Christian Kukuk and Checker 47 | $500,000 Rolex CSI5* Grand Prix | Wellington International
Just you don't know what to do. It's tough.
But I know one thing for sure. This young man is gonna give everything he has
to bring that win home to Germany tonight.
World number 20, Christian Kuckuck of Germany, checker 47, riding for the wonderful owner Madeline Winterschotz here as well.
Last to go in the Rolex Grand Prix.
It is McLean Ward that leads 36-4, but this pair have all the ability and has the
legendary three-time gold medalist Luca Bierbaum on the floor, giving assistance as well.
Can they do it or is it going to the US?
Good turn to the wall. He gave himself a little more room to the wall there to keep the forward momentum.
A little deep coming in. Oh, I don't know. Here he's gonna have to take some risks. Whoa.
Oh, he risked it.
The crowd is cheering.
Squeaking with excitement.
36-4 to beat. He's got a very good chance, a very, very good chance. Christian Kuckuck coming home.
Christian Kuckuck, checker 47, just pushes out McLean Ward for the top spot. There's going to be a happy Bierbaum.
