Arcangelo Corelli (born 17 February 1653 in Fusignano; died 8 January 1713 in Rome) was an Italian composer and violinist of the Baroque period. His trio sonatas, sonatas for violin and basso continuo and concerti grossi are exemplary collections of a refined, classical Baroque musical language of the 17th century and contributed to the increasing appreciation of instrumental music.

The concerto grosso emerged in the Baroque period as an extension of the trio sonata; another antecedent is Venetian polychoral music. Formally, it often followed the four-movement church sonata (slow - fast - slow - fast) or the chamber sonata (introduction and several dance movements). In the second half of the 18th century, the concerto grosso was replaced by the symphony and the concert symphony.

The sea of fog overflowing the hills was filmed by Simone Schlegel in Switzerland and edited by Wenjing Ma.
