If you're reading this comment, "YOU WERE NEVER SECOND BEST!"
hey it's Jackie and welcome back to my channel for today's tutorial I have an
epic Lara Jean from to all the boys I've loved before makeup hair and outfit
inspiration video I was inspired to film this 1. because I loved the movie and
2. because I found this amazing print on Twitter and I ordered it for myself
and I just love the layout of all of the outfits so I will have a link down below
to this print so you can go to the artist shop and get it if you want it or
maybe a gift for a friend Christmas I think it's super cute for fans of the
movie and I don't normally dabble in style so please let me know if you like
the setup of this video I am in my new apartment so it is totally film
differently and I hope you enjoy it this is a long intro but if you love TV and
movie recreations be sure to subscribe so you don't miss any of my tutorials
bring the little bell notification button and lets get started.. oh I dare you
to comment your first all-consuming crushes name... I'll do it - lets go...
comment down below and who lets get started! I love this first style so I
already have my hair straight and I don't own a straightener right now so I
just blow-dried and then I've seen in my Instagram tutorials sponsored by John
Frieda I just wanted to make sure that my strands are super sleek and the
braids fold well so I'm using the John Frieda secret weapon touch-up cream
through the ends of my strands and then creating two tight braids on either side
I'm doing five stitches of braids and then sectioning off so we have the long
length and before I use the elastic you just want to tug along the hairline so
it isn't too flat and then also along the braid if you don't have super thick
hair and by the way if my hair looks a little bit two-toned I do have temporary
color that is darker but I only did the underside of my head because my scalp
near my hairline was super sensitive so a little random but I wanted to deepen
up my hair a little bit to get more of a similar sleek effect and now to make
this hairstyle more mature and super chic add a mustard color beret
mine is from forever 21 and here is my inspired outfit so start with a
button-down very lara jean and this one is from
American Apparel and then the mini crop top is from Topshop not a perfect match
to her polka dot dress but the exact print and then to tie in the beret I
added some mustard socks from forever 21 and then it boots from Lulu's in a
lace-up style similar to her first day look obviously this is not a
transformation video but I did create a similar makeup style that I think is
super cute for the eyes Laura Jane had what looked to me like cream eyeshadows
that faded upwards and outwards with depth along the outer lash line and into
the crease I love using the Charlotte Tilbury cream shadows because they
finished to a powder and really don't budge you can apply them with a brush
and to bring in the brightness I'm using benefits highbrow over the first portion
of the eye above the crease and then in the tear duct and directly under the
lash line and we're gonna create a smiling eye effect to add in some depth
I took another cream shadow this is by the brand RMS beauty and I'm fading this
deeper bronzy brown in the lash line fading into a straight V and using some
of that cream shadow under the brightening highbrow this is enhancing
at the slight a puffy pocket underneath the lash line and it's super popular in
k-pop stars and is totally cute comment in the poll if you would try out this
makeup style add some liquid liner through the lash line and I'm not
tapering it out to a wing
it looked like Lara Jean had some really pretty lash extensions accentuating the
outer portion of our eye but for me I just went with some outer corner lashes
and I'm prepping my lips with this okay korean cat and bear lip balms i actually
have quite a collection of cute makeup like this so let me know if you want to
see these brands incorporated into more tutorials and for blush i went with a
deeper rosy shade and while normally i apply higher on the cheeks i applied
lower today's sweeping under my cheekbones i lined it with stone
lipliner for mac one of my faves and then you can use Burt's Bees a clinic
chubby stick for a similar texture I personally love these yl balms and
there's the quick inspired look but of blended out shadow liner lashes plummy
toned cheeks and lips and let's continue with more hairstyle for hair look to the
kitty crown braid we are again creating two braids start by lace braiding from
your part to your ear this means like a normal French braid but you're only
gonna bring in the hair from the front section each time this will make it
easier to wrap the hair around the head without creating bumps at the back and
it's just faster than doing a complete French braid and then incorporate all
the hair into a simple braid as far as you can down to the end of your length
occurring with a small elastic repeat on the other side of course I
pulled out the braid a tiny bit so it's easier to pin but Laura's were pretty
tight so you can skip this step take the end of the pony and wrap under and over
using a couple bobby pins to secure in place hiding them as best as you can and
then on the other side lay over the first braid so that they cross over at
the back and pin and this look is all about accessorizing we've got some faux
lenses these are from forever 21 but they did have dark black around the
whole lens and I used pliers and took the bottom portion away and then glued
the lens back in so yeah I was a little bit of a DIY and again I couldn't find a
gold choker so I use this ribbon I thought it was kind of cute if I had
created a better looking bow with the bag and here's a breakdown of the whole
outfit inspired by Laura Jane at the dance when we have the flash back we
can't forget her gold pendant I got this one at birth so that's kind of cool and
this off the shoulder top is from Topshop I had a jean tee from Zara that
I cut the sleeves off of and I personally don't love wearing boxy vests
I love vest and have a collection of them but I decided to go with this a
flowy fabric that was a little less boxy a skirt is from Zara kids if you're ever
looking for very specific items at the mall don't rule out the kids accessories
or even if you're on the smaller side the clothes
