Hello, that's me. Oh no, Tom picked something up on the plane and I'm hoping I haven't got
it too. Home sweet home. Hi guys, welcome back to my channel. Welcome
back to a brand new video. I am actually filming in my bedroom today, which feels a bit strange.
It feels kind of like how I used to film back in the old house, always have this set up
in the bedroom. But I thought I would do an American USA haul for you and show you everything
that I picked out. We have freshly landed from New York. If you missed my New York vlogs,
I did a travel to New York vlog solo, solo travel, because I flew there by myself. And
then I of course had my New York vlog, which was honestly incredible. Five days I think
was about the perfect amount. I did a lot of shopping. I took a spare empty suitcase,
which thank goodness I did because boy did I fill it. And yeah, I have everything to
share with you in today's video. If you are new to my channel, I would love it if you
would subscribe. And of course give this video a thumbs up if you also were very excited
for the USA haul that I was like teasing on my Instagram. I was showing you all the places
that I was going in real time. And so many of you were messaging me saying, please tell
me there's a haul coming. There is, and this is it. So I have all the bags in front of
me. We've got some Target, CVS, Trader Joe's. We've got some fashiony bits, Anthropologie.
Went to the M&M's shop. There is lots to get through. I even managed to go and do a little
bit of thrifting in New York. So I popped, I didn't actually include that within the
vlog. I did a full Instagram reel and TikTok, which is already live if you follow me on
either of those. And I did pick up some bits, but I'll show you those at the end of the
video. But anyway, let's just jump into things. I'm going to show you firstly this Lululemon
I popped in. I actually under packed and needed another pair of leggings. So I decided to
pop in and grab a pair of my absolute favorites. I will leave everything that I can in this
video linked below if it is available. I also, when I popped in that, picked up another one
of the Align tanks, which just matches the Align leggings. I've already got one of these,
but I do wear it quite a lot. So I picked that up. Slightly cheaper in America, not
like massively different, especially with the exchange rate the way it is currently.
When I used to live there when I was younger, it was literally two to one. So everything
that you saw in the shops, you'd just half it and that'd be it in pounds. I wish the
same could be said, but it isn't. Next up was my favorite fashion discovery
whilst I was out there. This is a shop called Buck Mason. It's a shop that Tom was keen
on going to when we went and I'd never heard of it before. I think he said that he saw
it in a GQ or something. It's a shop that doesn't ship to the UK, so I was quite eager
to see their women's wear as well that they do. I did treat myself. I would say it's on
the higher end in terms of price point, not like designer prices, but it is quite luxury
affordable fashion. So it was a treat, I will say that. But hopefully they'll come to the
UK soon. Anyway, I picked up these, which I did actually pick up for my travel outfit.
So these need to go in the wash. I wore these back to Manchester and they are a beautiful
light khaki wide leg jogger. Threw that in the wash pile. That's another reason why I'm
filming in here today. Every other room right now is hectic with washing, unpacking, suitcases,
shopping bags, all sorts. So that's when I was like, I'm just going to escape to the bedroom
where everything is normal. And now I'm trashing it. This is the other thing that I wore with it.
