They call me lessee, if you need somebody, I will never let you down.
I will find the key, you can trust in me, I'm a friend to everyone.
And I go, go under the rainbow, I will hear you call, you call.
And I go, go, never take it slow, I will help you all, you all.
Oh no! I'm going to be late to meet Judith! Lessee, why didn't you wake me? Hurry, girl, hurry!
Well, good morning to you too, young lady.
Sorry, mom!
I'm supposed to meet Judith at the hotel and I'm way late! Are you still having lunch with her parents later?
Yep! I'm so glad they finally got a chance to come up and visit with us.
We haven't been able to catch up with them since they moved. Have fun and say hi to Judith for me!
Will do! Bye, mom!
Oh, that's right! Judith's present! I nearly forgot. Thanks, Lessee!
Me not to be late?
I know, I know! But I was so excited about seeing Judith that I couldn't get to sleep last night.
Come on, I can't wait for you to meet her!
Judith was so wild and funny. She was always up for anything. Compared to her, I was the timid and cautious one.
Really? That's kind of a scary thought. When was the last time you saw her?
I haven't seen her for quite a while, but I'll bet Judith is still the same old Judith.
That must be her!
Zoe? Good to see you again!
Sorry to keep you waiting. My parents kept insisting that I bring with me a helmet.
Why do they worry so much?
Well, as I remember, you did have a talent for getting us into trouble.
Yes, but I had an equally impressive talent for getting us out of trouble, too.
That's true. She always had a knack for both. Judith, I'd like you to meet Harvey.
Delighted!
And this is Lucky!
Hello, you! What a beautiful dog you are!
Thank you!
You haven't changed a bit, Zoe. Well, a few inches taller, maybe.
You too, Judith. You're exactly the same as the last time we... or I mean, not exactly the same, obviously.
Not that you're different. When I last saw you, I guess I wasn't as...
No need to dance around the obvious, Zoe. You can just say it. I'm in a wheelchair now.
I'm sorry, Judith. It's just... I didn't know.
Of course you didn't. It's okay, Zoe. Now who's ready to have some fun?
Come on! Hot chocolate's on me!
It was a car accident, three years ago.
I'm sorry, Zoe. I really should have told you. I wanted to tell you.
Why didn't you?
It's just... I haven't seen you since before the accident. I honestly didn't know how you'd react.
Some people have trouble dealing with it. They look at me, but I can tell that all they see is the wheelchair.
I'm just happy to see my friend again, that's all.
The present! Don't forget the present!
Oh, right! Here, I got you a little something.
A boomerang! Really? For me? Zoe, you shouldn't have! How cool is that? Does it really work?
Of course it works! When thrown properly, a boomerang will return to the same spot that it was originally thrown from.
May I? Thanks to the aerodynamics of the wheelchair...
Harvey can make the coolest thing sound boring in ten seconds flat.
Thanks for the lecture, Professor!
Well, thanks, Zoe! I love it! What do you say we go outside and give it a whirl?
Now you're talking!
I thought we could spend the day exploring the park! Maybe visit some of our favorite old spots? Sound good?
That sounds better than good! It sounds great!
I've been testing my new all-terrain wheelchair, and I think it can handle just about anything!
There's no trail too tough!
Cool! Where should we go first?
We can stop by the ranger station and check the truck conditions.
You don't know how much I've been looking forward to this! It's gonna be awesome!
Yes!
Bye, Mom! Bye, Dad!
Bye, darling! Have fun!
Bye, darling!
Everyone relax! We're going to share this apple by dividing it equally between us!
Stand back while I slice it!
Oh!
Hmm. Great! Now what do we do?
Lee, I thought you were going to slice it, not launch it into the air!
Guys, this is no big deal! Can't Peek-a-Fly!
I was wondering how long it would take for somebody to remember!
Can't get to it! It's stuck!
But we can't just leave it up there! There has to be some way to get it down!
Hold on, guys! Follow me!
You should try following the old railway loop!
The trail's been resurfaced to be wheelchair accessible and will take you around the whole valley!
That sounds perfect!
Thanks, Dad!
Bye, Mr. Parker!
Have fun out there and stay safe!
You'll look after them.
Same as always. Right, Lassie?
Hey, Lassie, if you need somebody, I will never let you down!
Yeah! Exactly how Judith and I met!
Look, Zoe! It's the squirrel tree! Don't you remember?
How could I forget? Judith and I would always climb that tree and try to communicate with the squirrels!
Judith was actually getting pretty good at it, too!
Way down to the old peat bog?
Think so! It's been a while since I've been down there!
Oh, we have to go!
Zoe, you and I used to take this trail down to the bog all the time!
My dad seemed to think we'd be better off sticking to the main railroad trail. It'll be...
Easier? For somebody like me?
