Apple has a master plan to dominate the smartphone market, and it all starts in 2025.
Before I explain how Apple plans to activate the smartphone market and what new products will be released,
if you want to get the latest news, please consider pressing the subscribe button.
For several years, the smartphone was basically Apple's hobby.
It existed, but Apple did not focus on it.
Perhaps the market was not big enough yet.
It may have been too difficult based on the current usable technology.
Or maybe Apple's heart was too small.
Whatever the reason, it's all trying to change big.
So why now? The answer is in Matter.
Before you enter the strategy with Apple's new device, you must first talk about it.
Matter is a new open smart home standard developed by the Connection Standards Alliance.
This is an organization led by members of Apple, Samsung, Amazon, Google, and hundreds of other companies.
With this standard, device makers will create products,
be certified by Matter, and be able to operate on all smart home platforms.
This includes Google Home, Samsung SmartThings, and Apple Home, which was previously called HomeKit.
In addition to the interoperability, what is very exciting about Matter is the support for new functions and devices.
For example, you may know that Apple will add support for robot vacuum cleaners in 2025.
This is all thanks to Matter.
The latest version of Matter includes support for large appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, washing machines, and dryers.
There are also chargers, home batteries, and water heaters.
You can ask Siri if there is enough water left to take a shower, how long it will take for the clothes to dry,
and set up a rule to charge the EV when the electricity bill is the lowest.
All of this is possible with the latest version of Matter.
You can talk about Matter as much as you want.
If you need a video like Matter Newman for Apple users, please leave a message in the comment section below.
If you have enough, you can create it.
There is also a thread next to Matter.
This is a wireless connection protocol like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and ZigBee.
This is a mesh network that has a self-recovery function, has very little power consumption, and has very little delay.
You may have heard that Apple has recently added threads to iPhones, HomePods, and Apple TV.
However, you may not have heard that Apple secretly has threads on Macs and iPads.
These wireless connections are not yet available.
If Apple starts a smart home plan completely,
many people will be able to build a rugged thread network at home with just software updates.
Apple has been building this network with a great deal of effort into smart homes,
and has built a foundation for many years.
So what is Apple's plan?
Let's talk about it.
However, among all the things that Apple has developed, there are some things that stand out as my favorites.
HomeKit loves smart homes.
CarPlay can't live without this.
And MagSafe fundamentally changed how to use the iPhone and how to power it.
The sponsor of this video, ESR,
has many cool devices that can be charged with up to 15 watts of high-speed wireless power using C2.
When I'm at home, I use ESR's 3-in-1 desktop charger.
It's very compact, so even a small nightstand or a small desk won't take up space.
By the way, the Apple Watch Pack can be removed,
and it's very convenient because it simply has a USB-C connector and supports fast charging.
You can charge the Series 10 at 80% in just 30 minutes.
The 15-watt G2 charger also supports ESR's marketing strategy, RevoBoost, for active cooling.
It has an almost silent fan that lowers the temperature, and you can increase the charging speed.
When you're out, try the ESR G i2 battery pack with a 5,000 mAh battery and a 3-in-1 kickstand.
It's perfect for watching TV or traveling for a long time.
ESR S has all the technology you need to survive a day.
If you want to know more, there's a link in the description.
Also, check out ESR's holiday season promotion, which will be 20% off for a limited time.
Apple's master plan will be revealed when the new Apple smart home display is released.
The latest rumors show a 6 to 7-inch display with a compact form factor that can be attached to a wall or placed in a dock.
The docking station may also have a premium speaker like the high-end HomePod.
The display may also have a FaceTime camera.
If you put it on the base, the camera will follow you inside the room.
It may look a little futuristic, but what do you think?
Apple is already ahead of its time.
Does anyone remember the dock kit?
This is a framework that allows you to use a stand and built-in camera.
The camera will follow you.
It's one of the 360 insta and one of the Berlin ones I reviewed on this channel.
In my opinion, Apple is going to use this document kit framework as the basis for a smart home stand and smart display.
Bloomberg says that the Apple camera will be able to identify people in the house even if they can't see their faces.
Probably using AI technology like the back of the head, you can identify who that person is.
Apple is doing something similar to the secure video analysis of the HomeKit, but I hope this will work better than that.
It's a little uncertain.
In any case, it is important to recognize who the person is.
Just like the HomePod, you can see who is asking the question, so you can know which information belongs to that person and is related.
Who should send the FaceTime call?
Who is sending the message?
Whose calendar should I check?
Or who wants to add a program to Apple TV's viewing list?
The last big rumor about this display is that it must support Apple Intelligence.
This is a good thing.