It's in the same fabric and it's in a large, this one, just like an over-sized, well, not
oversized, it's in a large, but a sweatshirt, plain sweatshirt. Now they had this colour in
the wide leg joggers, but not in my size. So I decided to mix and match, but I did also pick up
the, that can go in the wash pile, the matching colour to those joggers that did fit in the
hoodie. And it's like a kind of cropped, well, kind of semi-cropped zipper hoodie that I thought
would look lovely as a co-ord, but again, equally as a mix and match option, like I did with my
travel outfit on route home. So this was brand new, not worn this one yet. And again, I got this
in a large, so yeah, $108 this one was. And the pants and the top were also very similar. And I
did also get a couple of basics, and this is one of the main reasons why, how Tom discovered it was
for their basics. He stocked up on a few of their t-shirts and I did get a couple as well. The white
one that I wore as my travel outfit home is in the wash, but this is the other version. It's the
exact same style, this one that I went for. It's the Venice Pima boxy crew, 40 bucks. And this is
in the colour concrete. And how nice is that? Just a really like washed, kind of warm grey. I just
love it. Love it. I just wish they were in England. Although at the price they are, maybe I don't wish
they're in England because I'd probably be too tempted to go there too often. Next up we have
M&M's, but before I show you what I got from M&M's, I've just got in here as well, a couple of
freebies that I grabbed from the hotel buffet breakfast. I've got a couple of these cereals,
Apple Jacks. I don't think I've ever tried Apple Jacks before. Every snack that I show you in here
is not healthy. So let's just accept that and move on. I also got these, which I used to eat all the
time when I lived out there, the frosted mini-wheats. Jif peanut butter, creamy peanut
butter. It's so, so good. And then from M&M's, I got this just on the till. I saw this flavour of
M&M's and I thought they sounded really good. Caramel cold brew. I love coffee flavoured chocolate,
which is quite controversial. I feel like it's hit or miss. Coffee cake as well is my favourite. So
I got those. And then I also got, this is actually Tom's idea. I couldn't believe he thought of this
and I was like, yep, you've sold me the idea. When they have the fill up station with all the
different colours, Tom was like, you need to just go for all beige and fill up one of your glass
jars, especially around Easter time. We've got these little glass Easter egg jars I just have
out with little treats in. And I was like, you know what? You are correct, Thomas. Thank you
for that brilliant idea. That's exactly what I did. So I just stocked up on all of these
beige coloured M&M's. I feel like it's something like the Skims office would have, you know,
like jars of sweets and treats, but all neutral colours. I know. I appreciate that sounds crazy.
So we'll move on. I also popped into Aimรฉ Leon Dior, I think that's how to pronounce it,
and Tom and I both got matching caps, a cute little like memento to the trip, of course,
NYC. We, well, NY, New York, when we saw these ones in Aimรฉ Leon Dior, which by the way,
have a cute little cafe. There was a 10 minute wait to go into the shop and the cafe that they
have outside, you'll have seen in the vlog, if you're watching my New York vlog, I had a Freddo
cappuccino for the first time. So good. Not Freddo as in the chocolate, it's the way that they make
it with like really foamy milk. It was honestly delicious. But yeah, these are the matching caps
that we went for in Navy. Oh, this guys, this purchase just makes me so happy. We went to
Bubby's and that was the best place for food out there, I think was the Bubby's breakfast,
Bubby's brunch. We got there early. We got there for opening and it was already very busy. We
managed to get a table straight away, but then there was a queue after us. So I would say get
that early. I don't think they allow reservations, but Bubby's, they had these, oh no,
this one's slightly rubbed off already. Nevermind. They had these mugs with Bubby's on the front,
which we had our like pour over filter coffee, which they just keep topping up and as you're
drinking it. And honestly, it's just so American and I love it. Pie for breakfast, this one was.
They had a few different designs, but this is the one that I chose to bring home with me.
Nice chunky mug for a filter coffee. I'm just going to relive that moment of eating that brunch
each time I bring out this mug. And then they also sold these cookery books. How vintage is this
cover? I love it. It's called Bubby's Homemade Pies by Ron Silver and Jen Bourbon. And in here
is just loads of different recipes. Oh, cute. There's a little vintage photo booth downstairs.
So definitely test that out if you go to Bubby's and visit. But yes, a recipe book with loads of
different recipes on and illustrations. Like how nice are the illustrations that they use
for all of their different pies? Pecan pie, pumpkin pie with caramel sauce and candied pecans.
I'm going to have to bring this book out at autumn time, aren't I? And just
recreate some of these. In fact, there's loads of different pies for all the year round. So not just
fresh blueberry pie with creme fraiche, homemade chocolate cookies. I'm going to enjoy a nice
flick through this and let me know if you want me to vlog baking a homemade Bubby's pie.
Okay. Anthropology next up. And obviously we have anthropology in the UK. Do you know what?
