How to make a Delphinium Wreath with a Moss Base |Sneak Peek into my Design Group

[Music] hey y'all all right so we're going to be doing a wreath with delphiniums look at this wreath base I found at a Carolina Pottery can you see that it is the coolest thing it's a metal frame and it has like some kind of Vine on it and then of course it has the moss on it it's really very tough but wasn't that bad it was like $15 it's large let's see how big it is okay it is 22 in by like 22 by 18 it's very messy but it is very pretty isn't that pretty so I thought this was super cool we haven't done one like this before so I thought this would be really cool so I had this idea because this is such a large base we're going to use large flowers so these are delphiniums aren't they pretty and what I want to do I've already cut some of them up I have them in blue two colors of blue and a green so I already cut some of those and we're going to kind of frame it I also have some for cyia and I don't know if we will use any of um wild flowers or not we'll see but I know for sure we're using these all right so I actually picked out a Sam's Club ribbon to go with it can you see it it's really pretty it's very light springy and Airy the the blues don't match exactly but it's not going to matter it'll work out just fine we're going to go ahead and make our bow because what I want to do is incorporate the bow into the whole design so with that in mind we're going to do that first okay I want long tails let's say about 30 in so first we're just going to have some 30in Tails there we go okay then I want to do maybe like 28 [Music] in okay there see this also has yellow and purple in it okay so we did 30 then 28 now let's do 26 okay there we go we're going to start our Loops so we're going to do I think 6 in let's see yeah that's good six inch Loop all right so 6 in it's really about six and a half we're going to do nine Loops so nine or 11 let me see what nine looks like okay four five six seven eight nine I think nine will be good okay see which one is our short one right there okay so when I I do um a bow with just one ribbon I like to do an odd number of Loops it just seems to work out really well okay all right so we'll just get our zip tie in here this is a super simple bow to make too I'm just going to use one of these to get the bow in all right so I'm using this because this is very difficult it's very tough so it's going to take effort to get things in it you could use um a little styrofoam on it but I was going to try to see if I could do it without having to add in all right so I just want to pull these apart real quick okay we want it to be very loose and loopy kind of sounds funny but okay all right okay all right I want to put the bow like right about here okay so we're going to push it through here yeah that works well so the wire works really well okay there we go okay there we go all right these Tails we're just going to kind of [Music] organize I want to make sure I have the different lengths like one on this side one on this side for now because we're going to kind of incorporate it in so this is how we're going to do this oh and I have some I got this really pretty Greenery at Carolina Pottery look how pretty this is look at that a't that pretty so we're probably going to put some of that in we're going to start with the delphinium so we're going to start and we're going to start up we're going to go up like this and then we're going to go down let's see we're going to start kind of right under the bow there all right and yep it's going to be tall very tall and I'll have to check the back to make sure it doesn't come through cuz this is the back of it is kind of um open but I will do that okay so some of them I will make shorter so that I can kind of put on the inside here there now these here are about 17 in Long here we go I am cutting off a few inches for this top part there we go oh that's pretty yeah I think putting some Greenery behind it's going to help keep them where I want them to go righty I just want to get the um kind of the the line established first and then we're going to come in and start to add in more we're going to kind of start with putting them in and getting that line established and then I think I'm just going to put all these over here for now and then we will work on adding more in okay so we have to come you always want to make sure you come out to the side as well so it'll be nice and balanced okay this is about 13 in long okay all right now we're going to start going down [Music] okay all right I'm trying to just mix up the colors a little okay oh this is pretty already all right kind of Bend in those a little bit okay there all right now let's put some of this Greenery in this Greener is going to kind of go underneath it's kind of spread out there so I want it to be spread out so it'll fill in Holes and kind of give us a nice backdrop I like this this is very airy this is going to be good there goes that [Music] train up a little okay The Greenery is great for filler but these delphiniums are actually a really good price it SS okay spread that out oops okay I want to put this in here there we go okay so you can see all I did was kind of put the greenery underneath all the florals okay right that out okay all right now I'm going to take kind of shorten some of it that so I can put in here there we go there we go we don't want any thing that's GNA oh it came right off the stick hold on let get that right back on M I can't see it okay here we go there okay I was trying