and I love it because so much of the time in our life Fashion Beauty all of the solutions around those things are positioned to help you look less tired or help you feel more put together everything is kind of based in a Fix-It framework that's not the case with Barbie it's all about enjoying what you think looks good what you want to wear it's all about pleasure it's not about a trend and it's not not about Trends it's about you saying I like what this is and I want to wear it and it makes me happy and it makes me feel good instead of just doing what you think you need to do or what is wanted to make a custom color I just love playing with color and makeup and stuff and sometimes it's fun to make your own shade I'm gonna put these nails on and then paint them with two or three coats [Music] I feel like I've been doing neutral for so long and it's so fun to just come back to color and like fun not because it's on Trend but because it's like happy it's happifying I love having pink around me and yellow and green and blue now we have Barbie nails and it's gonna go perfectly with this makeup now I have my wig on and it's time to get started with the makeup this look is going to be really fun because it's all about having fun and enjoying the colors which isn't something I always do actually it's kind of sad I like doing this I'm gonna do it more starting with some eye drops I put those in my eyes which just brighten and make them look really fresh and hydrated and now I'm going to begin on the Brows I'm using a blonde pencil for my brows and for those who watch my channel you know I love to bleach the eyebrow I just love the way it looks and today since we're going for something much lighter I'm gonna use a blonde brow gel as well and it gives a little bit of color and texture all I need to do with the eyebrows is create symmetry so to really emphasize what I've created I'm going to use some concealer around the eyebrow and clean it up make it look very sharp I've been trying out different drugstore foundations I'm going to use one today and I'm using a shade that is a little bit more light than my skin tone it's a very medium coverage Foundation almost full coverage so it looks really bright but once I blend it out everything really does suit my skin tone this is going to give a very porcelain doll like effect which is perfect for this look speaking to the utility of Beauty and Fashion again let's think about this we always go ahead and add our concealer and then our brows and start moving on to the eyes and everything is about building today we're going to just turn it on its head because there's a different function to doing a Barbie style makeup look this is all about fun and all about having fun and enjoying what you're doing so I'm going to set the face and have my blank canvas and then go right in with a blush color that I love something that's exciting and fun and a little bit much and I'm going to add a lot of layers to my cheeks and then to my nose as well for a doll-like effect then you want to pick your jewelry this is exactly where we pause the makeup and find some jewelry that's really exciting for you I love these droplet earrings they're really big and glamorous and beautiful and so much of the time we leave jewelry like this for a reason you know you think of like something where you have to dress up but how fun is it to wear costume jewelry because it's pretty you know you can just wear it because it makes you happy I'm gonna do the lips and the jewelry and then we can move on to the rest of the makeup the reason why we do the lips is because you want to be able to direct the makeup look and not make this look costumey where possible you know because it really could go in that direction so I'm gonna do the lips do the jewelry have everything kind of set and then we can go and detail the eyes this watermelon color of this lip gloss is beautiful for this look I love this formula it's hydrating and happy but also what looks good because most of the look is done and that way the eyes become more of an ornament instead of a building block for the look I'm packing on a really light milky shade all the way up to my crease keeping in mind that I have an asymmetry between both eyes one is smaller so on the smaller eye I'm going to try to lift this color up a little higher to create more symmetry applying eyeshadow can be really easy when you put a color like this down first and since we have that concealer underneath the eye as well as on top of the eye everything is going to really pop and show the true colors try a shocking pink in your crease but do it on the outer third of the eye I'm taking this color and I'm swiping it right in the brow bone area in the crease where the brow naturally has a like definition there and I want to just blend it really carefully but I want that hyperactive pink to really show even when my eyes are open we're going to add a few little doll details if you will because normally I wouldn't pack a Milky color like this on the brow bone but putting it carefully aligned with the pupil is going to give a brightening effect and it's going to make it look more barbie-esque which is beautiful I'm taking a light but kind of deep on my skin blue color and this looks a little bit deep when you first pack it on but if you layer it up you get a true blue shade which plays really well with pink because when you blend the two together you get purple so this is going to be really easy to blend and I'm going to put this on the outer third of the eye and blending in some of that shocking pink to make everything more seamless and perfect look at it go easy on yourself if you're a perfectionist when it comes to eyeshadow blending there's something very artistic and fun about the fact that this may not be perfect it actually literally might look like you just had fun with your makeup which is kind of a vibe in and of itself you know add some sparkle this is makeup for serotonin this is makeup for feel good so like add whatever you want add a star a heart some sparkles a little diamond or rhinestone something cute and then we're gonna move on to eyeliner I'm using a dark brown liner because it kind of reads black at least on this color scheme I've been loving waterproof mascara it seems to have solved my problems at least with like flaking and transfer on my under eyes which was like a thing for like years I was I was just living that way but waterproof mascara is like really good and I'm going to top it off with some lashes of course for doll eyes this is a total must whether you add little ones or spiky ones it's just going to complete the look look speaking of completing the look if you have really dark eyes and you're going for this color scheme and you want to brighten everything up if you have blue eyes you don't need to do this or not need to but it won't have the same effect dark black eyes dark brown eyes definitely give this a try even when you're make like regular makeup routine it's amazing you add a little bit of silver to the waterline this kind of makes up for any brightness that you would have if you're doing a Barbie look and you have blue eyes it gives like a contrast with the dark brown and it looks amazing I'm going to add a little bit of charcoal to the upper lash line and to the