No, it has nothing to do with you. I just meant that the trail wasn't designed for wheelchairs.
I'm not sure it was designed for me, either. I don't do so well on steep inclines like that.
Harvey's right. It's probably better for all of us if we just stick on the main trail.
Okay, that makes sense.
I mean, if you both feel strongly that it would be better to go that way, then sure, by all means, lead the way!
But I'm definitely choosing the road less traveled and going this way!
Judith, stop!
Judith, no! Stop! Judith!
We'll never catch up with her, Zoe!
Come on, Lassie! Try to catch me!
Are you okay?
And thanks to Lassie! She was just incredible!
Well done, Lassie!
Sorry, guys. Didn't mean to scare you like that. That main path seemed a little too easy.
But I saw this trail, and I guess I just couldn't resist!
It's okay, but we'd better get back up to the main hiking path.
There's no way we're gonna make it back up there. At least not the way we came down.
That slope is way too steep for your wheelchair.
Especially with a broken engine.
Let me take a look. Maybe if I plug this in here...
How's that?
The trouble is your battery's really low.
Don't worry. I can always use the old-fashioned method.
There must be another path that will take us around and back up there.
So let's find it! Come on!
If we want to get to the apple, all we need is this machine.
But this is a human machine. We have no idea how to use it.
When have we ever let a little thing like that stand in our way?
We just need to borrow it long enough to get the apple.
Cool. Let's take that one. I'll drive!
Better let me drive!
Why?
Houdini! Do you have any idea what you're doing?
Sure I do.
I'm hitting as many of these blinky-button things as I can punch.
Hey, did you get the hang of it?
It's off the mark!
Judith, are you sure you don't want help?
Yes, I'm fine. Thanks.
Watch out for the edge, Judith. I think I've got it under control, Mom.
Look out!
Push, Zoe! Push!
Stop!
Hurry!
I'm coming!
To the list! Right, girls?
Thanks, Lassie. That's another one we owe.
Thank you, Lassie. You're amazing!
It looks like we're going ahead, because turning back is no longer an option.
Well, that makes the decision a little easier.
Yeah, sounds like we don't have a choice, do we, Lassie?
I can't get my wheelchair up here. The path is getting too narrow.
Yeah, it does seem like the higher we go, the narrower and shallower the stream becomes.
There must be some way.
We can use planks from the old shack to build a bridge.
That might work.
Come on, let's give it a go!
It looks sturdy.
Okay, go ahead, Judith.
Okay!
We're still a long way from home.
Yeah, where are we exactly?
I have no idea. What about you, Zoe?
Me neither. Let's follow Lassie.
Look familiar?
Sure does. Looks like we're going to the peat bog after all.
Stop!
See? What did I tell you? Nothing to it.
But how do we get this thing inside the barn?
Very, very carefully.
Just like old times.
Sound, we should be okay.
Judith, it's too risky. If Mom might charge us to protect her young, we better wait for them to leave.
I won't make a sound, I promise.
Judith, listen!
Judith, wait!
Judith, we have to help her!
Lassie!
Take me to Zoe and Harvey. I have to check and make sure they're both okay.
Great fall, Harvey. Thanks.
My pleasure.
That was a close one, huh?
That was another close one, you mean. But relax, we're safe now.
Harvey, I'm ashamed to say so, but I actually might need your help to get out of here.
Funny. I was about to say the same thing to you.
Zoe, is this what I think it is?
This is quicksand, Harvey.
And we're sinking!
Whatever you do, don't move, Zoe.
Moving seems like a good idea right now.
Judith!
Hang on, guys. I'm gonna get you out of there.
Judith, there's nothing you can do.
Wait, you're wrong. There's nothing I can't do.
Ready, Lassie? I could use your help.
Tell me when it was an apple!
Hang on to me!
Now's the time to use the rest of your battery power, Judith!
Yes!
Thank you, Judith. From the bottom of my heart, you were amazing!
That was one smart idea. You totally got us out of there.
No, I totally got you in there. This whole thing was my fault.
Getting us into and out of trouble? Hasn't that always been your specialty?
I guess you're right. Thankfully, this time, Lassie was also there to help you out.
What a team! You two are really the best!
That path leads right back to the main railroad trail.
What do you say, Judith? Shall we finish our hike?
Sure. And this time, I promise to stay on the right path.
Thanks a million for the beautiful gift you gave me, Zoe. It's the best thing anyone's ever given me.
What? You mean the boomerang?
I guess a dick come in handy.
No, silly! I'm talking about today's amazing adventure with you!
This was a dream come true for me, Zoe. I wanted to come back here for such a long time.
I'm so glad you did. It was a dream come true for me, too.
Bye, Judith! Bye! See you soon!
You know what else is a dream come true? Having a fearless friend like you, Lassie.
That's right. Good girl!
Good girl!
