Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt and Nuremberg Children's Christmas
The Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt is one of the oldest and certainly the most famous Christmas markets in the world and can be traced back to the middle of the 16th century. In the wooden stalls of the "little town made of wood and cloth" you can find traditional, often hand-crafted Christmas decorations, sweet treats such as gingerbread and mulled wine, as well as hearty specialties such as bratwurst. From November 29th to December 24th, 2024, the Christkindlesmarkt is open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. (on December 24th until 2 p.m.).
The Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt is accompanied by the market of the twin cities on the town hall square and by the Nuremberg Children's Christmas on Hans-Sachs-Platz. Here, a magnificently illuminated nostalgic tiered carousel, a mini Ferris wheel and a steam train, among other things, make children's eyes light up. Lovingly decorated themed houses, such as the Christmas bakery and the candle workshop, invite you to actively participate. The children's Christmas market is open until December 30th (exception: the children's Christmas market will be closed on December 25th, 2024).
