When Je-sus heard that John had been put in pris-on,
He with-drew to Gal-i-lee.
And leav-ing Naz-a-reth,
He came and dwelt in Ca-per-na-um,
which is by the sea,
in the re-gions of Zeb-u-lun and Naph-ta-li,
to ful-fill what was said through the proph-et I-sa-iah:
“The land of Zeb-u-lun,
and the land of Naph-ta-li,
By the way of the sea,
be-yond Jor-dan,
Gal-i-lee of the Gen-tiles:
The peo-ple who sat in dark-ness have seen a great light,
and to them which sat in the re-gion and
shad-ow of death light is sprung up.
From that time Je-sus be-gan to preach and to say,
“Re-pent, for the king-dom of heav-en is at hand.”
