Okay, let's enter the curve room and I have four curves with me right here, this is the
electric version, that is the electric version with accessories, that is the petrol version,
no, yeah, that's actually the petrol, this is the diesel, this one has accessories and
I'm going to be showing you the Tata Curve today, this is the key of the vehicle, it's
a new key here, yeah, that is a new key, which actually has EV badging here for the EV model,
so this is to lock the car, this is to open the boot of the vehicle, this is for the lights
and this is to unlock the car, so finally, a new key from Tata Motors, so they have launched
the Curve.EV today, which is priced from 18.57 lakhs to 23.20 lakhs, somewhere around that,
on road pricing of course and there are two battery options, 45 and 55, which is 45 kilowatt
hour battery and 55 kilowatt hour battery, so let me quickly tell you the specs of the
car and meanwhile I'm talking, I'll also show you the car, so this one's battery is run
out completely because it has been on since quite some time, so it has got completely
discharged, the 45 kilowatt hour battery pack actually has an electric motor which
produces 150 horsepower and 250 Newton meters of torque and has a claimed range of 502 kilometres,
in the real world, expect around 380 kilometres and it goes from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour
in 9 seconds and has a top speed of 150 kilometres per hour, meanwhile the bigger battery pack,
which is the 55, has a 55 kilowatt hour battery pack, which goes from 0 to 100 kilometres
per hour in 8.6 seconds, 166 horsepower, no, 167 horsepower and 250 Newton meters of
torque, it has a claimed range of 585 kilometres, so real world is around 420 kilometres, let
me open this thing, which is the frunk, because there's some usable storage here, this happens
to be 11.6 litres, but you know what, I'm speaking so much, oh my god, that was quite
loud, let me quickly show you the awesome car perfume from Involve your senses, this
is the Involve One Musk, it's a nice musky manly fragrance, it's easy to regulate, it
does not leak at all and it has dry fresh technology, which surely makes the smell of
the car awesome, it's a top selling product on Amazon, I love the smell of this car, it
is just amazing, not of the car, of the perfume actually, yeah, you can get yours with 10%
discount using coupon code FASBEAM, click somewhere on the top right corner of the screen
right now, so in terms of design, this car is very similar to other Tata cars, which
is this connected light, which also has the welcome and goodbye feature, so I'm just going
to lock the car, I don't know if that's going to work, because I think the car has been
kept on, so that the battery does not drain, oh my god, door handles which pop in and out,
that also is there, it has this light here, no, car is on or what, yeah, the car is on,
so we're going to turn it off, where is the button, there is the button, there the car
turns off and this is obviously the key, right in my hand, I'm just going to shut it and
there, it makes this sound, it shuts, it has this welcome and goodbye animation as well
and there, it does this whole thing, which is quite cool, in fact, this is the charging
port of the vehicle, as soon as you turn on the car now, the charging port will automatically
close, so it has this feature as well, because this car has some accessories, obviously,
they have launched new accessories known as Tata.EV originals, so you get this sort of
carbon fibre finish here, curve branding right there and here and there, they have splashed
some accessories, in fact, on the side, you will notice, you also get rain visors, accessory
obviously and then this particular treatment tube, so I'm going to unlock the car and when
I do that, you see the light animation, okay, we're going to lock the car again, light animation
is super cool, yeah, all these features, this is the desi Urus, but let me quickly unlock
the car, there is a light coming here, let's get inside and let's turn it on straight away,
so I'm going to press this button and there, oh god, the welcome with Tata Motors written
right there, which is actually quite cool, I'm going to turn on the indicators, does
this swipe up thingy, which is also nice, in terms of length now, this car is 4.3 metres,
which is 300mm longer than the Nexon, however, the wheelbase is only longer by 50mm, which
means that the space hasn't increased as much as you would expect, because they have added
a lot of bulk at the rear, tyre size is big, 215, 55, 18 and this alloy wheel design is
