Or the first time I went to the hospital
I was having complications with my
pregnancy
the doctors tried to stop my
contractions but they didn't stop my son
came premature from 7 months to 30
weeks I went home suffering for a
week I couldn't get up The stairs,
I couldn't eat, I felt really bad,
I couldn't breathe properly, and then
I felt terrible and decided to call and
make an appointment to see what was
going on. They immediately
sent me to the hospital and they did another
x-ray of my lungs. and it was
tuberculosis and then everything started
immediately they gave me a
medicine then
my lung failed and they had to operate on me
[Music]
after that I was intubated for a
week and then they had surgery
to open me
up to connect me to a
machine to be able to breathe because I
couldn't let go
[Music]
it was a very depressive stage because I
couldn't do anything with my family or with my
baby who had just been born to me after all
that when they finally let me
leave the hospital they diagnosed my
son with tuberculosis And then I
felt really bad because I wanted him
to be healthy. He wants me to grow
strong and I didn't know if that was going to
affect me, from there he started his treatment for
active tuberculosis, that treatment lasted
six months since I completed my
tuberculosis treatment, I feel
that I am more grateful for my health
because people really don't know how much What
is health until you have it?
The reason why I want to give my
testimonies for the health of my son. He
barely turned one year old and he had
no after-effects and now he is a
normal, healthy child like any very
happy baby. I would like my community to know.
that tuberculosis is curable, that
anyone can catch it, it doesn't
matter if you're rich or poor,
tuberculosis doesn't discriminate