Why don't we have an anthropology in Manchester? I'll never understand. But I saw this on the
checkout and I actually just kind of grabbed it. This is a very impulse purchase, but from the
brand Kitsch. It's a cold press castor oil, which I've heard is really good for hair growth, but
also to be popping on my eyebrows as I'm going to have my brows done a bit more often. I want to
make sure they're kept in good condition and they recommended castor oil. So I picked that up. And
then a couple of other things that I saw in the homeware section that they very kindly wrapped up
for me to keep them nice and safe. Hopefully they feel safe so far. Firstly, this olive oil canister,
like ceramic, which we could decant some olive oil into and have out on the shelf. It's basically
just white ceramic with the kind of embossed design on the front, a little cork lid. But I
thought, yeah, that could sit out quite nicely. Even in a pantry cupboard, you know how I've done
my pantry all aesthetic, to have something like this sat inside with or outside with the olive
oil decanted into. I thought that was lovely. That one was $48. The castor oil I think was $12.
And then this one was a mug, again, just memories for the trip. I probably maybe didn't have to buy
this having bought the Bubbies mug, but we went to Anthropologie before we went to Bubbies. So
didn't know I was going to be coming home with a Bubbies mug at that point. But the traditional,
typical anthropology mug that they do in this design, I got this one for $14. Okay, so it's
slightly cheap because I think it's about 14 pounds, 15 pounds in England. I also went to
Free People and I do love Free People. But again, it's similar to the Buck Mason price point. It's
something that's not my kind of like everyday spend in there. But I'll show you what I did to
treat myself to. Firstly, these were on checkout and I decided to pick one up in the Scent Lodge,
inspired by a day on the slopes, followed by warm, spicy apres-ski fireside in a dimly lit lodge.
Vanilla, Palo Santo, and Indonesian patchouli. These are little air fresheners. Clothing-wise,
I got, okay, this firstly, this is definitely a summery purchase. This dress, I can imagine
myself living in, in summer, especially in the UK when it's so hot, which I know isn't very often.
But when we do get it and we have no relief from the sun, I just want something light and floaty,
or of course on holidays as well. And it's just a very floaty linen, simple mini dress.
And I just loved it. There's something about it that drew me in. I tried it on,
they had another color as well, but I decided to just go with the one rather than both of them.
In a medium, $68. And then also in cream, I picked up this, which is more like spring,
summer, like to throw over. So if you're wearing jeans and t-shirt, like I am today,
but I'm just a bit chilly, you need that extra layer still. This is like a ribbed,
I have a couple of their jumpers already, the We Are Camden sweatshirts, I think they're called.
They're nice and boxy and loose and oversized. I wear them with leggings and I honestly wear
them so much that my cost per wear is so low that that's how I justify it. And I decided to pick up
this one, slightly different style. But yeah, I've got that. This is another Discovery, again,
another made in America, Discovery, Knickerbocker, New York. Well, say made in America, he was saying
they source their fabrics from Italy, Portugal, but they're designed in America, I think is what
he was saying. Anyway, popped in more so for Tom. And whilst we were in there, he said in the
archive sales. So we headed down there and picked up a couple of treats. I got,
oh, I got this for Tom again, another little birthday purchase. And it's just a cap. He
loves wearing his cap, obviously. Got him the other one as well. But he doesn't have one this
color and I thought it was lovely. So this one up for him. It's just got the name, writing
Knickerbocker and then NY on the back. And then for myself in the archive sale, the men's t-shirts,
I just got this oversized because it is a men's double XL gray t-shirt, just feels lovely quality.