obviously very EV centric, gloss black finishing here, dynamic swipe indicators, which is cool,
this is I think the low beam, this is the high beam, front parking sensors, there is
a front parking camera as well and yeah, it looks similar to other Tata cars, however,
it gets functional air curtains at the front, aerodynamic efficiency, in fact, this is lower
when compared to the petrol or the diesel version, because the ground clearance here
is 186mm, that one has a ground clearance of 190mm, water waiting capacity 450mm, which
is not bad, but then at the end of the day, this is not really an SUV, because this is
front wheel drive, it's a single motor setup right here and it says, DOT EV right there,
let's get into the rear, which is a bit disappointing, because space isn't that great, I expected
better space, but no, it's not the case, centre passenger does not get a head either, some
accessory in the form of pillows or something of that sort, door pockets are also small,
there are JBL speakers and then obviously, Tata has really loaded it with a lot of accessories,
firstly, under-thigh support is not that great, space at the rear is not that great, this
is scooped out, there are no magazine holders, not here, not here, you get rear AC vents,
you get a 45W fast charger, this is a USB-C right here and obviously, you get a centre
armrest with twin cup holders too and this seat reclines in two steps, okay, so this
is upright and then you can recline it further as well, which needs a nice shove it, like
you really have to shove it behind, okay, then there is no gap, otherwise, you know,
when it is upright na, there is some gap, so you know that there is possibility of reclining,
six airbags, handle to hold on to, ambient light around the sunroof, which is a panoramic
sunroof and the dashboard actually looks similar to other Tata cars, because the steering seems
to be from the Harrier and the other interior bits seem to be from the Nixon, so yeah, lot
of patching here and there and that's one of the reasons why they have been able to
come to an attractive price point here, nice accessory there, lot of accessories, in fact,
this is also an accessory which is fake because it clearly says, caution, do not apply load,
then what is the point of a roof rail if I cannot apply load yaar, that's how it is,
more about aesthetic appeal here, this car obviously competes with the Citroen Basalt
and this one is obviously better than that but the real competitor is the Hyundai Creta,
which doesn't have this tagline because that car is not shaped for you, the curve is definitely
shaped for you and we get dynamic swipe indicators here as well, now where is the exhaust, there
is no exhaust, why should there be an exhaust, okay, there is the battery, I think because
of the battery pack na, the ground clearance is slightly lesser and what a position to
be shooting a video right, here you get a rear parking camera, says curve.ev, it also
has the rkit.ev app, rear parking sensors, green colour number plate saying that you
are eco-friendly, zero tailpipe emissions because there is no tailpipe only in this
car, let's open the boot which is by pressing a button somewhere here, I'm so miserable
at it, how can I be so bad, okay, I have to figure this, there it is, there is a hidden
button there, this is also gesture control, so if I dance behind na, then obviously it
will open and the boot is 500 litres which is decent size, this is not an accessory bro,
this is a tyre repair kit, what are you talking, because of the sloping roofline you would
say the boot is small but 500 litres is ample enough, there is a charging socket here, what
is this for, I have no idea, yeah, I need to figure this out, anyways, this big fat
matte carpet whatever is lying right here, let's see what is below here, there is obviously
the spare wheel but the spare tyre is smaller, it's a steel wheel, 16-incher, this car is
running on 18-inch wheels, power tailgate, can you believe that and there it shuts, nice
slow and smooth, yeah, that's nice, I don't like the alloy wheel design, I definitely
feel the alloy wheel design of the ICE powered cars are better, anyways, let's step inside
to the main part of this car which is the dashboard, it says curve here, again this
is an accessory bro, what are you talking about, elimination only for the driver's
side, very old switchgear here and the dashboard will remind you of other Tata cars, so not
much of a revolution in that regard, so I'm just going to keep this awesome car perfume
from Involve Your Senses where I don't even know because there is not much space here
to keep but you can keep it somewhere here, there is a 12-volt charging socket right there,
