Remember the leading score from Alisa Efimova and Misha Antrofano, 67-59.
That's the target for these two skaters.
Skaters, your warm-up has ended. Please clear the ice.
Representing United States of America, ELECOM, Danny O'Shea.
So to get us underway in the final group here in the Pairs Short Program
at the Four Continents Championships.
It's the team who finished in third place in the Nationals this year.
Gotta put that behind them.
ELECOM and Danny O'Shea, bronze medalists last year.
Clean on the twist.
Oh, beautiful! Side-by-side triple salves.
Oh, what a shame! Couldn't stop the rotation on the triple loop.
Well, that really was a great effort.
These two perhaps with something to prove here.
ELECOM, Danny O'Shea.
Representing United States of America, ELECOM, Danny O'Shea.
The important thing was they made the rotation.
Gonna get the base value. Obviously, the GOE has to go down.
They really did fight their way through the program.
Looking down, it's just the throw triple loop that gets a negative grade of execution.
The twist was brilliant at the beginning, though.
Here it is.
Very quickly gets the arms down.
Here's the Salcos.
Right down in front of me, and he looked to be oscillating a little bit on that.
You could see he just didn't quite maintain control at the end of the loop.
The rotation was there, timing on the side-by-side spin really, really good.
Ticking all the boxes, as you'd expect from a team of this caliber.
So level 4s are rushing through the program.
Step sequence level 4 as well.
So that's where they're getting the score up.
Getting those levels up, ticking all the boxes all the way through.
Even with that one mistake, it's still gonna be a pretty good score for these two.
The scores, please.
So the season's best, 73.16.
Not quite gonna get that.
Needed the throw to be perfect to get a season's best score, I think.
But 70.32 will put them into the lead.
So they've thrown down the gauntlet to the teams in this final group.
It's an America 1-2 with three to go.
