Looking for his second major and 11th win on the tour. There's his dad. He knows it's
all but over. But I guess if you're gonna get away with one this is the time to do
it. As you can see he's gonna need two. I like his chances. Two pins to win in the
10th frame is all Kyle Troup needs. That's if Simonson strikes out. Take a look right
there. That's all you need to see. It's over. Yeah, it's been over. Kyle knows it. Simonson
knows it. This crowd knows it. Title number 11. Major number 2. US Open number 1 for Kyle Troup.
Two, baby!
Our old tournament director of the late, great Harry Golden used to always call it the most enviable position.
Needing only one win to capture the title. Right?
And that's how you do it. You eat your dad knows. Well, ironically, you mentioned Harry Golden.
PBA Rookie of the Year 2012-13 winning the Harry Golden Award. Right there. DJ Tackett.
A little sigh of relief there. That's exactly what it is. It's not so much elation as it is relief.
He knows he has the game to be a major champion. Now he's walked through the door.
His only coach, his dad. Well, we began this show with four major champions.
The only one who didn't have one was the guy at the top of the step ladder. And that's finished.
Because DJ Tackett is a major champion. Thank you. Thank you so much.
Let's not forget Player of the Year race, right? I mean, DJ Tackett, red hot start, three wins.
Anthony Simonson just threw his hat in the Player of the Year race.
Needs nine pins to shut out Martel.
One in Wichita. This is about to be win number two.
For the title. He's got it. Anthony Simonson wins the 2023 USBC Masters.
A champion again. A major champion again.
The satisfying moment of the match sponsored by Snickers. Nothing satisfies like a Snickers.
Simonson, sensational at Allent Park today.
Somebody got something for me.
Simo, looking good.
Great shot. Bang, bang.
And he knows it. He knows that's title 11.
One stick seals the deal.
And let's be honest, he dominated this week.
My goodness, 250 a clip in the qualifying portion. Just the sound of that ball striking is different.
Striking the lane, striking the pins, coming back, it even comes mean out of the ball return.
It doesn't matter at this point. Go south, young man.
Exactly. Throw the ball south.
Jesper Svensson, Dave Swann's best of the best champion.
11th career PVA Tour title.
It's about time to celebrate, my friend.
Prather, the smile is about to erupt.
Another strike. They're announcing over his shots.
It doesn't matter. Chris Prather, you've waited for this one, kid.
That trophy is yours in just seconds.
Asked him today, what would that first major mean?
Hey, it's the culmination of the last two years of success.
It's confirmation that I'm continuing to get better, getting better.
I'm climbing up that hill. I'm becoming one of the best in this sport.
And Chris Prather is your TOC champion.
One more for 280.
Boy, did he make a mockery of this oil pad.
Four of the greatest on the planet could manage no more than two 200 games.
He shoots 280 to last.
He saved his best for last.
You can now call Chris Prather a major champion.