to bend it up and it just kind of like came off okay I need another one right in here put in there okay there we go perfect all right now we're going to put some in the where the bow is okay now I want to take see are these the three I want yeah just got to bring it out like that okay all righty okay think I need one down at the bottom and then we're going to use the other two in the bow okay right in here there we go okay now these going to go in the bow go ooh they're so pretty right you know you know I think I'm going to break this up because I could get more out of it okay let's do that so what I'm going to do is just put some glue on this end so that the pieces won't come off there this way I can get several pieces out of it okay kind of go in here spread it okay yes yes okay do the same thing with this one so this top half there it goes okay let's get glue on this let it dry okay okay okay that's beginning all right now we're going to put in this one these are stuck stuck try not to pull it too hard because I know I'll pull it right off I'm notoriously bad at that boy that is tough to get in there it is worth it though it's such a pretty frame okay all right so we're going to put some more of these in start to kind of fill some in here there okay oh how pretty is that I love that that's pretty okay there we go now I want to take these curl them up Place one kind of underneath there that curl this one up there okay this one down here that okay okay now we're going to put some down in here kind of around these ribbons okay y i nabbed myself with that one okay here we go okay there okay okay put that one right around there there we go okay how fun is this okay now I need to put some going inside here Lord I am notoriously bad about pulling these little things off I'll find it later these I just want curl on the inside here this one I may put here okay blue one that's it isn't it that's it for these delphiniums oh no wait I got one more okay these do not want to stay in place so we're just going to let them hang for right now okay I've got one more so let's put that one let's see this needs to go I don't like how that's standing move that there we go better okay there we go okay sorry belly let's put this one right in here okay it's really thick right in there there okay oh that is so fun all right I want to put some yellow in okay okay okay don't like that up there there we go okay I need to cut it down side here that just brings in a really pretty pop of color h all right let's do [Music] another on the side here okay oh that's so pretty there we go these small ones put in here here there I don't know what am I do with these I'm not liking the way they're looking in here so we're just going to set them down for right now figure out what we want to do with them whoops pull off the table I haven't decided if I'm using you yet okay think I need to I'm trying to cut it at an angle so I can see if I can get it in a little better that's better okay all right then we can take this look little piece put it down in here go I want to put a little this on the metal part here we go there I may just trim these two off just kind of have them in there I like that better okay I want to put just a little bit of yellow kind of in here there perfect oh I love this this is nice and wild let's hang this up and see if we need to do anything oh how pretty is that all right let's see that one's a little too long we need a little something right there but you can see that one up there is too long that one might be a tad long this one and this one so let's fix those okay it does help if you will hang them so you can kind of see a little better all right so we need to cut this one down let's do that yeah that's better much better this one is a tad long so we're just going to shorten it a little it does help there now we got it okay so here kind of need something I don't think that would do it enough that's better that's better okay all right let's try that again there that's much better oh that one's still too long but we'll fix that all right Tails I think I just want to have them kind of draping down do that what do you think belly I have a couple curling I like that one this one though just gon to cut no I'd rather cut it there that's better okay now I can move this around there we go that's better oh much better okay there we go there oh that's much better okay there we go okay that's what I want there there we go there much better okay yeah all right now let's deal with this tail okay just better yeah like that I don't think I want to put the the purple in I wish I had one more Delphinium for right there I think it's good defitely have to hang it up to see it okay C you see help if I came down a little whoops not that way okay wow this is huge look how pretty that is this is like as tall as me that's fun a't that fun so you could add in the wild flower but I think that that would just be too much I think the way it is is so with the flowers on it let me see how white it is let's see about 28 in and it is about 36 in tall I think that turned out so pretty so it just kind of gives you an idea of what you can do with some delphiniums I just think they're gorgeous and they're fun and they're really big and I think they can be kind of intimidating but don't be intim to just you know make it come off of the frame because that's what's going to make it look so good well this is fun isn't this a cool frame this is the coolest frame I love this Frame y'all have a great night I'll see y'all later bye y'all [Music]
