Nehalennia - Goddess of the Sea

Nehalennia was a goddess of the sea in the Celtic and Germanic territories during the Roman era. The tribes in the Netherlands, France and Germany paid homage to Nehalennia as a goddess of sailors, ships, and their cargos. Mariners prayed to the goddess before setting out on their dangerous voyages across the North Sea.
