Scarlett Johansson Reveals What's In Her Bag | InStyle

Orange Tic Tacs. You can't have like just one. You have to have two and like whether you like suck on them or you kind of crunch them. I don't know if they're really helping your breath at all but they're definitely good for your, for your belly. Hi everybody, it's Scarlett. I'm here with InStyle and I'm going to guide you through what is in my bag. This is my cute bag. Let's see what's inside it. I can't promise it's going to be anything that interesting. See, a pack of Kleenex. You know what? I have two kids and even without the two kids, I've always carried Kleenex in my bag. You just never know. People need to borrow it. Yeah, I guess Kleenex, they have a monopoly on it because you're like, can I have a Kleenex? Let's see what's in here. Okay, this is a great shade of Charlotte Tilbury Berry Victoria. I love this color. It's a kind of a taupey berry color and I like the lip liner too. Shout out to Victoria. I did watch the David Beckham documentary recently and I actually have a new appreciation for Victoria Beckham. We're very working, working class. Be honest. When the Spice Girls were popular, I was listening to like Depeche Mode but I do appreciate a Spice Girls moment because they were very much in the zeitgeist and if I'm ever at a party and the Spice Girls are playing, you know, I can also do Tell Me What You If I was a Spice Girl, I would probably be, I don't know. I don't know that any of them totally match my personality. I think I'd make up my own Spice Girl. I'd be like maybe Street Spice. I think that'd be my name, Street Spice because, you know, you can find me on the street. Okay, this is a classic lip liner pencil. It is the MAC Spice Pencil. I remember my mom having like five of these in her makeup bag at all time and then of course you always put the taupe in the middle. I think that look is back but instead of using the taupe, I actually now do. So this is the Outset Lip Oasis. I'm obsessed, obsessed, obsessed with this product. We just came out with it like a couple of months ago. It has this fun applicator and it's really glossy and the slick is so good. It's not tacky like lip glosses. So what I do is I put the MAC Spice Pencil all around and then I put the Outset Lip Oasis and swish it all around and it's so good. Who are my 90s beauty icons? When I was growing up, like the girls that I looked up to were like, they were my peers. So it was, you know, Christina Ricci, Winona Ryder. I love all the girls from Twin Peaks. I really looked up to my sister. She always was so good at doing her makeup and I actually did her makeup for her wedding and she did my hair for my wedding and she's always been a beauty inspiration for me. She's, she's beautiful inside and out and she also has the MAC Spice Liner. Okay, oh, orange Tic Tacs. These are delicious. I love them. I like all Tic Tacs but I particularly like the orange ones because they're sort of like a little treat, you know, you can't have like just one. I gave one of these to my three-year-old son the other day who had never had them before and he was in the back of the car and he went, these are good. Can I have another one? They're so delicious. I don't know if they're really helping your breath at all but they're definitely good for your, for your belly. Oh, what the heck is that? Okay, I have a coat check card in here. It's a claim check. Not sure what I was supposed to be claiming but I guess I forgot it. This is in every bag that I own. It's the Outsets Botanical Rescue Balm. I use this on my cuticles. I use it on my lips. I use it on my flyaways. I use it on my heels. I give it to everybody around me that needs a balm. I put it on my kid's cheeks. I get asked if I have any balm for my daughter who's 10 and then I give her this and once it's open, like everybody digs their fingers in it so it's sort of become like a petri dish in my bag. My top on the go beauty tricks, probably carrying some sort of like multi-purpose, like I always carry the Outset Rescue Balm but like some sort of multi-purpose product in your bag because you can use it for like a highlighter. You can use it on your lips. You know, you can use it on your brow bone. So I try to carry a multi-purpose balm with me everywhere and our Rescue Balm is awesome for that. And what are my other tips? I actually use like those eye patches that people put on during the day. I use them at night because I feel like I benefit more in the morning when my skin under my eyes has been moisturized than if I don't use them. I feel like it gives me a better shot at looking bright-eyed and bushy-tailed in the morning. I have a hair tie. Now, I can't tell you how many hair ties I buy. I mean, every time I'm at the drugstore, I'll buy hair ties, like a whole thing of them. There's like a stack this much and then I go into my drawer to get them. Where do they go? It's like the sock monster but it's a hair tie monster and I know you know what I'm talking about. I tie my hair back all the time. I hate the feeling of having hair on my face. Like you're seeing it now. It's really beautiful. Somebody helped me style it but I would never wear my hair like this in real life because I cannot stand the feeling of hair on my face and neck. As soon as I finish this shoot, I am going to put my hair in a ponytail and everybody else is going, why are you putting your hair up in a ponytail? You look so cute. You should wear it out. Are you going out to dinner tonight? And the answer is, I probably am but I'm going to put my hair in a ponytail, wash all of my makeup off and then that's how, like I'll go home and then just do minimal everything. I just, I hate the feeling of stuff on me, which is kind of an unfortunate thing because my job, I wear a lot of makeup and hair. Maybe it's a reaction to that, you know? Okay, this is a very, very cute Taupe Prada Fav. They just came out with their makeup a couple of years ago, like relaunched it. I remember when it first came out and it was so chic. It came in all these cute little packages. So when they relaunched it, I was pretty excited and yeah, this is like another kind of caramelly color. I like these colors, like these kind of warm, caramelly Taupe colors. I feel like for every day and it's, I like the whole like kind of 90s makeup that's coming back. I think it's very sexy and universally attractive. It kind of reminds me of like an old 1930s packaging. You know, they really put like so much thought into the design of all of their products and I love Prada. I have to say, I love Prada. I feel like if my entire closet was all Prada, I would never have to think about what to wear. Oh, I also have a touchy clay pen. This is the YSL like concealer corrector. It always works. My mom had this pen. It was probably the first concealer that I ever bought because she recommended it and I still use it today. It's such a perfect like on-the-go thing to have. This is a no-brainer. It's always sad if you travel with this pen and then like it gets too many clicks and then all the liquid comes out and then you're like, darn it. I guess I'll have to just put more on my face. I'm sure that's not what you're supposed to do, but I always do that. I'm like, it all came out. I'll just like make it a foundation and then I have, you know, kind of a crazy looking highlighted face. But the biggest beauty lesson I think my mom, well a couple of things. My mom always told me to wash my face before I went to bed, no matter how late it was, no matter how many martinis you've had, wash your face before you go to bed. And I still to this day do it. It can be simple. I use all of the outset products, but I wash my face with our cleanser, put a night cream on and like even if it's three in the morning and my bed is calling to me, I always wash my face and remove my eye makeup. And the other thing my mom always taught me was, I don't even know if this is still relevant, but she was like, you always have to put bottom mascara on to open up your eye. And it's actually true. If I don't put mascara on the bottom, I feel like my face doesn't look complete. Thanks mom. And she always, my mom always wore red lipstick if it was the day or the night. Maybe in some other version of my life, I would wear red lipstick during the day. Maybe if I wasn't trying to blend in more. I could be going from my daytime to a dinner and if I have a red lipstick in my bag, I throw it on because it just, it feels like you immediately, you're like, oh, looks like I made an effort.
