So You Want To Catch GIANT Snook? Then Watch This!

[Music] oh yeah I'm on oh that's big that's another good one whoa what a freaking day another good fat one right good afternoon guys uh back in Stewart Florida again today uh up ahead you see Rich from fishaholic uh we went out yesterday in this boat um it was eventful for sure he caught uh quite a few fish I caught a catfish lost a couple others so that's why you won't see my video from that but today we're out in The Kayaks so we're going to give it a shot we've got a bunch of artificials we're going to try today we're going to hit some of the same spots yesterday I mean it they were loaded with big fish we should have a productive afternoon evening uh the wind's pretty stiff but the side we're going to be fishing is pretty protected so we should be okay so uh I'm going to get caught up with Rich up there and then we will get back with you when the action starts okay I believe that's the where we're heading right over there all right guys so what we're going to do we're going to drift we're going to go up here to the start starting point and we're going to drift back this way and we're going to do what's called uh snap jigging you let your lure your shrimp or Bucktail whatever you got sink to the bottom and then you're going to do quick little snaps to pop it up as you're drifting ouch all right let's try The Jig now let's try The Jig all right nope I tied on something heavier I think you're right it wasn't getting back down quick enough so I had an artificial shrimp on I didn't feel like it was sinking quick enough so I switched to the Bucktail jig oh that's big oh that's big yep woo whoa this is a beast oh my God these giant fish made me nervous all day because they kept wanting to swim up into the shallows when hooked W oh my God this is huge guys this is freaking maybe it's not oh yeah there we go looks like a good fish dude yeah it's it's a nice one big old head got watch show get there of theu sck up the bottom okay it was almost like he was trying to swim up onto the bank to get away ready oh yeah on oh no it's going to turn me yep nice dude him in the a holy moly if we get a little closer to shore we'll kind of be out of the main CM okay that's a slob on a buck tail huh yeah on a buck tail that's sick thanks all right all right look at that golly that's fat God he's fat he's not like super long but geez he's fat you 40 in let me zoom in a little bit nice got it all right I'm going to go back for another drift go for it I'll get him going and yeah you get back good he's still thanks bun appreciate it definitely my biggest snook from the kayak and there were still bigger fish to come he's gone what a fight oh my gosh holy cow that's a beast yeah oh boy here we go again I snagged a black drum that's why it felt big come on stop it stop it ow finin me what the this doesn't look like a what in the world what is this this isn't a black drum huh new species never caught one of these that's cool all right Mark another one that's kind of cool these fish were so aggressive it seemed like every drift you got at least one hit while you were floating down oh that was a good one got another what do I got what do I got oh little snook ah think I got too far ahead as you can imagine if a spot is holding this many giant fish that you're going to get hung up a lot there's going to be a lot of structure and things that these fish are holding to go mother needless to say I went through a lot of lures this day jeez backto back Hang-Ups got retied cast out and immediately hung up again you got to be kidding me make that three in a row no way oh got it OHA boy there we go that's another good one woo W whoa wow another big boy yeah oh he's taking me in circles oh yeah that's a good one I don't think he's as big as the last one it's like a sl size maybe oh I don't I hadn't got a real good look at him yet oh oh there no it is a good one wow yes nice one no another Beauty another Beauty oh how freaking awesome is this all these giant snook on artificial don't need no stinking cokers see if he'll let me pick him up let's be close to a slot fish but yeah that's a beauty that's a nice one all right see if he's ready oh yep he ready man the ego net is a Lifesaver being able to extend that if I need to oh that's so helpful see what he did to my leader oh yeah oh yeah all mine come on the little Buck tail with just started peeling drag yeah good you can see all we're doing is just using this little Bucktail with the plastic body let it sink and then bam sink bam all right we'll try the little nlbn a it's a hit for sure whoa that's a good one holy cow he just peeled off a ton of drag it's coming right at you oh there he is there he is okay I know you're not ready you're not ready ah yeah a lot of weeds coming through oh oh that's bigger than the LA the first one yeah nice that one I can hold them up and pull one off whoa what I know what's up with that again another massive fish almost swimming up onto the bank when it's hooked yeah I feel better if he comes out oh gosh there we go whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa what are you doing oh boy oh wow all right maybe I do want to pick I'll come up there you keep fishing till I get over I'm D okay holy cow another tank look at the girth on that tail oh my God yeah he's about to break my net ah kayak spinning on me you have a measur no I should have brought one but I I didn't all right oh man that one looks to be like at least like 39 maybe even 40 ah all right I'm G to let him go all right thanks man all right he was clear he didn't want any more pics swimming off yes uh rich is hooked up oh I just saw a big splash oh yeah what is this this is acting weird oh where is he what is he doing whoa oh dang it I was Dumb and I I was going to flip him cuz he wasn't that big dang it that was my fault there we go all right that's what happens at the end of fishing trips you've got a hodg podge of leftover lures and stuff and here yeah all right guys we got the 38 ounce jig head with the paddletail rich gamey we'll give that a shot now it it it may seem monotonous guys we're running up and drifting back the same spot but when you've got this many monster fish located in one area you don't leave I mean if you're catching 35 to 40 in snook consistently why would you why would you move this is freaking awesome all right guys we're getting close to the end of the evening need to make it happen oh yeah I'm on oh this is a grouper I think this is a grouper unless I'm hung up I couldn't tell if I had a grouper rocked up or if I was just hung up no how did that happen no way so I finally decided I was hung up and I was just going to pull my line loose no and then when I finally thought that I'd broken the line I felt a fish on the end of it H it was a grouper that's weird he must have got me wrapped into something or gone into a hole huh that's cool little I think that's a black grouper cool little fish but man thought it was going to be a lot bigger than that the way it all right let's let him go all right thought it was going to be a big grouper that was weird oh yeah oh yeah there we go whoa oh yeah oh this guy's Ripp been drag oh my gosh look at him where's he going all right what a freaking day oh he almost pulled the rod out of my hands loosen that drag a little okay all right all right I got him by the Gill plate another yep another good fat one what all right that's oh ouch another good one all right let's get him out Shimano setup with the curado and the teramar has been freaking money is handled those fish so good let me check my leader yep I got to retie real quick all right guys that was freaking awesome I don't know uh what I would have done without Rich's help here he he saved this trip I struggled the whole trip every day it was just a struggle and today I ended up catching more big snook than probably my last two trips down here so in one afternoon I equaled two probably two weeks worth of uh big snook fishing so what you get uh three big ones or four big ones uh four big ones and then a couple that were maybe 30 20 28 to 30 yeah that's a stellar evening but it wasn't easy you had to get a workout you had to earn it right oh yeah my leg my legs are going to be sore tomorrow so guys I'm sure if you watch YouTube and you're watching my channel you probably already watched
