I've officially caught spring fever! Last week I started spring decorating and I love adding a little spring into my home. Join me today as I continue to add little pops of spring in my home.
Decorating for spring can be as simple as changing out your seasonal stems or even shopping your home and using something you haven't used in awhile or moving something to a different space to give that space a fresh new spring look. I love doing that and working with what I have, don't you?

Hey friends, it is Jen with Mother Time.
Welcome back to my channel.
Today I'm going to take you along as I continue to sprinkle in a little bit more spring into
my home.
Have you started decorating for spring yet?
I've officially got spring fever, have you?
And I've gone to Home Goods TJ Maxx and Marshalls and they have such cute spring decor out.
So I'm trying to be very selective of what I got, but I did get a few new things.
I'm going to show you what I got.
We're going to do a little decorating.
It's going to be lots of fun.
So grab yourself a cup of coffee or hot tea, sit back, relax, and let's get to decorating.
Here are a few things that I recently picked up.
Look at these super cute bunny plates.
I love the green.
I got these at Marshalls for $4.99.
These are so cute.
They only had two there, so I picked up the two and I think I'm going to put these on
plate stands and put them on my clock.
I'm going to take out my false craft pitchers and put the plates there for a little pop
of spring.
I love to do this with seasonal plates.
I love decorating with seasonal plates because they're just too cute.
I also picked up these cabbage style bowls.
Look at these.
If you look at cabbage style like dinnerware and serving pieces, these were at Home Goods
for $14.99.
I couldn't resist these.
I just thought these were so springy too.
They did have some other pieces to go along with that, but I just got the little bowls
because I thought those were so cute.
And wait until you see these adorable Peter Rabbit mugs with a little Peter Rabbit coming
out.
I love Peter Rabbit for spring.
I love a little pop of whimsy, don't you?
These were $6.99 at Marshall's.
I was going to give one as a gift to add some little candies in there, like Easter candies,
and then put it in a little bag with some paper shred.
But I think I'm going to keep both of these myself because they are just so cute.
So these are a few things that I got that I'm going to start with decorating here in
my dining room.
Recently, I showed you this big gold bunny that I picked up at Ross for $19.99.
And again, thanks to my friend Liz from Traditions by the Seasons for sharing this over on her
channel because as soon as I saw her share it, I had to get one too, and they had one
left.
I think it is so cute, and I thought I would put it next to the clock, next to that basket
that I showed you that I got from Hobby Lobby that I love.
But I'm going to change out the ribbon.
It's got a really pretty ribbon on it, but I'm going to change it to this gingham ribbon.
I love this ribbon so much, so I'm just simply going to take this off and add this ribbon
instead.
I love this ribbon, don't you?
And another thing I learned from Liz is the way she crinkles her wired ribbon by going
like this.
It gives it more of a designer look just by going like that.
It just gives it that little ripple, that little ruffle, and I love a good ruffle.
So I'm going to do that too, and then cut it.
I don't know if I want to trim it a little bit, let's see.
And I also don't know if I want to ducktail it or just angle it.
I think I'm going to angle it, see how that looks, and we'll angle it this way going up.
Look how cute.
While I love seeing those adorable mugs on the basket tray, I decided to move them into
the hutch and then add the cabbage bowls on my basket tray.
I did this for Christmas too.
I had some Santa mugs in my hutch, and I love that seasonal pop of decor in my hutch.
I love these large speckled eggs that I picked up at Walmart for just $1.98.
I love the ribbon that comes on them too, so I'm going to put three of them in this
basket in my entry.
I mentioned recently I wanted to get new lamps for the bedroom, so I picked these up at Hobby
Lobby.
I got two of these for the nightstands, and these just flow so much better in here than
the other lamps I had.
And then I got these lamps for the dresser.
And previously I just had one on the dresser and then one on the fireplace, but right now
I have two on the dresser, and I love these.
Don't you?
I still have the tags on them.
These were $37.49 each.
It's got this really pretty, almost like artichoke or tulip or flower look to it.
So I don't have anything on the fireplace right now, and I kind of like to have a lamp
over here too just to have a little bit of lighting on this side of the room, but I'll
find something for there.
Because when I put just one over here, it kind of looked a little off, so I brought
both of them over here on the dresser, and they're so pretty.
