FAA just declared Starship Flight 8 Launch date in Calendar! Elon calls for End ISS in 2027...
The FAA has officially updated the Flight 8 launch date—an exciting milestone for SpaceX!
When will it happen, and how is SpaceX preparing?
Meanwhile, Elon Musk urges the government to fast-track the ISS de-orbit, proposing an ambitious timeline.
And at NASA, the SLS side boosters are now fully stacked, marking major progress for Artemis.
Let’s dive into it all in today’s episode of Great SpaceX!
FAA just declared Starship Flight 8 Launch date in Calendar! Elon calls for End ISS in 2027...
In previous updates, I discussed the estimated launch dates for Flight 8 based on information from the FCC and Elon Musk, who hinted at a possible launch this month. Like many others, I was skeptical. After all, SpaceX’s ambitious timelines often meet delays due to regulatory approvals and technical refinements. But this time, the unbelievable has happened—Flight 8 has received official confirmation.
FAA just declared Starship Flight 8 Launch date in Calendar! Elon calls for End ISS in 2027...
The FAA has now formally acknowledged the upcoming launch in a document called Advisory Details, which specifies a launch window for Starship Flight 8. The schedule includes two primary launch dates: February 26 and 27, with eight backup dates spanning February 27 to March 6. These backup dates are grouped into six separate options, ensuring flexibility in case of delays. The document also provides a link to the observation aircraft schedule, further solidifying the legitimacy of this timeline. With this confirmation, the chances of a February launch are higher than ever. The Advisory Details are not the only piece of evidence—the FAA has also released a NOTAM (Notice to Air Missions), outlining the designated danger zone for Flight 8.
