word adding and managing clipart How to manage clipart in Word tutorial for beginners 2010 2013 2016

uh in this video I want to give you uh some uh quick tips on adding your clip art onto your screen Microsoft Office comes with a lot of built-in pictures that are called clip art so I'm going to pick on insert and then clip art and then this menu is going to appear over here on the right hand side uh you would see the same menu in previous versions of Microsoft Word so now you're going to search for something let's say we're going to search for a car and and you'll see that there are some clip arts about cars in fact this one kind of reminds me of my car now I think about it I'm gonna click on that and notice how the the picture the clip bar is now in your document of course you can move that like I showed you before uh you can resize that using the sizing handles now if I want this to go to the next line uh I'm going to click between the picture and the actually I'm going to click on the clip bar hit the left arrow button one time and then hit the enter key and now you can see I put the picture on a uh the next line if I want to move the picture I can just drag it or I can click on that clip art and uh hit the left arrow button type in a couple spaces that'll move the picture or if I click on the clip art I can do uh Center justify or right justify now um once we click on that clip art then you're going to have the format menu the format only appears when you click on a picture or click on a clip art like this now uh so can change the brightness if you notice the brightness is changing a little bit the preview mode kicks in which is really helpful contrast same kind of thing here it's it's just a black uh image so you don't have too much of effect there but something we can change the contrast the we color so you can add maybe these different tints onto your diagram or onto your picture that one looks pretty good so uh now you can also add all these frames all these uh effects to your pictures these are called picture Styles these are brand new for the new version all right so you can try some of those out once you pick that then you can really customize it over here we can change the uh the shape of the clip art just try some of these different things see which one is going to look good for you uh the picture border is going to change the color of the uh of the uh of the frame see how those are kicking in okay and then the picture effects it would be where we can add a shadow or a reflection a glow you just have to try some of these but these really add some great uh effects onto your picture so now I just added a reflection as we can see all right uh so then with your picture with your clip art you can also do the cropping so I want to pick on crop let's say I didn't want to see the top here so you move your mouse to this line just drag it down or drag it up or down uh to the left or to the right and now I'm I'm actually chopping off some of that picture it's a little bit different than resizing uh I'm actually removing some of the picture when we do a crop and that gives you some ideas of how to uh add and format your clip art into your document
