Video Summary
AI GeneratedThree heavy-duty dually trucks—the Ram 3500, Chevrolet Silverado 3500, and Ford F-350—compete in a series of drag races to determine which diesel engine reigns supreme in terms of speed and acceleration.
Hey Andre, what does this Ram 3500 Dually that you're driving tow?
Well, it can tow just under 31,000 pounds.
I'm driving the brand new Silverado 3500 Dually and it tows exactly 31,000 pounds and over
here it's Mr. Truck in the brand new F-350 Dually.
What does it tow?
It tows over 31,000.
So Mr. Truck, are we going to tow?
No, we're going to drag race.
All right Andre, so why aren't we towing today?
Well it's about bragging rights and ultimate speed this time.
It's Cummins versus Duramax versus Powerstroke.
And Mr. Truck, what do you think?
How should we drag race?
Well, you two drag race first and I'll race the winner.
All right, so it's Cummins versus Duramax.
Winner takes on the Super Duty.
Let's do it.

My Ram Dually is powered by a 6.7 liter straight six, not a V8, turbo diesel.
It's a high output, 420 horsepower and 1,075 pound feet of torque like it was from 2021.
And it's backed up by a six speed automatic Aisin transmission and a 4.10 rear axle ratio.
Now, unlike Andre's old straight six, I've got American V8.
It's a 6.6 liter Duramax that puts out 470 horsepower and get this, 975 pound foot of torque.
Now it's paired to a 10 speed automatic.
It's got a 3.42 rear axle ratio.
All right, Andre, as you know, these big boys like to pull torque or maybe not.
You know, when I was at the Chevrolet program, when they announced the new diesels, they said they always put the power to the ground.
Well, I suggest just in case we do three races, we do one where we just floor it, keep traction control on.
Then we do another one where we turn traction control off, brake torque it and see how good we are as drivers.
And then finally, we do a rolling race.
Well, we got to do it because this is like the heavyweight championship for drag racing of this decade.
All right, here we go in three, two, one, go.
Come on Chevy.
Oh, there goes the power.
And there goes Andre.
Oh, yeah.
Why?
What are you waiting for?
Oh, this thing is really taking off pretty substantially.
Andre is so far behind.
He's in a different area code.
And there we go.
17.31.
Hi, Andre.
I think you're a different area code there.
I think that was a lumbering race.
All right, let's do for reals now.
Let's turn traction control off and pull them up.
Dude, that was very for reals.
What do you mean for reals?
All right, now this one's more about skill, right?
Because you can roast these rear tires if you get this wrong.
All right, my traction control is off.
All right, I'm ready for this premier main event.
Well, not quite main event, because the next race is the main event.
Three, two, one, go.
Oh, a little bit of spin.
I did two 11s.
Is that like a 22?
Let's have a little bit less weight, more horsepower, 470 versus 420.
Come on, Ram.
Bye-bye.
Oh, that was quicker.
16.24.
17.7.
All right, Mr. Smirnoff, I gotta say that was quicker.
Well, the winner is clear, my friend.
You know that Duramax is quicker by far.
I think I laid a 22.
You mean double 11s?
Exactly.
All right, count us down, Tommy.
Andrew, let me know when you're at 30, and I'll go three, two, one, go.
And we're at 30.
Two, one, go.
Oh, my gosh.
So the winner is clear.
This is a new 2023 Ford F350, made in America, transmission and engine.
It's all new.
It's got the high output 6.7 power stroke diesel matched to a 10 speed.
And so it has 500 horsepower and 1,200 foot pounds of torque.
And it's got a 355 axle ratio.
This video is brought to you guys by our friends at Brighton Ford Colorado.
Not only do they have a huge selection of brand new Fords,
they also have a lot of used vehicles as well.
So check them out using the link in the description below.
All right, Kent, it's Ford versus Chevy.
Hey, by the way, what's up with your hat, dude?
Hey, whenever I race the Ford with a hat,
it bends the back end against the headrest because the G-Force is so big.
All right, so you're saying you're going to wreck your hat during this drag race.
Fair enough.
Now, Kent, as you know, we are a mile above sea level.
So times we're going to be a little slower than those of all you folk down in sea level land.
But let's do this.
So this time we're doing the first race.