And I think when you're going designer for t-shirts and basics like this, you really do
feel the difference when you wear really nice quality tees. You just miss them when they're
in the wash, basically. So yeah, nice little boxy gray tee that I could wear with like little cycle
shorts, leggings, just for like day-to-day running errands, that kind of thing. Love a good basic
tee. And then, oh, that's it from Knickerbocker. But also in here, I had something which I picked
up from a flea market, which we went to when we went over to Brooklyn. And I saw this guy selling
these bowls and loads of different bits that he sources and gets from Rwanda. And I saw this bowl
and I just thought that would look lovely styled up on one of our shelves somewhere. It's got a
little metal hardware detail, but otherwise it's just a very rustic, dark wood bowl that will sit
on a shelf nicely with either some potpourri in, just left empty. You could pop some moss balls in
there. You could have it with some beads hanging out, sat on top of a coffee table. For styling,
I thought they were lovely and that was $30. We headed to CVS. Tom, like I said, got a bit of a
stuffy feeling whilst we were out there. So we headed in there to the pharmacy to get some
meds. Whilst we were in there, they had all the American treats and some that I had never seen
before in England. So again, some more M&Ms. We've got the Flavor Crunchy Cookie, which sounds
amazing. Also had this one, of course, PB&J. And then Lindor do this flavor again in America. I
don't think I've ever seen these in the UK. Even in the outlets like at Cheshire Oaks, they don't
have this flavor. Birthday Cake. That I feel like maybe, let's give it a taste, it may be my favorite
Lindt flavor ever. I really love the raspberry white chocolate one, the strawberry white chocolate
one. So the fact that this is also white with little sprinkles in for Birthday Cake.
Let's give it a try. Oops. Chocolate. Why don't they do this in England?
The actual packaging is pink but with little confetti pastel colors on, which will be
lovely in my Easter treat bowl that I have downstairs. So I'll pop those straight in there
with my other Lindt's that I've already got in there. I also popped into one of those little
souvenir shops that you get in New York with, again, the caps, the hoodies, everything with
New York on it. And of course, I picked up a little Christmas tree decoration, which I just
went for this one. New York with the Empire State on. This one was $11.99, kind of pricey for what
it is, but it's got to be done when you have a fun nostalgia slash novelty tree at Christmas with
lots of random baubles on like that. I, of course, had to pick one up. Then they also have out there,
which we just stumbled across, the Starbucks Reserve, one of their huge roasteries. It's
almost like a factory with loads of selection for food and drink options. And we actually sat down
and had a really nice coffee and a couple of bites to eat in there. A couple of bites to eat in there.
But we've got this little espresso mug with the, can you see the little star and the R on there for
the Starbucks Reserve? And then also some American flavored popcorn, because we don't have butter
popcorn in the UK. So just a butter flavored Starbucks popcorn. Okay. This was a recommendation
when I asked you guys a question, what's on Instagram for your recommendations? A few of you
said to go to Magnolia Bakery and try their banana pudding, which we did and it was delicious.
But whilst we're in there, I also saw that they sell these banana pudding cookies, chocolate
chunk cookies. So I'm assuming it'll be that same kind of flavor, but obviously in a cookie
format. And then some more snacks that I grabbed. We headed to Trader Joe's. I used to love
a Trader Joe's trip when we lived there in America. I just feel like Trader Joe's
is kind of more like a farmer's market style supermarket. And some of their seasonal options
are just the best. My case in point, milk chocolate covered peanut butter pretzels.
Does that not sound amazing? Let me just try one. Let's just try one. That's what they look like.
They are delicious. Oh, I just read at the bottom.
And we're delicious. I also managed to find in there the everything but the O bagel
sesame seasoning blend with sea salt, garlic and onion. And we had so many good bagels out there
that we attempted to make our own. So this is a good little topping to pop on top of those.
Cinnamon bun inspired pancake and waffle mix. I also got these. They sell something similar to
these in Costco in England, and I do really like them. So I decided to grab these to try,
the maple leaf cookies with a smooth and maple flavored cream filling. Wow, that's a mouthful.
Popped us this Sephora and grabbed one of these Touchland hand sanitizers,
which they don't sell in England. At least I don't think they do. They have loads of different
scents. And I went for the rainwater. They're just a really good grab and go hand sanitizer
that you can throw in your bag. And yeah, I don't know why they don't sell them over here
in our Sephoras. Sephoras. I always say Sephora. Sephora. And then whilst I was there,
I also grabbed a new Summer Fridays lip balm. I have the vanilla one, which I love. And this
one's in sweet mint, which I actually think I will prefer. And there, whilst I was in there,
she said, when's your birthday? And I said, oh, it was in January. And she said, oh, well,
because it's past, we'll give you a birthday gift. And I was like, January 4th? It was months ago.
