I hope you enjoy this stop on our 3--day roadtrip in the USA where we explore the true Wild West, a blast from the past, the historic town of TOMBSTONE! We are nearing the end of our roadtrip and we wanted to explore a historic town that breathes the true Wild West from back in the day.
Welcome to Tombstone! This town is legendary and historic due to its vibrant past as a booming silver mining town in the late 19th century, earning the nickname “The Town Too Tough to Die.” This is because 2 major devastating fires in 1881 and 1882 couldn't stop this town from existing and persevering. It also became infamous for its lawlessness and notable events, particularly the legendary 1881 gunfight at the O.K. Corral between the Earp brothers, Doc Holliday, and the Clanton-McLaury gang. Today, this town stands as a preserved relic of the Wild West, with original buildings and plenty of reenactments and activities to be experiences of its storied history.
