What's up everyone and welcome to the club.
In today's video we're drawing Jerry from Tom and Jerry.
Let's begin today's lesson in the center page with the top edge of the nose.
We'll start over on the left side.
Let's draw a curve that goes up and we'll bring that down on the right side.
Now I just want to curve this back in.
Curve this in towards the middle and it'll bend the nose coming down towards the center
point.
Let's add a small oval on top of the nose for a highlight and then we'll fill the bottom
of the nose in black.
Now I want to leave a gap along the side of the nose and draw in the cheeks.
So I'm going to line up at the top of the nose over on the left side, curve the cheek
coming in and we'll bend that out towards the side.
Let's line this up over on the right side, bring this in, around, and then out.
Let's tuck the top of the nose bridge in behind the cheeks.
So start back over on the left, bend this up in the middle, and then back down.
Now I'm going to move down and draw the bottom edge of the muzzle.
Starting underneath the cheek on the left, curve this down, and just bend that up in
the middle, come down, and back up towards the right.
Now from the corners of the mouth, let's bend this in and then down, and I'll round out
the bottom and just pull that back up on the right side.
Let's add the tongue along the bottom.
Starting over on the left, curve this up, and bend that down.
Now you step up to create an overlap, go up towards the right, and back down.
Let's trace the lower part of the mouth along the outside for the lip.
We'll start on the left, bend this down, and then back up.
Now I'm going to go back up to the top and draw in the eyes, leaving a gap in the center.
Let's start over on the left side, curve the eye going around towards the top, round out
the eye, come down and in on top of the cheek.
Let's go over towards the right side and do the same thing, going up towards the same
height, come down, and then in.
Now I'm going to pull the pupils towards the inside of the eye.
Starting from the left side, draw another oval, going around, then in on top of the
nose bridge, do the same thing on the right.
Now add a small highlight circle along the top of each pupil for a highlight, and I'll
fill the bottom of the eyes in black.
Let's add a fold across the top of the brow.
Starting on the left side of the eye, curve this up, and then back down.
And then along the top of each eye, I'm going to add the lashes.
I'm going to do this out and up, go back down towards the bottom, curve this out and up
for the second lash.
Now from the top of the cheeks, let's step out and curve the head.
Go all the way around, come down, and then just tuck that in towards the side of the
lip.
Let's go over towards the right side, go all the way around, come down, and then bend that
in.
Let's add that trim across the side of the mouth, starting underneath the cheek, bend
this down, and then in towards the bottom.
Let's go back up to the top and draw on the side of the head.
Starting on top of the cheek on the left, bend this up, go around the brow, and then
in.
Now I'm going to add some hair along the top.
So I'm going to bend this up towards the middle, taper that back down.
Let's add another hair.
I'm just going to bend this out towards the right, and then back down.
Now I want to work our way across the right side, going over the brow, come down, and
on top of the cheek.
Now along the side of the head, let's draw on the ears.
We're going to start on the left side, bend the ear, going out, and then up.
Go to the right side, and do the same thing.
Now we're going to go back to the left side.
We want to round out the top of the ear, coming all the way around, and then down, and we
want to pull that back in towards the side of the cheek.
Coming all the way around, and then we'll bend that in.
Now let's add a fold along the top of the ear.
Starting on the left, bend this up, and then round up the top.
Now let's go back to the side of the muzzle and add the whiskers.
We're going to start on the left side of the nose, bend this up, and then out, and line
that up on the right side.
Let's step down, add another whisker, going out, and down.
And now we're going to move down and draw on the side of the body.
Let's start over on the left side, just underneath the head, curve the body, coming down and
out towards the hip.
Go to the right, and do the same thing.
Let's round up the hip, and then bend that back in towards the bottom.
Let's go in between the hips, step down and add a curve, going up, and then down.
And leave a small gap in the center, go to the left side, bend the leg going out and
down towards the left heel, go to the right, go out and down towards the right heel.
Let's round up the heel, come in, round up the bottom of the foot, and go up towards
the outside.
Now let's round up the toe, just going to pull this back in, and then we'll layer the
second toe in behind, starting from the side, go out, and bend that in towards the ankle.
Let's go back up to the hips, curve the leg, coming down, and bend that out towards the
top of the foot.
Now let's go back up to the top and draw on the arms.
From the top of the body, let's step down, draw a straight angle line, coming down and
out towards the wrist.
From the wrist, let's curve the thumb, coming down and in, round out the thumb, and pull
that back up.
Let's add in the first finger, bend this down and out, round up the finger, and then pull
that back in.
Now we want to tuck the middle finger in behind, so starting from the top of the finger, it's
up and in.
Let's go back to the top, draw the third finger all the way around, and bend that up towards
the wrist.
Now from the wrist, we're going to draw a straight angle line, going up towards the
head, round up the shoulders, and pull that in.
Now we're going to add the tail coming out from the left side.
Starting from the hip, bend this down, and then up around the hand, and just tinker that
back in towards the side of the hip.
Now I'm going to go back and add that patch in the center of the body.
Let's start right in the middle with a point.
From this point, go up towards the left, and then bend that down towards the side, go back
to the center, and do the same thing on the right.
Now going back to the side, we're going to round up the bottom, and pull that back up
on the right side.
And then we'll finish off by starting our art, and add a splash of color, and that's
pretty much it.
There's Jerry from Tom and Jerry.
