Since time immemorial villages in India have portrayed a complete, purposeful lifestyle, that’s in tune with divine nature. Being inspired by villages and based on the foundational principle of spirituality, Mr. Sandeep Chalakannavar constructed his home in an Rural area, blending the modern with traditional.
I made an attempt to document the different stages of construction of my mud house.
My dream has finally came true when I started living in the house. I wanted to construct this traditional, vernacular architecture of konkan culture .I spent my childhood days in a such a house where my grandparents lived. I always wanted relive those days.
My journey started with purchasing a piece of agricultural land, 100 Km s away from Belgaum, karnataka where I started growing natural vegetables farming. I was inspired by Mr Rahul Deshpande eco house I started growing ,vegetables and fruits for our consumption.
Later, I wanted to construct a house to live in the farm and then thought why not construct a mud house .With lot of searching i took some ideas from mango resort palghad and made own plan to give shape to my dream farmhouse.
I was prepared and determined to face all odds and complete this project. I employed local work force, excellent skilled, and sincere and humble people. My special thanks to my team, Mr lakhan , Javed, mahiboob, Mahiboob jamadar , Bunty Sutar, Ganesh Sutar and many others.
This video gives a glimpse of different stages of the construction and the effort that goes into
