To learn Russian is like climbing a very high mountain.
The process takes a very long time, but then, in the end, the view will be just incredibly beautiful.
I have been learning Russian for 6 years, so I have 11 tips for you that you can use to learn Russian easier and faster.
The first tip is that you should walk along this mountain every day.
It means that you should constantly climb.
And in this metaphor, to climb means to speak Russian, just to practice speaking.
Because too many people make the mistake when they just study grammar, learn a new vocabulary,
and just focus on all sorts of other things, but in the end they don't speak.
And speaking is what you study Russian for.
You should speak every day and climb this mountain of Russian every day.
The second tip is that you should understand all the road signs of this Russian mountain.
Because if you don't know what all the signs mean, then you will soon get lost,
because you will not understand what it means to go right, to go left, or it will be dangerous soon.
And this metaphor means that you just have to understand the Russian alphabet very well.
Because there are many people who want to learn Russian and at first think that the Russian alphabet is very difficult,
and therefore they just think, I will just read all the Russian words in Latin letters.
But this is such a pity, because it only complicates the process.
Because the Russian alphabet, to learn it, you just need about an hour or maybe two hours.
So make sure you understand the Russian alphabet, all the road signs of this mountain.
The third tip is that you should always have enough food.
Because food is needed to move on. Because without food there is no energy to move on.
And here, food here means that you must constantly learn new words.
Your vocabulary must grow.
This is because if you want to speak well, you constantly need new words.
Because without words you can't say anything.
Therefore, focus, especially at the beginning, so that you understand, for example,
the first, most often common thousand words in the Russian language.
Because it will help you a lot to speak better.
The fourth tip is that you should have a good guide.
Because without a map, without a guide, it will be very difficult for you to understand where exactly you need to go.
Therefore, do so that if you start learning Russian,
so that you have just one program or just follow one course,
so that you roughly understand where, or so that you know exactly where to spend your efforts.
This is very important, because many people have no plan at all.
Therefore, they just watch some YouTube videos,
then try one course, then try something else, or then read one book.
And in the end, they just move like this everywhere, instead of climbing the mountains normally.
Because with a good guide, it will be much easier for you to understand where to spend your efforts.
And you just reach a much larger process than without it.
If you are lost and do not know where to go next,
then follow the link in the description, where I will show you my guide,
so that you can easily and quickly learn Russian.
The fifth tip is that you should charge at night.
That is, make a camp and sleep well,
so that the next day there will be a lot of energy again to continue climbing this Russian mountain.
With the Russian language, this means that you should study grammar.
But only after you have spoken often and after you have learned new words.
This is because if at the beginning of your journey you focus very much on grammar,
it does not help you very much.
Because at first you have to know quite a lot of vocabulary and practice speaking.
And the further you will be on your journey, the more you will need grammar.
The sixth tip is that you should not try to go too far in one day.
Because very often it happens that people have a lot of motivation,
and then they go so far that then, for example, they rub their legs or muscles hurt.
And then the next day it will be much more difficult to go further.
And maybe it will be impossible to get up at all on your feet.
Therefore, it is much easier to go so far that you are comfortable,
so that the next day there will be more normal energy to go further.
And with the Russian language, the same thing.
It is much better to go and practice every day for 10 minutes,
so that then you understand everything and so that the next day there is still energy to go further.
Than, for example, to study for an hour on one Saturday afternoon,
and then you are so tired of it that you do not want to study at all.
Therefore, do so that you can continue to study the Russian language in the long-term perspective.
The seventh tip is that you must constantly look where you are exactly.
Because if you do not know where you are on the mountain,
then it is very difficult to choose a course further.
And with the Russian language, this means that you must constantly record yourself,
how you speak now, and just find out exactly at what level you are now,
and what steps should be taken further.
Therefore, constantly record yourself so that you understand exactly what accent you have at the moment,
what difficulties you are facing,
so that later it is much easier to choose where to spend your efforts.
My advice is that you must constantly spend any minute, every minute,
to climb the mountain.
This means that you either walk,
you either sleep,
you either eat,
or you look at the map to understand where you are, to go further.
There is a big problem that many people, they want to climb,
they want to study the Russian language,
but at the same time they are doing some other things.
For example, if a person is watching TV shows in his native language,
it means that all this time, when he watches TV shows in his native language,
he could spend it to watch them in Russian.
Or when a person goes to work by car, for example, half an hour a day,
and he just listens to the radio or just some podcast,
he could just listen to a Russian-language podcast or Russian audio lessons.
And this makes sure that all the time that is in one day,
which you could spend on other things,
to spend everything to climb the mountain,
so that your Russian language improves.
The ninth tip is that if you see a short path,
then walk along it.
Because if you see that, for example, the map shows that you have to walk like this,
but you see that all people, all travelers before you,
they walked like this, that is, they took a short path,
you should also walk along it.
With Russian, it means that you can swallow all the ends of Russian words.
For example, when there is a path, and you do not exactly know what path there should be,
just say it shorter and faster,
do not put emphasis there,
so that everyone still does not...
so that it is not 100% heard exactly what the end was there.
Because it helps a lot, and Russian speakers,
speakers of the Russian language, they do the same thing.
And it just helps you speak better in Russian
and sound more like a speaker of the Russian language.
The tenth tip is that you should not worry at first
because of the lack of oxygen at the top of the mountain.
This means that many people at the beginning of their journey
think that they need an excellent accent to speak Russian.
And if their accent is not quite good,
then they do not need to say at all that it is better to work on the accent first.
But this is completely wrong, because the accent only becomes important
when you rise higher on the mountain.
Because at the beginning it is much more important
just to learn words, often practice speaking,
learn some grammar,
and so that you feel comfortable speaking Russian.
And only then, when you feel comfortable,
you can worry about your accent.
And the eleventh tip is
do not stop climbing this Russian mountain.
Because there were so many people before you
who have gone through the same path that you are also trying to go through.
That if you just follow the normal map,
if you know where to go,
and how to do it,
then you too can be at the top of this Russian mountain.