Because you can get a visual answer to the question.
Also, you need some kind of support for the app that is tied to Apple Intelligence through new app intent.
In addition, we know that the personalized version by Apple Intelligence is scheduled to debut in 2025.
I'm very excited about this display.
Apple has been needing physical control of the smart home for a while.
It's a way to see the doorbell ringing, easily control the lights and accessories, and monitor the camera feed.
All smart home platforms other than Apple have them.
So, when will this fantastic and long-awaited new device be released?
Yes, there are some debates here.
After several years of rumors, we finally set the release date for the spring event in early 2025.
However, there is another rumor that it is highly likely that it will be released in the third quarter of 2025.
In fact, we don't know what Apple is planning here.
Supply chain reports may be accurate, but in many cases, they do not convey the overall picture.
Of course, there is a possibility that things will be delayed.
Especially if you rely on Apple Intelligence or something else.
However, Apple announced this product in early 2025, giving developers time to prepare the app.
Before the product is released to the public, there is a possibility that it will greatly enhance the functionality of the software at WWDC.
They've done this before, haven't they?
Like Apple Watch and Vision Pro, there is a possibility that it will explain the delay in manufacturing.
Technically, it is possible that it will be released at the beginning of this year.
This smart display is the centerpiece of Apple's plan, but it's not the whole picture.
There are four more smart home devices that Apple is preparing.
And the last one is my favorite.
The first of these is the updated HomePod mini.
At present, we don't know much about this device.
Perhaps the same round form factor will be maintained, the processor will be upgraded, and the audio may be improved to some extent thanks to the years of development.
According to another report by Bloomberg, this new HomePod mini will be one of the first devices to use Apple's magnetic wireless chip.
This new Bluetooth and Wi-Fi chip may improve connectivity between devices.
It is useful for smart home applications where accessories need to respond quickly.
The second device is a full-size update version of the HomePod, which is technically a third-generation device.
As you know, will this be discontinued and reintroduced?
The HomePod mini is scheduled for 2025.
It is not clear about the full-size HomePod, but it is not particularly studied.
At least one component has been leaked.
The biggest change in this device is that it is a full-color, touch-sensitive, updated top display.
It is not like a touch control, but it is close to a display.
Although it is called A, it is definitely close to a screen and has only color functions.
The third update device will be the new Apple TV.
This has been reported to be ready for a while, and it has been said that it will be released soon.
I think the reason for this delay is closely related to the smart display I mentioned earlier.
The smart display actually runs the TVOS fork version as software.
Since the code is similar, it makes sense for those who made their debut soon.
Some of the effects of TVOS, such as the display of the control center, have already been seen.
There is also a new way to switch between screensavers.
I think these are all very suitable for smart displays.
In fact, Apple may introduce a completely new version of the software called HomeOS for these smart home devices.
It will probably be an item for WWDC next year.
Among the rumored devices, the last device was said to be my favorite.
That device is a smart home camera designed by Apple.
This is the Endeavor of 2026, so don't get too excited thinking that it will be released soon.
This camera may support Matter, which currently does not even support cameras.
CSA's CEO recently said,
If you haven't heard of HomeKit Insider Podcast yet, please check it out.
As I said, the camera will be supported soon.
Matter 1.5 will be announced in the spring,
but there is a possibility that Apple will include cameras for the rest of this year's release in 2026.
You can expect a safe video recording of the HomeKit at a resolution higher than 1080p,
high-definition privacy and security, and a small integration with Apple's new display.
Let's wrap it all up with this.
Apple is trying to release a new smart display that supports a number of new device types,
a complete smart home operating system, and a number of new smart home accessories.
There is a difficult thread network at home to connect everything.
The door can be unlocked when you approach it,
and the Siri equipped with Apple's intelligence helps to control and automate the device.
We are very excited about Apple's plan and hope that further preparation will proceed.
By the way, can I say one more thing?
This was not written in my script, but there is no rumor about this.
This is just what I wish for and think about.
But now is the best time for Apple to revive the Airport Router line.
I know I've talked about it on this channel in the past,
but I still think it should be, and now it's finally happening.
We are in the middle of a smart home revival,
and many devices rely on Wi-Fi to connect,
and Wi-Fi 7 has just been renewed,
but this is a big upgrade, and Apple is now adding it to the device.
Apple can easily add routers using a magnetic chip.
Thread.
And, surprisingly, Matter was added to the router support.
And, surprisingly, Matter added router support.
Not only does it protect the data from the router's manufacturing source and ISP,
but it is also possible that iCloud Plus features will be added,
I sincerely hope that Apple is considering this point.
I think it makes sense.
But I don't know what will happen.
