Please share this with somebody who could use it! Life is full of ups and downs, crashes and conquests. When life (and moto) beats you down with injuries or stress, sometimes the trick is to remember the great times to help push through the pain, and have faith it will get better. Enjoy!
Life is hard sometimes. Like really hard. Hard enough that maybe in some twisted way it doesn't
seem like it'll get any better. Like maybe it'll just get worse. Maybe it would be better if we
just stopped living. There's pain. That's just part of it. We all hurt sometimes. Some a lot
more than others. But while we all experience it in different ways to different degrees,
it's not some macabre competition with a trophy for who suffers the most.
Instead it can become a way to connect and empathize because pain is pretty universal.
When you're in pain it's the worst in the world. It consumes our focus and our perspective and
our whole present existence. Sometimes during the low parts in our lives we feel as if it
will never get better. That we'll forever be stuck in this miserable rut. But it does get
better doesn't it? You'd think that we'd learn that even though there is pain life is pretty
awesome. That not only will the pain subside in time but that deep down we know that the pain is
good for us. The existence of hurt allows us to empathize with others. To connect as human beings.
To bond in ways that comfortable moments just can't compare. It makes us stronger. And not in
some tacky weightlifting cliche but it literally shifts our paradigm by focusing us to contrast
the pain with just how good we have it the rest of the time. We need to remember that weathering
the storm doesn't always mean ending the pain. Sometimes it means remembering the joy while we
push through the pain. And ironically remembering the pain when we're experiencing joy amplifies
that joy through gratitude and makes an experience all that much sweeter. So if you know me you know
I've been in some pain recently. Not the first time and in a weird way hopefully it's not the
last but like any pain it hurts. And there have been days when I've felt that it just won't get
better. And so here's a little reminder for myself more than anybody of just how excellent life has
been to me. And just how good it'll be again once this little rain cloud passes.
I can't hear you. I don't fear you now.
Batching your regret. What a waste of blood and sweat.
I want to taste love and pain. Want to feel pride and shame. I don't want to take my one life's
pain. I don't want to live as an unsung melody. I'd rather listen to the silence inside of me. I can't hear you. I fear you.
Off camber and that's the consequence.
that made your day a little bit better. And if you know somebody in some pain maybe that would
make their day a little better if you shared with them. Make sure to hit that subscribe button if
