Also, can new fans watch the new release without watching the previous movie?
Here's everything to know about the movie and its ending. If you're wondering whether
you can hop right into the sequel without watching the original Tall Girl, you've come to the right
While we wouldn't normally recommend watching a sequel without having seen the first movie,
it's totally doable here. In the opening scene of Tall Girl 2, Jodie and Dunkleman stand facing
the camera and catch the viewers up on what happened in the first movie. We later learn
that the couple are actually oversharing the story of their relationship to an indifferent cashier.
The characters provide plenty of background information for new viewers to understand
what happened in the last movie and avoid any confusion. But even without that exposition
summary, anyone can watch Tall Girl 2 without missing a beat. Does Jodie end up with Dunkleman
in Tall Girl 2? Even though the sequel begins with Jodie and Dunkleman happily in a relationship,
complete with a box from him to stand on to be at her same height,
there's soon trouble in paradise once Jodie starts rehearsing for her lead in the school
production of Bye Bye Birdie. The couple calls it quits after a confounding argument during their
three-month anniversary dinner, which leads to them both getting closer to other potential love
interests. Jodie spends time with co-star Tommy, Jan-Luis Castellanos, while Dunkleman hangs out
with Stig's sister, Stella, Johanna Lyall. However, all's well that ends well as Jodie and
Dunkleman get back together by the end of the movie after the opening of the play.
Dunkleman brings her a framed memento from their past and the sweet moments results in
them falling back in love. Do Stig and Farida end up together? Stig attempts to redeem himself
after breaking Jodie's heart in the first offering. His character comes off as a
balancing ingredient in the equation between Jodie, Farida, and Dunkleman.
Initially, they don't accept Stig in the group, but after showing kindness and compassion,
he becomes a good buddy of Dunkleman. On the other hand, Farida takes a liking to
Stig's character. They head to a clothing shop to look for a makeover for Jodie,
but the shop owner likes Jodie's shirt. After inquiring, she knows that Farida has designed
the shirt, and she has many more in her closet. The shop owner asks Farida to bring clothes she
has designed, and Farida is happy that her dream of becoming a fashion designer is taking flight.
Meanwhile, she knows that the shop owner has put a 20% discount on her clothes,
which outrages her. But thankfully, all her clothes have sold, which gives Farida a chance
to stand up to her uptight parents. However, she later realizes that it was Stig who single-handedly
bought the clothes. Following this revelation on the eve of Farida's birthday, Stig and Farida
kiss. However, Farida backs out moments later, not for Stig's stinking breath,
but keeping in mind the girl code. Farida cannot date her best friend's crush, as per the girl code.
However, during the party on the yacht, Jodie divulges that she has known about
the budding romance for quite a while. Farida and Stig have unmistakable chemistry,
which does not escape Jodie's eyes. Therefore, with Jodie's blessing, Stig and Farida embark
upon a relationship. Stig even asks Farida to join the foreign exchange program in his Swedish
school. And while Farida does not give Stig a definitive answer, her expression suggests
that she has taken the suggestion under consideration.
