BACKPACKING THE APPALACHIAN TRAIL (in a lightning storm) | Carvers Gap to US 19E
I backpacked 18 miles along one of the most beautiful stretches of the Appalachian Trail – hiking in the rain, camping in a lightning storm, and experiencing the idyllic Roan Highlands with my mom and our dog, Mojo!
Carvers Gap to US 19E is about 16 miles total and a super popular backpacking trip. We ended up hiking a few miles extra because of an unexpected turn of events... you'll have to watch to see what happened. 😳