But that was very kind of her. I got to pick whatever I wanted from the birthday treat list.
And I went for this one, which was from Laneige. And you get in here a mini water bank,
which I've just bought the full size of and love. A lip sleeping mask in berry. Again,
I have the vanilla version and love that. It's just not user-friendly on the go, I don't feel.
So I tend to keep that in my bedside drawer. Also in here, a toner and moisturizer, the cream skin,
which I haven't tried that one. Okay. Abercrombie. Popped in to grab yet again,
another one of my basic from the men's wear, the essential teas. Again, I felt like I was running
out of white teas, but I didn't end up wearing this in the end anyway. So I probably didn't need
to pick it up, but I have one of these already and I do wear it quite a lot. So I thought no harm in
grabbing another one. And then I also picked up this West Village. If you go to New York,
West Village and Soho were probably our favorite areas. We were staying near Times Square,
which was very hectic, very busy, very good location in terms of being very central to do
the touristy things. So I don't regret being there, but if we were to visit again, having
done the touristy main takeoff list attractions, I probably would prefer to stay somewhere around
Soho and West Village. So yeah, I saw that and I thought, you know what, a little memento from
trip. Plus I love wearing gray and this blue, especially. I've got an Anina Bing hoodie,
very similar with that similar kind of coloring. Okay. The Mothership.
Target. I actually have two bags from Target. Firstly, a couple of fashion-y bits. And I saw
this from their, what range is this? Universal Thread. I think it's just a brand of theirs that
they sell in the fashion department. This like kind of linen-y jumpsuit, but it's a real like
dark rustic linen. I loved it. It's got a tie waist, pockets on the back and the front,
and just wide legs. So not, you know, just nice and floaty and comfortable. I thought that in
spring will be lovely with just like some little Birkenstocks. That was $35. Yeah. $35. And then
this was actually the first thing that I saw. It's got a bit creased now, having been in the bag,
but this is from their range, A New Day. Again, I love the branding that they have for like a
supermarket brand. This is a linen top and it is such a lovely like cut and fabric. It reminded
me of one that I've got from Abercrombie that I did not pay 20 bucks for. I paid quite a bit,
like probably double that. And it's a darker linen. So I thought I would pick up a white
version. And I saw that. And then again, another basic. They had a couple of sale things. This is
from the A New Day range as well. Just like a cap sleeve, basic white tee. And then this one
was reduced down to $10. This is from Goodfellow. So I think this is the menswear, but again,
that kind of very similar to the Buckmason colour, kind of concrete colour. I just really liked it.
