The String Quartets, Op. 3, are a set of six string quartets published under Joseph Haydn's name by the French music publisher Bailleux in 1777, and later reprinted by Maison Pleyel in 1801 as part of a series of complete Haydn string quartets.

Long thought to be by Haydn, the works had puzzled musicologists because they seemed out of place in the developmental sequence of Haydn's string quartets. However, the lack of surviving manuscripts made it difficult to confirm that these works were by Haydn or any other composer, compounded by the fact that Haydn had included them in his 1805 catalogue of works.
