Camping Canadian Rockies & Changing Plans

We travel in our Roadtrek Zion to the Canadian Rockies realizing that our plans may need to change quickly due to the heat wave in BC. We camp enroute at Lac Le Jeune Park and end up staying at the Illecillewaet Campground at Glacier National Park (rather than at Martha Creek Park in Revelstoke) due to the extreme heat. We manage to keep our reservations at the Marble Canyon Campground in Kootenay National Park where Gordon hikes the spectacular Stanley Glacier trail and we enjoy a scenic walk at Marble Canyon. After staying one night in Jasper National Park (Wapiti Campground), however, the extreme heat drives us directly home. Only a few days afterwards, we were devastated to hear about the massive wildfire that swept into Jasper. Our hearts go out to all the people in Jasper and especially to those who have lost their homes and livelihoods as a result.
