Ranking Every Cricut Product From 👍 BEST TO WORST 👎 (Not Just Cricut Brand)

have you ever wanted to know what our favorite products were and what we think are the worst well if that's the case you are in the right place my name is Lauren and I'm a craft producer here at makers G to learn and in today's video I'm going to be ranking our favorite Cricut products and explaining why they're our favorites all the way down to our absolute least favorite products so if you're ready buckle up and let's go ahead and get started so starting with our absolute favorite I bet you all could never guess what our favorite Cricut product is I'm going to give you about three seconds all right if you didn't guess the Cricut Mini easy press you were wrong y'all the cricet mini easy press is one of those things that I never in a million years thought that I would use it as much as I do but this is our absolute goto press when it comes to applying h TV to really any type of blank this little thing is it's one of those that's small But Mighty and if you do not already have it in your Cricut or crafting Arsenal I'm telling you this is an investment or this is a purchase I won't even say it's an investment because it is not really that expensive this is a purchase that is going to change the game for you and I'm telling there's so many uses other than just with using it with your Cricut or using it with h TV y'all I have one of these at home and I use these as a little mini iron I'm telling you the Cricut Mini easy press is definitely something you need to get if you don't have one already and that's why it is number one on our list next up on the list is actually another Cricut product and y'all this is what's so funny we have our top two things on the list are Cricut products and our bottom two things on the list are Cricut products so I'm telling you it's a wide range of stuff here but number two favorite thing is the cricket true control knife now this true control knife I'm sure you all are thinking but Lauren that's just an xacto knife and you know what you're not wrong it is kind of just an xacto knife however cricet saw that Crafters that were creating things with their machine were using xacto knives and they saw a need and went ahead and addressed it before anybody even mentioned it the way that this fits in your hand so that you can get a nice clean even cut the way that it unlocks and locks here and the ease of changing the blades I'm telling you is one of the things that I really think Cricut put a lot of thought into this I love this tool and I'm I even use it sometimes to weed people kind of get on to me sometimes because I do use my true control knife to weed my designs but I just think it's such a good multi-purpose tool I can really get a good cut on my vinyl I can cut other materials with it is this is just one that I promise you it's going to stay right there close to me when I'm crafting it's not going to be found very far from me we are obsessed with a Cricut TR control knife number three on the list is also another smaller tool and it is going to help you with your weeding and that is a pin pin tool the pen pin tool was created by 143 vinyl and what it is is it looks just like a pen it holds like a pen so it fits really well in your hand but it has a needle tip on it and you can just click it out and in and this is amazing for very intricate weeding this is going to be a great tool if you have small pieces that you have to weed all you have to do is take your pin pin tool you're going to just grab those few little tiny pieces now there is a very specific way to work this and I like to call this the punch and flick so when you are weeding when I mean the punch and flick is I like to punch my needle through the little piece and then just kind of flick it away flick it up whether it's forward to the side back whatever it's the punch flick that's my favorite way to use a pin pin tool and this is definitely one a very inexpensive thing to add to your crafting Arsenal if you don't have it already definitely go grab you a pin pin tool the next two things on our list so for four and five are Caesar Brand Products now this is where we're getting into the actual materials that we use so our favorite heat transfer vinyl or some may call HTV is hands down no comparison going to be Caesar easy weed y'all they named it properly because the way that this heat transfer vinyl weeds after it's cut is like butter it weeds unlike any other HTV that I have ever used they are the brand is amazing we love Caesar the HTV stays on what you put it on and like I said it cuts and weeds like butter they named it easyweed for a reason if you haven't used the brand HTV yet and you are new to cricketing I promise you it is going to change the way that you look at heat transfer vinyl so if you don't have any already go ahead and grab some Caesar a easyweed HTV now the next product which would be number five for us and this is one that is not necessarily the favorite I don't think I think it has become the favorite over time but it did not it was not the favorite when I first started working here and that is the Caesar transfer tape y'all I'm obsessed with the Caesar transfer tape I love it because you have these grids and we'll go overhead so you can see it it has very light grids on it so you can see when we take it off the backing it's not just on the backing let me see if I can pull some back so you can see but you can see here that the the grid is actually on the transfer tape it does have a little bit of texture to the top of it which I like personally but I also love the tack on this it is a good I would say medium Tac transfer tape so what that means is when you lay this down on the vinyl that you are transferring to another blank it is going to take you braiding it or burnishing it down to make sure that the vinyl sticks to the transfer tape however what it's going to ensure is that when you put it on your blank this transfer tape is not going to pull anything up and it's going to be very easy to transfer that vinyl over with I have found sometimes that especially with a higher tack or to be real honest Cricut brand transfer tape sometimes holds on to the vinyl more than I want it to so I would say the Caesar transfer tape Falls between it has a lot more tack than contact paper but a lot