Defeat In The FA Cup | Man Utd v Fulham

Bruno Fernandes leading out Manchester United, Stuart Atwell carrying the special match ball out to the middle of the Old Trafford turf. That match ball still has all of the lovely little gold details on it that are reserved for the holders and reigning champions of this famous old competition. Ball's all the way out far side, brilliant bit of work though from Manu Agaté, pulls it back to Bruno Fernandes, strikes the ball, goal with big save! Turned away, out for a corner Manchester United. Bruno getting a bit of stick from the Fulham fans, I'm sure he'll store that up for later on. Loose inside the penalty area, headed home, Calvin Bassi lurking at the back post. Mane drives towards the edge of the penalty area, just all opens up for him, finds Anthony Robinson, pulls it back to the edge of the box. Emil Smith-Rowe with the right-footed effort, he's kept out by Andre Inanna. Then Andreas Pereira has picked it up on the edge of the penalty area, up against Viktor Lindelof one way and then the other, leaves Viktor Lindelof on the ground. What a tackle, smashes in Mata. Deleuze in space and he's going to swing across it to Bruno Fernandes, gets his shot away! Equaliser, captain fantastic! It's our Portuguese, Magnifico again, with the equaliser. Ball turned to the edge of the penalty area, Emil Smith-Rowe with the effort, oh brilliant stop, Andre Inanna away to his right-hand side. Xherxey looking to knob this on, Chido Obi's going to try and get there ahead of Bassi. Does brilliantly, Chido Obi in the penalty area, keeps his feet, takes his shot! Floated to the edge of the penalty area, brought down by United, oh! Chido Obi arriving last minute. Alejandro Garnacho's onside and he's burst into the penalty area, Alejandro Garnacho with the shot, has hit the side netting. Find Xherxey, Xherxey back to Casemiro, Casemiro charging, Chido Obi in the penalty area, Chido Obi with the effort, what a save! Berlino gets something to it, brilliant from Chido Obi. The path of Sessignon, Sessignon is into the penalty area, Diogo Delo comes out, tries to get a grip of him, gets the shot away, brilliant stop again. That is the end of extra time, 130 minutes plus of football, can't separate these two sides. Places the ball on the spot, short run up for Lindelof and it's been saved. Exhales, big deep breath, steps up, lashes it towards goal, Leno saves and Manchester United are out of the FA Cup. Two missed penalties, one from Viktor Lindelof and one from Joshua Xherxey, mean that Manchester United have no way of making it through. Fulham mob their goalkeeper inside the six-yard box. And 130 minutes of football ended cruelly from the penalty spot, means that Manchester United are out of this season's FA Cup. A penalty kicks loss to Fulham at the Stretford end, and they will be hugely disappointed after being the better side for the majority of the game.
