Hi guys, my name is Tomas and I'm a winetuber and today I'm going to talk about the best non-alcoholic white wines available in Ireland.
Yes, non-alcoholic guys. There's a majority of people actually they don't drink for some reasons. You might be a designated driver.
Sorry about that. You might be pregnant. If so,
congratulations. You might be sick and for some reasons you can't drink. If so, I'm really sorry to hear about that.
Then you might do some dry January.
This is always your choice. And finally, you might don't drink at all like my mom. So fair play to you, mom.
Guys, if you'd like to know how the non-alcoholic wines are made, how the non-alcoholic wines taste,
how much they cost and where to get them, make sure you watch this video until the end.
So guys, there's three main techniques how actually the alcohol is removed from the wine.
So the first one is called reverse osmosis.
So it's a cross-flow filtration system. So wine is going through very fine filters and then
alcohol it separates from the wine. So this is the simplest way to explain how actually
reverse osmosis system it works.
So guys, the second technique, it's called vacuum distillation.
So wine is transferred to distillation column to extract the aromas.
And then it's going a second time through the column in order to remove the alcohol.
So guys, technique number three, it's spinning column-column.
So spinning column rotating at a very high speed to separate the alcohol from the juice.
That always takes place in a very low temperature to keep the freshness and aromas of the alcohol.
So that's why most of the wine we're gonna taste for you now are made by using technique called spinning column-column.
So guys, time for the verdict. I just tasted six wines. Three of them are sparkling, three of them are still.
The highest score that each one you can get is a hundred points.
So let's start with the fourth place because two wines get exactly the same score.
And the third place is the one with the highest score.
So one of them is wine called Torri. This is Hungarian Fourmint.
On the notes, according to my tasting notes, wine was full of stone fruits dominated by pear.
On the palate, medium sweet, medium plus acidity.
Wine is sparkling, have a light body.
85 points, this is the final score. Wine is imported by Classic Drinks and the retail price is 9.95.
The second wine which is getting exactly the same score, wine is called Zetta.
This is French Chardonnay. On the notes, I get some tropical notes dominated by pineapple.
On the palate, wine was medium acidic, light in body and slightly disappointing in terms of aftertaste.
I was really optimistic on the notes, but on the palate was a little bit flat.
So final score is 85 points. Wine is imported by Holland and Barrett and the retail price is 7.95 for this particular one.
Third place, guys. Again, two wines get exactly the same score. I'm gonna start with the Spanish wine.
This is Naturero. This is Spanish wine produced by Torres. Great variety, it's Muscat.
On the notes, I get some green apples and peach.
On the palate, wine is medium acidic, medium dry, light in body.
Final score is 87 points. Wine is imported by Finlayters and the retail price is 7.95.
Now, the second wine which is getting exactly the same score is called Einzweizer.
This is a German Riesling. On the notes, I get some lime, quince and tachogonality.

Lovely lime aftertaste and quite short finish. However, very, very good wine.
87 points. That's the final score. Wine is imported by Mike Kenways and the retail price is 12.95.
Second place, guys. So the second place got Fritz Müller.
This is a German wine produced from a great variety called Müller Thurgau.
So, on the notes, notes was medium plus intensity. I get very lovely zesty aromas and touch of minerality.
On the palate, wine is off dry with fantastic acidity. Very, very important.
This wine has nearly 50 grams of sugar per liter, but acidity really balances that sweetness.
Wine is medium body with medium finish. 89 points.

Finally, the best non-alcoholic white wine available in Ireland.
It's called Einzweizerer Sparkling Riesling.

which is very characteristic for the Riesling grape variety.