less than the Cricut brand transfer tape and I think it's just a really really good medium so this is why it is number five on our list moving on down the list these are still things that we love so far but they're just a little bit further down the list but next up is going to be the Cricut Breer once again this is another Cricut product that I absolutely love I have found that this is amazing when you are going to put down a SP especially your prin and cut projects going to put that down on your mat you can use this a brayer versus a burnishing tool or a squeegee sometimes I have found that these burnishing tools when I go to drag it across either my PR and cut project or vinyl or things like that sometimes I have noticed when I'm using a burnishing tool or a squeegee when I go to drag it across either my prin and cut project or my vinyl or whatever I have on my mou because I use this for so many different things it does have some texture on the end of it and I've noticed that sometimes it will leave scratches so if you are working with a material such as a PR and cut material maybe a foiled vinyl or a foiled heat transfer vinyl that you don't want scratches on I'm obsessed with the brayer what it does is it rolls over your design so easily it does not leave scratches this is like a silicone roller I just think it is a a great tool to have and one that I would never think to purchase unless I saw someone else using it so if you do a lot of PR and cut projects I definitely think you need to just go ahead and get you one of these Cricut brers because I it's going to save you when it comes to putting those projects on your mat before you go to cut number seven on the list is going to be none other than our Lin Lily hot glue gun now this hot glue gun is a sure bonder hot glue gun specifically they collaborated with Lyn Lily to give us this super cute color way which is a teal and hot pink colorway but what I love about this hot GL but what I love most about this hot glue gun is the fact that y'all it's cordless not only is it cordless so what happens is you put this on the base so I wanted to show you up close what you do is you place this on the base you can see that it connects there and that is what is going to charge your hot glue gun and get it super hot one once it has reached temperature this is a high temperature glue gun you can take it off and you have three working minutes to now use this hot glue gun but what I really love the most about it is this Precision tip and y'all can see this is such a loved hot glue gun we have had this for years but this Precision tip it's going to be a GameChanger when you're doing very small paper projects and things like that I just love the Precision tip because I can really get in there and get a good bead of hot glue now now if you're the type of person that doesn't want to use your hot glue gun cordless I love that with this one all you have to do take this cord out of the bottom of your charging base and now all I have to do is place that in the bottom of my hot glue gun and now I just have a regular corded hot glue gun next up at number eight on the list you are going to find nicam mats now nicam mats we have been using for years years at this point and honestly we still have yet to find anything better than nicapa if you are a friend of the channel you know that we have discovered or we have noticed maybe a little bit of a decline in quality of the stickiness of the nicam mats because they seem to not be lasting as long as they used to however with all of that being said we still use them all the time we still love them they are a great alternative to an expensive more expensive Cricut mat so that's why you're going to find them at number eight falling right in the middle of the list because it's one of those things we still love them we still use them if we found something better you never know our minds might change but that's why you are finding nicapa at number eight versus number two or three on our list today like I said this is still a great Matt we still love her we still stand by her but if you all have any suggestions on mates that maybe you have tried that are offbrand mates that are cheaper leave those in the comments down below we would love to hear your suggestions now we're getting into the section of the list where we're kind of like it's okay section it's not our favorite we see a purpose for these products we do think that it helps is it worth the investment or worth your time I don't know you could take it or leave it so coming in at number nine on our list is going to be the Cricut hat press now this is a press specifically made for hats it comes with this press you can see it has a curved surface along with this little guy that you put your hat over to H help it hold its shape so the whole premise of this is you have a hat you place it on here it does have a very convenient little handle at the bottom so you can place it here and you can hold it like this if you want to to keep it steady I do really enjoy that part of it and what is it's meant to do is kind of like taking the concept of the mini easy press and not creating a large like clamshell hat press so what you're doing is you're just creating this press but you your arms are the pressure so the reason that this Falls very midline on our list and we're kind of like take it or leave it is because it still takes a very steady hand even for me who has used this a lot if I am doing this and holding it it is hard for me to hold this steel and apply pressure and it not move everywhere but then if I set it on the table I mean you get more of a grip if it's on the table but you can't see it as well so anyway this is one if you do a lot of hats and you don't want to invest in a large or you don't have the space for a large clamshell hat press this could be an option like I said we have used it it does work it doesn't give us any troubles but it is kind of expensive so if you don't do a lot of hats I just think the mini easy press is a tool that you can do pretty much the same thing with you're just going to do it small sections at a time versus one time doing it with this so that's why the Cricut hot press Falls at number nine on our list next up coming in at number 10 on our list and we don't even have any here is going to be Cricut transfer tape