with air Travelers navigating a busy
airport in Windsor Locks this
morning another record-breaking holiday
travel period is upon us as people

January 2nd TSA expects to screen nearly
40 million people an increase from last
year's 37 million December 20th may end
up being one of the busiest airport days
in that period Friday morning security
lines at Bradley International Airport
were backed well beyond the designated
areas with people trying to make it on
their holiday flights one passenger told
22 News how he was feeling waiting to
get through not the best uh it's a long
line and you know we're looking to go on
vacation but you know we'll get there
eventually when preparing for Holiday
flights TSA says arrive at least 2 hours
hours before your domestic flights and 3
hours before international flights to
allow enough time to get through
security have your boarding pass and ID
ready and follow TSA instructions and if
your packing presents do not wrap them
TSA recommends packing wrapping paper
and tape separately to wrap your gifts
at your destination as for road travel
107 million people are expected to
travel by car and that's 2.5 million
more than last year AAA says the worst
traffic delays will be the weekends
before Christmas Day and New Year's Day
while the best time to travel will be
the holidays themselves and always in
the morning before 11:00 a.m. the worst
traffic is expected late afternoons into
evenings no matter how you're traveling
this coming week pack your patience and
be aware of Travelers around you
remember everyone is trying to get to
their holiday celebration safely I just
hope everybody is just kind to each
other and you know carry the spirit of
Christmas with everybody working for you