USB-A, USB-C, yeah, fast charger USB-C and it has an electric parking brake, an auto
hold function, drive mode selector right there and you have a gear lever sort of a thing
here to choose gears or either forward, behind or not because this is electric obviously,
not a rotary controller so something they have changed and compared to the Nexon, press
a button here, the glove box opens, the glove box is massive, Easter egg right there, the
first aid kit is very very cheap and you have two cup holders, who actually puts their
cups here and keeps the glove box open, not really a good idea, pen holder as well, another
storage pocket there, sort of carbon fibre finishing, okay, this is an accessory I think,
meanwhile you have got some storage space here, this does not move ahead or behind,
wireless charging pad right there and the indicator is on, so I'm really stupid but
it shows me blind spot right there, yeah, this is a 10.25-inch, yeah, 10.25-inch screen
for the digital instrument cluster which actually gives you plenty of information, you can browse
through a lot of things, it shows you the energy flow, there's a tyre pressure monitor
as well, navigation and all, you can obviously mirror your phone using Apple CarPlay, Android
Auto in terms of the maps here, this is actually a 12.3-inch screen which is actually quite
nice and because this is an electric car, the electric versions of all Tata cars have
an Rkid.EV app where you can also download apps, you can watch YouTube, you can watch
sports, you can do a lot of those things, YouTube Kids, you can also play games, so
there's BB Racing which is there because obviously it has got connected car tech, I need to install
it right now, why is it not installed, I'm just gonna, okay, forget it, I'm not going
to read that today, we get into reverse, this is the reverse parking camera, 360-degree
parking camera and the reverse parking camera and I've got multiple views here which is
fantastic, yeah, lot of features in this car, this car is really loaded, auto-dimming mirror
here, light placement here on the top and you get a mirror, you don't get a mirror here
but you get a strap, let's open the sunroof, not the biggest sunroof because obviously
it's a coupe na, SUV coupe, so sloping roofline but there it opens and obviously the cabin
is super-duper airy because this happens to be beige, so little bit difference in terms
of the interior colour finishing and Tata logo illuminates here but this is obviously
a fingerprint magnet, you get cruise control, you get level 2 ADAS which has got 20 features
here and this might remind you of Range Rover's, the colour scheme, flat-bottom steering wheel,
the horn, horn is the same as other Tata cars, so I'm just going to shut the car, where's
the button, there is the button and there it shuts, tells me light is on, 1R mode activated,
all this is also there, let's get out and let's head to the other car because there's
so much to talk about, the internal combustion engine model which is going to go on sale
next month, no it's not going on sale immediately, it will go on sale next month, I'll tell you
why, first they want to push the EV and they've priced the EV aggressively because they're
like you know, for the price of internal combustion engine cars, we will give you EV, this one
is the petrol, yeah this one is the petrol actually and if you notice one thing, the
lights are off completely because battery is good, meanwhile this one has accessories,
this is actually the diesel and this is actually the diesel which gets a dual-clutch automatic
gearbox now, which is fantastic, I love the colour, red looks amazing on this car somehow
but you've got accessories, here you've got other accessories as well, front looks really
nice, everything else is the same in terms of the features and all, so I'm not going
to go into that but I'll show you the car from the side, it looks quite nice actually
if you are into coupe SUVs, sloping roofline, looks a bit bulky from certain angles but
I'm not able to understand the whole point of having a much longer car, when it really
doesn't translate to much more space in the car but then because of the design na, they
had to increase the length, higher ground clearance here, so let's quickly talk about
the engines, there are 3 engines, there's a 1.2 litre petrol engine, the turbo petrol
engine which already does duty in a lot of Tata cars, 120 horsepower, 170 Newton meters
of torque, good, not great obviously because it's a 3 cylinder engine but they have a new
turbo petrol engine but that is also 3 cylinder, what is this?