now I was talking about this earlier in the video we don't hate Cricut transfer tape it just has a stronger tack to it and I feel like when I go to apply the vinyl that I have transferred or trying to transfer onto my blank sometimes the Cricut transfer tape will pull up parts of the blank that I'm transferring that vinyl to so we do like it if you need that extra tack if there is a project that you are doing where you need a little bit of extra tack on your transfer tape we do like cricet but it is just not what we reach for so that's why it falls at number 10 on the list coming in at number 11 is actually going to be the Cricut foil transfer tip now we only have this for the Cricut Joy right now but I can show you what it looks like it's the one with the blue housing that has the different um size foil tips we're once again not saying that we don't like it we are just saying that this is not something that we reach for honestly hardly ever we have found that there are some very special projects that we will use the foil transfer tip however one of the things that we have learned and discovered is if we want that foil look we have found foil HTV that gives an absolutely amazing effect and we have also used the Starcraft Electro foil with the Caesar easyweed adhesive heat transfer vinyl so I just feel like there are other things that you can do to get the same effect instead of spending your money on a foiling transfer tip when really the only thing you can foil on with this is going to be paper so that's why it's going to fall lower at number 11 if foiling is something that you do all the time once once again definitely go ahead and get it we don't hate it we just don't think it is one that you're going to use as much as you think you will now we're getting into the things that we don't really like and first up and coming in at number 12 on the list is going to be this double-sided tape runner now you all know that we are a hardcore Scotch atg gun stands here that is our thing that is what we love however they don't make them anymore so we have been trying to find another double-sided tape gun or adhesive Runner to replace it that you all can get your hands on and we're still just not sold on the ones that we have found do they get the job done if you don't have an atg gun absolutely do they compare to the atg gun absolutely not there is no comparison so if Scotch if you're listening please for the love of Crafters bring back the scotch atg gun that's all I'm going to say and we'll leave it at that now the last two on the list the very last one I have a box to show you but the next one that we're going to talk about we don't even have in the office y'all I have used this product before it just does not compare to its competitors and remember at the first of the video when I said we had two Cricut products at the top now we're talking about the two Cricut products at the bottom that we just do not we would never I personally I'm not going to touch it with a 10ft pole that's just me I have once before and I regretted it i' I I regretted it pretty quickly um so first up is going to be Cricut heat transfer vinyl now if you have used it and you have had great luck kudos to you I have used it multiple times and it to me does not compare to Caesar easyweed HTV the longevity of the HTV Cricut brand does not stay on the blank as well as Caesar cricet does not weed as well as Caesar and cricet does not cut as well as Caesar in my personal opinion I'm not saying it's bad if you got some in the box when you got your machine please pleas use it to test on if you don't have any other options and you only see the color that you need in Cricut brand y'all that's fine but if we're talking about quality Cricut HTV the quality just is not there in my opinion so that's why you're finding it at the bottom of the list now at the very bottom I'm talking the very bottom and this product I understand where Cricut was going with it I understand their thoughts behind it they I just don't think that they created created a great product I think Cricut in general is an amazing company obviously they make amazing machines and they make things that I love but this one is not and my opinion this one can go straight to the trash straight to the trash and if you guessed smart material you would be correct now I used smart material with the Cricut Venture this specifically is Cricut Venture size smart material this came with our Cricut Venture we did not purchase this so because we had it laying around and we hadn't used it in forever I thought why not go ahead and use the Cricut smart material on the Venture thinking that it would be so much better to complete an order that I had of 150 plus bags this should have been a pretty um quick I won't say quick project because with the Venture it cuts a lot faster the weeding process was going to take some time it was a nightmare trying to weed the Cricut smart material and it wasn't that the machine didn't cut it it was just a nightmare to weed it was a nightmare to try to iron on because the transfer tape on this smart material is so thick because the transfer tape is what acts like your mat if you weren't aware cricet created smart materials for for the maker 3 the Explorer 3 the and the Venture because these machines are set up to be able to just go ahead and take this material load it into your machine and do matless cutting so you have to think if there is not a mat what is going to replace the mat well it's the transfer tape on the smart material and let me tell you it is so thick you cannot hardly get the press to heat up the vinyl as much as you need it to and it takes so much longer to apply it did not apply well I was I ruined at least 20 bags trying to use this material so anyway that's why smart material it can go to the trash in my opinion but you make your own mind up that's just our opinion here at makers going to learn and that is our experience with that thing like I said I'm not bashing Cricket I love cricket our whole business is cricet related but that material m- that's a no for me and y'all that's it that is our list from best to worst Cricut and not necessarily Cricut brand but Cricut products that we use in our craft room every single day I would love to hear from you now if you're still here watching this video sound off in the
