Boston Celtics vs Los Angeles Lakers - Full Game Highlights | January 23, 2025 | 2024-25 NBA Season

They're on a historic pace in terms of shooting that three-point shot. 49 a game as Christie, this is the second three here for the Lakers, get the first one to go down here. And the Lakers the other way, they beat Washington here by 23, up high, and it's Davis on the feed from Reeves. And we're not saying that the Lakers have to shoot 49 threes a game like Boston does. Another back-to-back threes here by Jay Brown. Celtics are a healthy team and that was emphasized tonight when we talked to Joe Mizzoula. Down low, mismatch, Reeves will defend, Perzingis with ease. But J.J. Reddick says... Christie the other way, into wide, knocked away by Holliday. Holliday's defense ever-present. The other way, Tatum, into Brown, and Perzingis. But you live with that, right? It's pick your poison if you're going to play Boston. They're already four of six from downtown and J.J. Reddick says, look, we've got to get them top twos. Al Horford just off the bench, throws up a three. Hachimura will chase it down. Gabe Vinson has come in for the Lakers. Davis pounded as he drives and gets it to go. LeBron is on the bench, resting right now for L.A. Reeves. Long three. Wow, you're right about that. That was a good 28-29 footer there. I don't think what gets talked about enough are the men and women and first responders who are putting everything on the line. Beautiful move there by LeBron James. Under two to go here in the first quarter. Backing into Hauser. With that fadeaway, James is at another one with a 15-4 run. LeBron two straight and six. James is coming off a triple-double here Tuesday against Washington. Ninth of the season. Works on Cornett. Shot clock at four. Drives in and throws down a switch hammer. Oh, LeBron. Probably the sixth man of the year so far. Maybe the most improved player as well. Driving is Tatum. Reeves in the way. Kicks to Pritchard. Triple. Nice shot by Peyton Pritchard. Remarkable numbers. Ninth triple-double, second most in the NBA, and he's 40 years old. He goes against Cornett, and a 19-footer is pure. And he'll kick to Reeves. Finds a gap. Cutting is James with another haymaker. In defense of their title. Holliday drives hard inside. Perzingis will clean it up. Boy, is he active inside and out. And Perzingis with 15 for the Celtics. Gabe Vincent. Good feet. To Connett. What a throw. And a pass inside by Anthony Davis. And Tatum. An approaching three to play in the first half. He'll dance on Connett. And try to manufacture something and does with a pretty play inside. Tatum gets it to go. 17 points, Perzingis. Anthony Davis. Corner three. Hachimura. And he'll come the other way with the gallop into Christie. It's off to Holliday. Sets. Fires. Three. Bullseye. And shooting 50% themselves. James. That was over Perzingis. Rebound Davis. Fouled. Count it. As the Celtics went two of 14 from beyond the arc. And here's a three to start things off. And that's the right way with Jalen Brown. Davis is on Brown. Brown will position and lean in from two-point range. And picked up by Jalen. Out to Perzingis. A three. Good. But tonight, White. One of three from three and one of five overall shooting for Boston. Shot clock at seven. Back up three. Tatum. Book it. We're gonna need a lot more of that. Holliday with the board and will take it the other way. And numbers if you want it. For the Celtics. It's White. Down low. Brown. Cross court. Tatum. Step back. Three. Got it. Okay. Back to back. Here they go. 36% shooting for the Celtics. Nice feed inside. Tatum to Horford. One-point lead early on by the Celtics. That's been in under two to go in the third. Inside Hayes. Over the reach of Perzingis. Tatum. Reeves will defend. LeBron may hedge. 20-footer. Tatum. Count it. Chasing Tatum. It's Austin Reeves. Career numbers for him. LeBron from 20. LeBron James has put in his 14th point. Sizing him up is Jalen Brown. Takes it in in the finals. MVP. Got it. With a nice move inside and a rainbow and a foul. Let's go to nba.com or visit the NBA app. How's your three? And maybe, just maybe, that'll get things started. They might. The bench hasn't done much tonight for Boston. Here is LeBron nudging his way into Pritchard. Carving his space and got it to go. James continues. If the Lakers go on to win, it would tie their most games over .506 this season. How's your three? Got it. Back-to-back threes here by Hauser. That's all it takes. LeBron. Yes. Who do you think number two would be? Michael. Karl Malone. It's Davis inside. Point blank range. Number three. So the white flag has been thrown in here by Joe Mizzoula. Springer inside. But to do it against the defending champs in the first meeting this season. Impressive. Springer takes it in and puts up a 14-footer. They're gonna have to carve out some minutes. With losing records. This season they were 12-1. But against teams with winning records, Reed's three is in. What a long-range marksman shot that was. Connect is on Springer. Chittenden-Springer will drive and Keita is in there and Koloko will defend. Nice move there by Keita. Good footwork. Went on a mini-heater there in that second quarter. It's a Springer three. Yeah, they gotta find time. I know Joe Mizzoula, they love his intensity and what he does defensively. But if he can knock down that three consistently, he's gotta be on the floor for a little bit. Not major minutes. And the years are rebuilding ahead. The boy, the spirit, you come into this town and it's just palpable. Connect. The spirit of the people in this season. Six games, over 500. As the Celtics will have their second lowest point total of the season tonight on the road in Los Angeles.