Laura wore a long tulle skirt but I actually would wear this one and I think
it's cute with the shorter length with a pair of heels and I never would have put
this look together myself but I think it's pretty dang cute all together this
next look was seen for like point five seconds in the movie but I thought it
was different and cute so put your hair into two high pigtails a little bit
towards the back of your head
and now brave these pigtails and fan-out while leaving a portion of the hair
straight and begin to wrap the braid around the base and once it's in the bun
shape wrap those ends directly around and pin with bobby pins
then just tug on the braid to create that cute bun shape on top of the
wrapped round hair add more bobby pins if needed and originally I was
regretting doing this one because I did not love this button-up plaid shirt on
me but then when you add the oversized green jacket it totally worked so to
complete this whole style I wore these retro looking pants from ModCloth and
large and style is very mod cloth so definitely check out their site if you
haven't already and I rolled these jeans up added some maroon socks and these
vintage boots I found
in this town
we can't forget the simple ponytail so this one's pretty self-explanatory just
brush out your hair and flip it upside down into a high pony and I'm using a
smoothing brush to make it a bit easier and then tying off of the black hair
elastic you can even double up the hair elastics if your hair is quite a bit
thicker and then I like to fan it out if you do have a couple little bumps and
don't have a lot of time to redo the style just take a comb and use the back
and push the bumps to the base of the pony to camouflage them a bit better and
originally I wasn't gonna include this outfit because it isn't a perfect match
with the turtleneck but this top was so cheap it was from Charlotte Russe and I
saw it and there's so many similar stylist at forever 21 right now and this
whole outfit I think is a lot easier to replicate without it being too much of a
copy you just need a stripe top and keep the tones a more mustard and slightly
muted rather than bright and neon and a light wash jean button-down skirt or
this one is a pleated skirt from forever 21 that I love again with the matching
socks and vintage boots and with our hair in this pony it lets recreate the
iconic first day back at school look you'll need a bow scrunchie my favorite
scrunchies are from Lululemon and then a gray tee with a plaid shirt this one I
did find thrifty also another poll I love thrifting and
I've got a lot of stuff for my videos recently through secondhand stores so
would you guys want to see a thrifting haul or not really let me know if you
think it would suit my channel and then for shorts hers were originally from a
ritzy app however you can find these super comfy still school appropriate
shorts if your school has a dress code from American Eagle and I love these
they're really flattering and super comfy the high socks adds such a cool
touch with the lace-up boots again from Lulu's and I'll have as many of these
outfit items or similar Styles linked below so be sure to check that out and
then the final ponytail style is my favorite that I would have worn already
and it's just a fitted white or cream top with a high neckline a cute leather
backpack this one is from Billabong and I also have one from Roxy so they're
great brands to find a cute backpacks from I love this corduroy red skirt from
forever 21 online I saw in stores they do have a button-up style similar and
then I don't have converse set but I do have vans in this maroon shade that I
thought completed they look great and I'm just taming any flyaways and then we
got the last style that I personally loved as well and it was large Ian at
the bar with her dad I mean diner she was she was at the diner hidden can I
just say I loved the dad they were so sweet together
but anyways once you have the hair in this ponytail just lightly twist going
one way and wrap in a bun shape and once you've got to the front again I just
pulled the end through the center loop
and then pin the end bringing it over and then under to recreate the shape and
I loosened up the front bit for that cute flopping detail like she had adding
an extra hold hairspray from og axe and I love their new ranges of stylers you
can check out a bunch more looks that I recreated from another Netflix movie at
the kissing booth linked in the information button and this top is from
American Eagle sweater from shop rush calm which isn't online anymore and it
was my favorite online shop but I'll have something similar link down below
and then these comfy jeans are also American Eagle I never wear jeans
because I find them so uncomfortable but these are amazing
then for shoes I added these cute loafers and I don't like loafers but
these have a bit of a girly touch to them so they're from ModCloth
and I really like them ModCloth has really cool shoes so let me know in the
comments which hole style was your favorite
I hope you enjoyed this large gene from to all the boys I've loved before
tutorial and if you did make sure you give it a thumbs up and subscribe so you
don't miss out on any beauty videos and I love when you guys tag me when you try
out any of these styles because I love reposting you in my videos so here are a
couple of my favorite recreations recently and oh my gosh I'm going crazy
it is 2:00 a.m. I have some seriously spaced out footage of me coming up at
the end if you want to see some tragic bloopers but I thought I could be a DIY
er today and turns out I hate glue guns I hate them
my fingers are blistered but I did make this cute box I can't share the DIY the
I can't cut a straight line basically it turned out cute from this angle but like
the whole rest of its a mess but I will have link down below how to decorate a
hat box because once you know how to like cut the fabric or the paper I think
if you're really easy to try to recreate it and do better job than I could but
yeah I just love this movie so much and if you do want to stay updated with me
on Instagram then you can follow me at Jackie wires and I do have a John free
to giveaway of going on there right now so check it out and I'll see you in my
next video I am so impatient with DIY like my scissor cutter but my lines when
I cut my cut that I line what's happening to me