Again, with it being men's in an extra large, I'm thinking this just like an oversized tee,
cycle shorts, dog walk in spring, summer is like basically my uniform or even tucked into some blue
jeans, that kind of thing. And then I again got loads of snack and foodie bits. So we've got these
white fudge covered cinnamon sugar mini pretzels. Had like all the air sucked out of them from
being on the flight. But from Dunkin Donuts, the Dunkin decaf and the French vanilla, which is like
what they're known for. The French vanilla rounded coffee. This, I picked up two of these because I
might love it and regret only getting one. So I thought I'm going to throw in two. The corn muffin
mix. We used to go to a restaurant when we lived in Virginia called, oh, what was it called? I think
it was just an independent. I don't think it was a chain, but they used to always give you cornbread
as like a free little starter at the before your meal. And I remember absolutely loving it. You
literally just put a load of butter on and have them warm and they were so good. So to these
mixers, you just add egg and milk and then some more snacks. Some, obviously because it was Easter,
they had quite a lot of Easter themed bits and bobs. So we had these mini white fudge dipped
sandwich cookies with sprinkles. And then these, which looked good, milk chocolate waffle cones,
you know, like the end of your waffle cone that you get in a Cornetto where it's just solid
chocolate in there. Again, just a cupboard essential for in our pantry, the Chick-fil-A
sauce. We didn't have a Chick-fil-A out there, just didn't get around to it. There's so many
other foodie bits and bobs, places to try. Dunkin' Donuts, I didn't try either. Obviously I've got
the coffee to bring back from Target, but that was another place that I wanted to go for coffee for
and just never got around to. These I actually picked up from the airport. I did look for them
in Target, but couldn't find them. And then when I saw them at the airport on route home, I grabbed
them. So they're the Lemmy gummies, which I wanted these ones, the Lemmy sleep gummies. They're meant
to be really good. Take two gummies 30 minutes before bed and it's got essentially magnesium and
melatonin in. And then also, because they were on offer too for $40, I think, the Lemmy chill
de-stress gummies with passion flower, lemon balm, and ashwagandha. And then last but not least,
my thrifting finds that I got from, it was a Salvation Army out there. Of course,
we grabbed a pumpkin. They had a few autumny things out and I was just like,
when in America, they know how to do autumn home decor the best. So I saw this cute little guy,
like a rustic burnt orange pumpkin for $1.99. I was like, you're coming home with me. So I also
spotted these and these also for coming home with me. They had a blueberry pie as well dish, but I
decided to just get the apple pie and the pumpkin pie. These were 2.99 from Nantucket, the brand.
And I Googled them and some of them are selling for quite a bit of money. So I don't know if it's
a collectible item out there. I don't know. I've never heard of the brand, but yeah, my cute little
mini pie dishes. And then this, I felt like I hit the jackpot with these. I saw these charger plates,
which are a very rustic, almost like, they look like galvanized metal with the beaded edging.
So, so pretty. And there were four, there were actually five of them, but I thought four was
a round number. They were only 1.99 each. And when I turned them around and saw with the labels
still on, they're originally Pottery Barn, they're Pottery Barn charger plates. So these probably,
I don't know, charger plates from Pottery Barn are what, $20, $30. So to get them for 1.99 each,
I just, I was like, yes. And they're kind of like a really in between silver and goldy kind of color,
like a real nice champagne. So yeah, very rustic, obviously that's the look, but I love these so,
so much. They actually looked more silver in store. Now I've got them home, they look more gold. And
that guys sums up my American haul. I'm feeling very sad that it's now over. I'm feeling like
I'm getting holiday blues with this trip because it was so much fun and so nostalgic to go back to
all the American shops that I used to love or living out there. It's honestly made me want
to book in an American trip again, maybe somewhere else. I'd quite like to go a bit more
rural, maybe like Texas and go see a ranch or something like that and go to the huge Goodwills
that they have out there, big, huge targets rather than just city center versions, Trader Joe's,
everything like that and do another American trip. So I would love that. Let me know if you would
like to see that too, but happy to be home. I got my step counting marks in New York. I'm
honestly very tired. We got back and last night we just crashed, went to bed, woke up fresh this
morning and hopefully have jumped back into the time zone pretty okay. I mean, I was awake by
about 7am. I feel like that's about right. So hopefully fingers crossed we'll stay up till
9, 10 tonight, start getting tired and we won't and we'll be back into the normal swing of things
with our routine and not too much jet lag, fingers crossed. We can only hope. But yeah,
thank you so much for watching my video today and of course the vlogs if you've followed my
New York vlogs and travel with me vlog. It's feeling very spring like, so I'm definitely
going to be bringing you another vlog for my next video I would have thought where we can have like
a nice little homely vlog, maybe go out and about shopping here in the UK. In fact, you know what,
and that inspired by the thrifting in America that maybe we could do a bit of spring thrifting.
We don't call it thrifting, do we? Charity shopping in my next video. I have got an
antiques fair that I might be going to at the weekend so I could vlog that and like I said,
put that as my next video. If you'd like to see that, let me know. Have a lovely rest of
your day and I hope to see you all very, very soon in my next video. Bye guys.
