After a month and a half of anticipation, Flight 8 finally took to the skies, carrying immense expectations from the aerospace industry. Once again, SpaceX delivered an impressive feat with Super Heavy, successfully recovering the third Starship booster using the Mechazilla Arms catching method. This achievement further solidified the foundation for full reusability.

However, the issues with the Ship remained unresolved, closely mirroring those of Flight 7. Just minutes into the flight, one Vacuum engine failed, followed by three sea-level engines, causing an imbalance in thrust and leading to a loss of control. Footage from the engine compartment showed small fires on two Raptor Vacuums, while the sea-level engines displayed unusual airflow, indicating a potential leak. As a result, Starship once again met a fiery end, in a moment reminiscent of Flight 7.