So I just wanted to give you a quick look at the new lamps for the bedroom.
And while I'm up here, I want to show you the accent rugs that I found at TJ Maxx for
$24.99.
It's a set of two.
And look at this beautiful design on them.
Aren't they pretty?
I just love these.
And they are washable too.
So even better.
Such a pretty design.
And look at how well they coordinate with these pillow covers too.
I love these pillow covers.
I'll link them in the video description.
But these are just so pretty, so I think I'm going to use these in our bathroom.
I'm going to add a few more little touches of spring to my kitchen, and I found this
really cute bunny.
He was $12.99.
It said, Home Goods or TJ Maxx?
One of them.
Isn't he cute?
And I thought he would look cute right here next to my sink for a little pop of spring
here when I'm doing dishes.
But then I also wanted to show you, I showed you a few weeks ago this planter.
And I was giving you a peek of a few of the finds that I picked up for spring.
Some new finds.
And I love the scalloped edge.
And it's great for utensils, for obviously pots and plants and things like that.
But I love picking these up for candles.
Specifically, if you like bath and bodywork candles, they fit bath and bodywork candles
perfectly.
Also the small Walmart candles, like this size, they fit in there perfectly too.
So it makes a great candle holder.
Oh, and by the way, this is less than $5 too.
So pretty.
And it just hides the candle too.
So if you like finding like these candle holders.
I love using and finding Crocs and planters for candles.
So this one is a bath and bodywork one too.
Almond croissant.
It smells so good, but I'm going to show you a way to kind of elevate it a little bit.
So I also have this really pretty riser stand I found at HomeGoods for $9.99.
This looks like something you would see at a boutique shop.
So I'm going to use that.
And then I have a candle ring.
Look at how pretty this one is.
This is from a local shop if you're in the local Buffalo area, the Harvest Lantern.
It's in Hamburg.
I got the last one, but that's where I got it.
You could use any kind of greenery candle ring that you can find at the craft store,
at Hobby Lobby, any of those, but this one is so pretty.
I couldn't resist using it.
I tried to find a similar one online and I couldn't, so if I happen to find it, I will
eventually link it.
But this one is so pretty and I wanted to actually get another one, but this was the
last one.
So I'm using that.
And then look at how perfectly that fits in.
And I believe this is a 6 inch diameter.
So I'm going to use that in here and then I'm just going to add my candle.
So that goes right in here.
And let me just light my candle.
And this makes such a pretty centerpiece or to put on your island and just a little touch
of spring.
I also wanted to show you this matching tray.
I love the beading on it.
This was also at HomeGoods for $12.99.
So a little change of plans here.
I'm going to remove the crock, keep the cute bunny, but then I'm going to use that tray
over here.
Hopefully it won't get too splashed up.
If it does, I can always move it, but I'll kind of keep it back here.
I'm going to add the bunny on that.
How cute.
I'm just going to turn it like that.
Then I found these bowls, little bowls on clearance at Hobby Lobby a while ago for $1.64.
I have the matching mugs of those too.
I just love this set, this collection, and I'm actually going to use it for my little
sponges.
But I can't find my little sponge.
I don't know if Wayne moved it, so I'll put it in there eventually, but it's a great little
way to hold the little sponge with the knob and then just add my soap, which should fit
there.
Oh, how cute.
So this is how I did this tray so I can still have my little soap holder and then of course
some soap and the cute little bunny.
Next I'm going to add a little pop of spring in our upstairs hallway.
It's nothing fancy and honestly I wanted to show this to you now.
I've shared it before because we are going to be adding some board and batten this year
upstairs just to give it a little pop, but I wanted to show you kind of how I have it
right now.
So I always love having a wreath on.
That's actually my son's door.
I love having it at the end of the hallway.
I always have these baskets there too.
And then here are some of the decor that I'm going to be using throughout.
I found these dried florals.
I love dried florals and I love having these baskets here too, honestly, because they are
fun to change out seasonally with seasonal stems.
So for spring and even I'm thinking through summer, I'll keep these.
It's such a beautiful dried floral arrangement too, but it is definitely messy until you
get it in the basket.
So I will link this beautiful dried floral in the video description, but it's just that
little pop here in this hallway, but I can't wait to show you how we transform this coming
up when we add the board and batten.