Traction control is on.
We're just going to floor it.
Tommy's going to count us down.
Tommy, you ready for my secret weapon?
Oh, you brought in your mirrors, huh, Kent?
Well, I can do that, too.
There we go.
We both have a secret weapon.
Yeah, we're top secret people here.
All right, when I say go, give her a hell.
In three, two, one, go.
Stop, stop, stop.
You know, Kent, three, two, one, go means you go.
Yeah, but Tommy said it works better in drive.
All right, here we go.
In three, two, one, go.
Come on, Chevy.
Oh, here he comes.
Oh, he's sticking up ahead of me, but it's close.
Oh, he's getting ahead of me.
Come on, Chevy.
Come on, Chevy, go.
Go, go, go, go, go, go.
That was 17.48, but at 90 miles an hour.
So I went up one mile an hour.
Well, congratulations, Kent.
You won that one.
But this next one's more about driving skills.
So let's see how you do with track control off.
I don't want to put a brake to it.
Wait a minute.
When you're pulling a Ford down the drag strip,
you don't need luck or skill?
Anyway, congratulations.
What was your time?
It was 16.54, and speed was 93.
All right.
Race number two.
My chance to take the Ford.
We ready?
Three, two, one, go.
Come on, Chevy.
You got me again.
He's got me.
Not getting away from me, but he got me.
Nice work, Kent.
I went a lot faster.
I went 16.58, still at 89 miles an hour.
What'd you drop to?
I was at 15.57 and 92.3 miles an hour.
Wow, the whole second quicker.
That's pretty amazing.
All right, one more race.
This time what we'll do is we're going to roll up
from the back of the airfield to 30 miles an hour, right?
So I'm going to go up to 30.
You stay with me.
When we hit 30, I'm going to tell Tommy we're at 30,
and then he's going to count us down.
And when he says go, you floor it, cool?
With the traction control off?
It doesn't really matter.
It's up to you.
You're not going to roast them because we're moving,
so you can leave it off.
Okay, that's 20, 25, 30.
Three, two, one, go.
Oh, it's close.
He's still taking me, but it's close.
That Ford is something else.
Come on, Duramax.
Congratulations, Kent.
We know which 3500, or in this case,
Super Duty F350 is king of the hill.
Well, thanks.
That's nice to win three races on a Monday.
Todd, you got one more race, dude.
One more race.
All right, Kent.
So you absolutely creamed the other two Dualies
in that new Ford.
So I thought it'd be fun to bring in another Ford.
This time, a 2014 Mustang GT to see how quick that Dually really is.
Now, I just want to point out that you ran a mid-15 second range
and Case's C4 Corvette that's been freshly tuned up
with brand new tires runs a 15.6.
So you, that up here at elevation,
that F350 is faster than an 80s Corvette.
Cool.
What are you running, that little baby coyote engine?
Yeah, yeah.
Baby coyote engine, 420 horsepower.
What do you think, Kent?
You think you can take me in that new Dually?
Well, of course.
500 horsepower will certainly top that.
All right, Andre.
This one, just for fun.
Let's see what happens.
I'm not going to brake torque it.
I'm just going to floor it.
All right.
Three, two, one, go.
Oh, good launch.
Holy cow.
That F350 is running with me 360 miles an hour.
That was unbelievable.
And then, of course, on the top end, I leave him for dust.
All right, Kent.
Nice work.
Well, I just ran a 14.77 at 102.
Once again, these naturally aspirated engines
really suffer up here at elevation.
But the fact that we were neck and neck
for the first 60 miles an hour is pretty amazing.
Well, I had the RPM too high.
Andre said go lower, but I still, I was down to 14,
but I need to be like 12, because I was still
kicking up dirt and just spinning.
What did you do in the quarter?
It was 15.62, slightly slower than my normal one.
And at 91.9 miles an hour.
That's pretty damn good, my friend.
That's really good.
All right, gentlemen, it was America
versus America versus America.
And America won.
Yes.
And of course, we're reading your comments.
So please let us know what you think about this.
And of course, write down that the comments sounds the best.
Now, look, this is what a Ford can do.
Binge your head against the headrest
because your G-Forces are way up there.
Happy trails.
See you guys next time.
Ciao.