125 horsepower, 225 Newton meters of torque, that one is the newer engine, it is the GDI
motor, so direct injection, obviously something which we have been waiting for, since a long
time now, both the petrol engines, 1.2 litre in displacement but this one is going to surprise
you, I'll tell you why, I always struggle to open this, first things first, let's open
the engine bay and let me show it to you that this car has a diesel and a diesel is a diesel
is a diesel here, so this engine is the 1.5 litre diesel, 117 PS of power, torque output
up to 60 Newton meters and I couldn't catch that, that was heavy, that was hefty, I want
to show you the engine of this car also because this is the petrol obviously and they have
not got the GDI engine here at the launch, they have 6 cars but there is no GDI, are
they even ready with the GDI, I'm not too sure, okay, this is not opening, someone has
removed the cover of the fuse box, you can see the interior here and straight away, let's
open this, okay, yeah, it is opening, one second, the air filter is, okay, I need to
figure how to keep this held up, air filter is here, I'm just going to remove it and show
it to you, that is the air filter which is positioned right in front, nobody should see
me doing all that, that's the reason, this is the only video where you will not see any
person, I've made everyone leave the room so that we can focus on the Tata Curve all
alone today, door visors, accessory, another accessory, accessory, accessory but yeah,
red hot, the colour of course, somehow the key has actually landed in my pocket, so I'll
show you the key, it doesn't say .ev on the key obviously and this interior actually looks
better, yeah, this interior colour definitely looks better because this is finished in red
but why doesn't the centre passenger get a head, I have no clue, here you can see the
panoramic sunroof and the seats are actually comfortable but this car is not much wider
when compared to a Nexon, not much taller when compared to a Nexon, it gets front seat
ventilation as well, that feature is also there and the car is turned off because I
think the battery is cooled completely, you get an umbrella holder here, so in terms of
features, Tata Motors is like, let's give people everything they ask for, okay, hoping
for the best, fingers crossed, let's turn on the car, there it does turn on, no, it
is, one second, yeah, it has turned on, so I'm quite happy about that and it has the
Aira connected car tech thingy, doesn't have the RK.EV thing which is obviously there in
the electric version of the car but so many engine options which is a fantastic thing
and in terms of efficiency, well, I didn't tell you how fast that car charges, it charges
from 10% to 80% in 40 minutes using a 70 kilowatt DC fast charger which is hard to
find because mostly we get 50 and 60 kilowatt DC fast chargers, I love the colour treatment
on the inside, this red treatment is absolutely fantastic, looks very premium, yeah, they
have done a fantastic job in terms of opting for the colour right here, okay, stop ringing,
what is ringing, I don't know, why is the seat so up, obviously you've got electric
adjust here, yeah, they have put so many features, it's quite unbelievable and I like this treatment
as well, it has ambient lighting, can we get into the screen, yeah, we can, there are a
few things to look out for, there's mood light which you can alter like this but in essence,
all the features are very similar to other Tata cars but I don't like this touch panel
here because it's a fingerprint magnet, it needs physical buttons for sure, press a button,
360 degree parking camera starts and then obviously you've got AC controls, I love this
feature, okay, rolls down the window, turns on the air conditioning at full blast and
listen to it, okay, what she's going to say, tell me, tell me, tell me, yes, baby, I like
that, okay, TPMS has malfunctioned because of the express cooling, okay, they have nothing
to do with each other, I can press this and the boot also opens, open it, it pauses for
a couple of seconds and then the boot opens, in fact if you forget to close the boot now,
the boot will automatically close, hill descent control has also malfunctioned because of
some reason, weird reason, I think because of the battery being full now right now, some
of these issues are cropping up, some instructions of how to drive this car, thank you so much
for teaching me, okay, stop making sounds, let me actually get into the camera function
here, so let's come to the 3D view, what a beautiful camera, actually the quality is
very nice here but the colour of the car and the colour of the camera car, car in the camera,
that don't seem to match but you've got multiple views here, yeah, Tata Motors is going crazy
in terms of technology but few panel gaps are there here and there which means that
once Tata Motors eliminates those panel gaps and ensures that there's good QC and good
quality in their car, then this car will definitely sell in hot numbers and I definitely feel
this car is going to sell in hot numbers, the pricing which I told you about the EV
is introductory only but I'm definitely waiting, why is it blinking, why is it flashing baby,
what happened to you, who hurt you, let me know, anyways thank you so much for watching
this video, if you like this video make sure to give it a thumbs up, that's a like button
and also subscribe to the channel, I'll drive this car later but this one I'm going to drive
really really really soon, what is this dude doing here, I had specifically told people
not to enter this room, this room is mine, I will not let anyone enter, how did you sneak
in here, who dropped this, I was the infiltrator who was already sitting in that car, the security
breach is over today, bye bye.
