Mother Duck had to travel far to the market, so she left her little duckling in the care of Mother Hen. Mother Hen called her chicks out to play with the duckling.

As they dug in the soil to find worms, the duckling, with its webbed feet, couldn’t dig properly. Instead, it pressed the soil down, making it harder for the chicks to find worms.

Annoyed, one little chick shouted, “You don’t know how to dig at all! Go play somewhere else and let me dig by myself!” Hurt, the duckling wandered to the edge of the pond to look for shrimp.

Just then, a fox hiding in the bushes spotted the lone chick and lunged at it. Terrified, the chick ran toward the pond, chirping loudly.

Hearing the cries, the duckling quickly paddled to the shore, reached the chick in time, and carried it safely to the middle of the pond. The fox, unable to follow into the deep water, eventually gave up and left.

The chick realized its mistake and apologized to the duckling. The duckling forgave the chick and even shared the shrimp it had found.

Moral: Never underestimate others because they have different strengths. Everyone has unique abilities, and true friendship means helping and valuing each other’s differences.
