State Rep. Mike Coffey Talks About His Illegal Immigration Bill- HB3241

Republican lawmakers have filed legislation to amend or completely end sanctuary city policies in Illinois. The influx of migrants has cost Illinois billions and towns across the state are running dry on taxpayer funds to help provide shelter, food, housing, and free healthcare.

State Representative Mike Coffey (R-Springfield) filed House Bill 3241 to allow Illinois counties the opportunity to opt out of complying with the provisions within the TRUST Act by adopting resolutions. Coffey believes each county should be able to pass resolutions that are in the best interests of the communities and public safety.
