SAO PAULO GP PODIUM CELEBRATION OF 2024! Champagne, Trophies...

And that's not a bad trophy that he's going to receive from the mayor of Sao Paulo. The winner's circle and it's a golden circle for a trophy for a driver. Well he's just given us a bit of everything over this race weekend and in the end he saves the very best to the very last. Oh absolutely and yeah we haven't seen that smile for a long time have we from Max. It's been a a frustrating ride for the most part since Barcelona but yeah totally thoroughly deserved victory today. Constructors trophy for Red Bull who might just feel that a bit more back in the game here but they need two drivers to be scoring points not just the one and they still remain some 49 points adrift of McLaren who had that lead in the Constructors Championship and a Constructors Championship that now sees Alpine in sixth place after just a day of epic proportions for the Headstone team. Fair play to Oliver Oaks and the staff and the two drivers. Brilliant to see what they've achieved here today and Max Verstappen with that win and the fastest lap means that he now takes a 62 point lead into the final three races of the season. 86 points remain and it means that mathematically after this win in Sao Paolo today Verstappen can hit the jackpot and produce a fourth world title when we hit Vegas at a fortnight's time. What a drive we started this weekend talking about Max Verstappen's driving standards we finish talking about the standard of his driving. He was quite simply peerless out there today that is why he's a three-time world champion and he's now on the brink of a fourth. That champagne will feel good he had so much thrown at him all weekend and he's turned it round and he has won from 17th on the grid. A quite remarkable drive in such trying conditions. He didn't make any mistakes but then so too didn't either of those Alpine drivers. That is a moment they will cherish for a long long time. They might have not always been the best of friends those two Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon but today having come up through karting and junior formula together they will enjoy that one. No doubt about it but Max Verstappen absolutely incredible. Well done to him he has taken victory here at the Sao Paolo Grand Prix and next up as Crofty was saying it's Las Vegas where he can win it.
