Match day two in Group E gets underway with East Asian powerhouse Korea Republic taking
on high-flying and high-scoring Jordan in a battle for top spot in the table after both
teams made quick work of their opponents on the opening day of Asian Cup action.
Haseen Amutha makes just one change to his starting XI, with Ayed replacing Al-Rawad
Deh in central midfield, but all eyes will be on Mahmoud Al-Mahdi and Moussa Al-Tamari,
who votes for the brace last time out.
Korea Republic's shot-stopper, Kim Sung-kyu, sadly tore his ACL in the build-up to today's
game and has travelled home to undergo surgery.
Jo Hyun-woo takes his place in between the sticks.
Hwang In-byeom here, but into the path of Song Hyun-min, he's brought down by Ehsan Hadad.
There's no contact on the ball, it's all the player.
VAR has had a look at this and it will be a penalty.
The Tigers with an early chance to take the lead, Song Hyun-min, the talisman, the captain
and the goalscorer as well.
Beautifully taken penalty, Korea Republic 1-0 up with just under ten minutes gone.
Just past the 20-minute mark here, Ehsan Hadad with the throw-in to Al-Tamari.
A notatious effort there from just inside the box.
Jo Hyun-woo into action, good stop from the keeper.
7th minute corner for Jordan here, whipped in beautifully and they have their equaliser.
Enticing delivery into the danger area, Park Hyun-woo forced to deal with it with Yasan
Awad up, breathing down his neck, all square.
Deep into stoppage time of the first here, Jordan looking for a second.
It's a shot from distance and it finds the bottom corner.
Yasan Almaymat with his 12th international goal and what a goal as well.
Skims it off the surface and past the keeper.
2-1, now the score.
And what a turnaround from Jordan.
We have a reply here just before the break.
Former Korea Republic has been plenty of time added on here.
Decent shot, better save and then a golden opportunity.
Cho Gui-sung putting it into the ground and over the crossbar.
Jordan with a 2-1 lead at the break.
A little over 20 minutes still to go here.
Been too many shots on goal, how about this though?
Great save by Abu Laila.
Lee Kang-in.
Equalizer, Lee Kang-in again from distance.
But again, Abu Laila with a save, difficult one as well.
Came skimming off the surface, does really well to parry it away.
Stoppage time now.
Equalizer for Korea Republic.
They're trying and they've found it.
It's a little fortunate.
Kwang In-beom with the shot at goal.
But Yassin Al-Arab with the final touch to lift it over his own keeper.
Ninth minute of stoppage time here.
Can Korea Republic snatch all three points here?
They've got a chance to do it.
But it's into the side netting.
Oh, Ma Hong-hyun, Se-ok.
And that really could have been the winner.
Late drama and a late equalizer means Korea Republic and Jordan
share the spoils on match day two in Doha.
Both sides remain in the driving seats in Group E with four points each,
which could already be enough to go through to the knockout stages.
But with top spots still up for grabs,
there could yet be a few twists and turns on the final day of group stage action.
