so much for watching this video. If you haven't hit the like
button, do that right now. It means a lot to us.
Seriously. We post every week, so
make sure your notification bell is on and we'll see
you in the next video. Peace out, dudes!
