Your turn shape's getting better today. Remember the drawing you made inside,
like a C, like the letter C? I want to see those turns deep. Don't switch to your new
two edges too soon. Hang with the turn a little longer. As a coach, I could never replicate or
manufacture all of the balance adjustments necessary to ski these moguls with speed
under control. Yeah, keep it going. That's good. Way to regain your balance.
Sheesh. I was wondering when you were going to get tired.
Wow. I love how you got out of balance and you fought for your balance and you kept going,
taking it down the hill in an inspirational way, fast, cat-like, athletic. Are you rested?
So just there, I mentioned everything that I want to see more of from Hogan. That's my coaching
style. Focusing on the positive, focusing on what I want to see more of. And look,
I think that we're getting it. He's rocking it. Nice line. Yeah. Well done.
Get forward. Work forward into the cup of that boot. That gets you to the ski tip, remember?
Yeah. I see some picket fence. Nice foot-to-foot action, tipping.
Can you tip and get to the front of the boot?
Javelin. With the javelins, we're working on balancing with the outside ski,
not looking for mastery at this age, at nine years old. Repetition. Okay, good effort. Now,
let's see the falling leaf. Keep looking downhill. Where are the bumps? Once I've worked with an
athlete enough and I've trust their judgment, I ask them to ski the bumps as inspired, as fast
as they can, while in control. Hogan's arms are flailing around a little bit. We're working on
that. But all of the balance and instinct that is being gained is what I'm looking for.
So here, instead of telling Hogan what he's doing wrong with his arms, I'm giving him something to
do with his arms. That's going to help with separation. It's going to help with upper body
and arm control. I'm so scared, dude. I know. Hey, nice skiing. Watch. Okay, hang on to your head.
Hi. Hi. Okay. And explode. Get your skis across the hill.
Explosive turning, explosive jumping.
That was explosive turning of your legs. Explosive jumping. Best yet. Whoa.
Whoa. Thanks for the example, Wilson. Now, don't roll from edge to edge too quickly.
Stay with your turn, just a hair longer, okay? Art, get up.
Okay, good. I love it. Let's see that. Where are your super G hands? There you go. That's it. Oh,
wow. Your hands are all over the place. That's better. Super G hands.
I learned about super G hands from John Leffler. Thank you for that, John.
