ladies and gentlemen this is Joe's
classic video games back with another
cool arcade game jukebox video for you
today now if you didn't see the series
where we fixed this baby
up look below we will have all of that
linked we we got this in a while back
did a lot of repairs on it work through
it and I've now got it playing and
looking good so we thought we'd film a
little video showing off the finished
product so this is a rockola 445 from
1970 I really like all of the rockolas
they just uh I just like
them that has a really unique look way
you know most jukeboxes do by any
company but I really like the rockolas
they're just cool uh I like the way the
mech works and one of the first ones I
ever had was a rockola and I'm just a
big fan of rock Olas but I also like the
other ones too but uh uh this is
certainly a cool one this is a lot of
people refer to these as like princess
models because they're a little smaller
there was actually a rockola princess
model that was a
specific uh cabinet but a lot of people
just generically call the smaller ones
princess models so you can see that it's
not quite as tall as some of them and it
also only holds 100 selections so that's
50 45 records double-sided of
course so uh it's kind of a princess
look to it but it's a uh I you know what
I didn't look up if this one had a name
sometimes they named them but it's the
44 I guess you can look that up but it
ended up pretty nice it has this uh
laminate on the side that's like
a I mean it's wood but it's it's thick
here I'll show you what I'm talking
about on the back it's worn a little bit
so you can see that it's just U like MDF
like a lot of them
are but it has a
thick laminate on it that looks really
nice that wood grain and it also has a
wood grain tea molding that goes all the
way around like an edge banding that
also looks very nice the top is metal
and has the
same faux wood grain
finish looks cool to me man I love them
like
that here's the back with of course the
rockola stenciling and the door there on
one of the repair videos we took that
door off and messed around in the back a
little
bit here's the front I'll turn the
lights off here in a minute so you can
see it better but it's got these three
stylish little panels up here and then
the light reflects down underneath them
to where it has this blue carpet feature
you know most Juke boxes have something
similar to
that there's the cash door you know what
I don't know if I've looked in there to
see if there's any
money
H I might have to check that out folks
might have some quarters in
it oh you know what this one the the
coin Mech had been removed hadn't
it so the thing's in nice pretty nice
original condition um this up here would
have been chromed it's plastic but it
would have been like a chrome color and
some of that's missing so it's starting
to Yellow a little bit which is just the
the color of the plastic showing back
through it has a really uh it's 1971 so
it has a really simple selection playing
process where it just lights up uh with
some light bulbs
it doesn't have an LED screen or
anything or an LED uh display uh and on
the 100 selection models it just goes a
through K on the 200 selection models it
goes higher than that I think it goes up
to I won't guess how far up it goes but
it you know there's more
buttons it has this
little thing here with the uh with the
design on it that's similar to the
design on the things down here but the
whole purpose of that was it's the side
size of a record sleeve so if like a
really hot single came out and you had
the record sleeve you could take that
little piece out and Slide the record
sleeve in there to show it off like you
know the new lead Zeppelin record or
something and then it says singles for a
quarter you get one and for half a
dollar you get
three
right and it says select any single
record the little light below it would
say
or any
album now there's a little piece right
here that little long rectangular sliver
there that you're seeing that comes out
on the bottom I don't know what that
would be for though it must have
been
H I don't know what the purpose of that
would be maybe you could change what it
says there maybe you could put the name
of the location there I've seen where
they did that for a while and it says
solid state
stereophonic
very cool I'll pop it open we can look
inside of it for a
minute so here's the inside if you've uh
watched the videos of us repairing it
you've seen all this a thousand times
already CU we went through it for I
think we did like an hour and a half
worth of videos on
it uh so the selection system is down
there at the bottom which also uh is
where the credit uh stuff is actually
that's not
the that's the credit unit not the
selection system the selection system I
guess would just
comprise uh the keyboard assembly up at
the
top that's the Credit Unit up above it
is the power distribution center might
have a different name I may be fudging
that and this over here on the left is
the
amplifier right mechanism down below we
had to take that sucker
apart got it nice and oil though and
cleaned
up you got the right in and readout
assembly over there on the right got the
record platter there in the
middle and that's about it you got of
course you got the couple speakers up
here and then there's a couple I think
they're twelves they're tens or twelves
on the back side of this
door so let me uh let me close it back
up and I'll show you the light
show
so this is what it looks like with the
lights off very good looking Juke Buck
but you know a lot of them look really
good with the lights on look at that
just a cool design man if that doesn't
look like 1970 I don't know what
does so
cool so let's see what's on
it on the um on the
uh flyer
it said that no stooping it actually
says that on the flyer no stooping they
want you to know that you can read all
of
the uh title cards standing up you don't
have to bend over and look down in the
bottom usually they were down
flat all right so we've got the Embers
that's that one we were using to test it
all with the chairman of the board I put
just a couple beach music songs on there
uh if you don't know about Beach Music
people yeah you're missing out uh Billy
Ocean Pat AR so I tried to put stuff
from like the the 70s and the 80s
mainly cuz it's a 1970 box the Eagles
Ario Speedwagon that one's probably a
little too new uh the Eagles the Eagles

Journey if you got a jukebox it has to
have journey in it right ZZ Top Robert
Plant and the Human League All right so
here's the deal if I play this
jukebox YouTube has a habit of deleting
videos that have songs in them so what
I'm going to do is I would hate for them
to delete this great video where I show
off this jukebox and we walk around and
we talk about it and all that just
because they don't like the song that's
playing in it right so what I'm going to
do is I'm going to end this video and
then start another video and upload them
both at the same time so that you don't
have to wait or anything for the next
video but you'll have to click the next
video so that you can hear this thing
play and then that way if they delete
the video they'll just delete that one
of the song playing and they won't
delete this awesome video of us showing
off this awesome jukebox so I'm going to
hit I'm going to end the video uh and
then immediately start the next video
and and record this thing playing so
it'll be up just go to our click on our
videos on our t on our on our list here
on our channel here and it'll be the
next video so uh leave your comments
below what you think about this
beautiful box give us a thumbs up for
taking the trouble to film all of it for
you because we've been working on this
thing for what a week or something right
and uh we'll see you immediately on the
next video where we're playing this
thing