It'll just kind of add some dimension.
And then over here on the table, I have these lamps, but we have no outlets in this hallway.
So I love these battery operated light bulbs.
Aren't they great?
Because I love having the lamps.
I love that cozy glow and it's just even nice at night not to have the overhead lights
on.
They even come with a remote.
This is a duck decoy that I recently found thrifting.
So I'm going to add them here to the table.
And then I just grabbed a bunch of things in the basement to just kind of deck out these
shelves that are on this table.
And the one thing I always think about spring decorating too, it's not necessarily adding
all the bunnies and all the spring things, but just changing something out, giving it
a fresh, spring, new look is always a fun way to go.
So I just grabbed a bunch of stuff in my basement that I haven't decorated with, but that I
love and just to switch it out.
A lot of this stuff is thrifted that you may recognize.
Those pitchers are all thrifted.
A lot of these crocks are thrifted.
And then I moved the duck decoy down onto the shelving too.
And just changing it out here, I had a basket on top with some of those beautiful Hobby
Lobby flowers I love.
The big antique market pitcher is actually one of the originals from my digital print
shop.
I love this one so much.
And I was actually going to leave it here, but then I decided to switch it out because
I love the little pop of yellow in the dried florals.
And this cowpastor print you may know is one of my favorite vintage prints.
It's been in my entryway.
I love it.
And then I thought, you know what, why don't I switch out my antique market?
So again, I'm just doing those little changes for spring, just changing something different
out, just adding some new decor, moving something from one room to another.
You don't have to go to the stores.
Always give something a fresh new look for the season.
So I love doing this with my digital prints because just like that, boom, I have a fresh
new look in my entryway by just changing out the print.
It's such an easy and affordable way to deck your walls for any season.
And again, this print is also in my digital print shop.
So I'll link that below for you too.
One thing I know a lot of you guys will be happy about because I do get comments about
my outlet switch plates.
I ended up finally changing those out too.
We've been slowly trying to go around and changing some of the darker ones that we've
had and just changing those switch plates to the white ones.
What a change in that hallway.
And then I had this super cute chair that I actually found at Arcade Junction.
And I love using little chairs to decorate with.
It's almost like using a stand or a riser.
So I tucked that here and then I added some lanterns, but then I'm like, it needs something
else.
So I put this basket on the chair, which looks great too, but then I'm going to take it up
even one more and add the lantern in the basket and the florals.
So just trying to make the best out of what I am working with in this space.
If you have a similar hallway, let me know how you like to decorate it.
But I'm excited to do the board and batten in here.
I think it's really going to kind of cozy up this hallway space.
It's just pretty simple.
You know, it's a pretty simple hallway.
This house was built in 1981.
But I think just by adding the board and batten here will definitely, you know, do wonders
to this hallway and give it some, a new life.
But until then, I'm working with what we have.
And so hopefully if you have a similar hallway, this will give you some decorating inspo.
This is a last minute addition into this video.
I've been talking a lot about these funny boxwood topiaries over on Instagram in my
stories.
If you follow me there, because I want to get these for my outdoor front porch.
Fortunately, it's still not weather ready for outdoor decorating, but I wanted to give
you a little peek of these as well.
So once I do get outside, you can get your hands on these too, if you like them.
So this one is from Hobby Lobby.
It comes in this black pod along with the burlap bow.
And it is $99.99 and then 40% off the spring and Easter.
So it runs about $60.
So this is how this little guy looks.
And then the very popular viral Walmart one is by My Texas House.
It comes in a base along with the stick and it is only $35.
So there is a comparison of them both side by side.
I'm going to be using the Walmart ones because they're so cute.
I was going to be changing out the bow on the Hobby Lobby one anyways and doing, I think
a gingham bow and $60 versus $35.
It's almost like a two for one.
I did get two of them.
I just am showing you one of each so you can see a side by side comparison.
Height wise they're about the same, but this one is in a pot versus this one that has the
stick in the base.
So I will link this in the video description.
This one has been very, very popular.
It's hard to find, but hopefully you can find it if you like it too.
And hopefully in the next couple of weeks, we'll be able to do a little spring decorating
outdoors.
Okay, friends, that is all for today's video.
